A Spoon Full of Sugar - 3D projects

Hello and welcome to another challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar and this week our challenge has been set by our own Michelle who is looking for you to create something 3D and this could be as simple as layering your image using foam squares or create something 3D.
We are sponsored this week by Bunny Zoes Crafts, so please go check out the fab prize and see what the DT have created this week Here.
I have chosen to alter a giftbag. This is one that I picked up on sale at Tesco after Mother's day. The image is one of a new collection of cute little mice from Digi Stamp Boutique and the papers are by DCWV. I have used a sentiment from Papermania and the flowers are by Prima.

The sketch that I have followed is the one at Sketch Saturday

Have a great 3D week.

Copics Colour Challenge #57

Here we are, Wednesday again and time for another Copics Colour Challlenge and here are the colours for this week. As always, if you don't have the exact colours use the nearest that you have and as long as they are copics that is fine by us.
We have a great sponsor this week and some really fab cards from the DT which you can see Here

The papers that I have used are Elines Babies from Marianne Designs and they are just yummy - I also have the pink version of these and they are equally gorgeous. The flower is by prima and the Thank You tag from a QVC set that I have had for ages. The sketch that I have followed is the current one at Truly Scrumptious and the little image is from Digistamp boutique.

I hope that you have fun with these colours.

MoJo Monday card

For the first time in ages I am up to date with my DT cards and have had a bit of time to enter a challenge. I have used the sketch over on MoJo Monday this week as it was just perfect to use with this digi image from DigiStamp Boutique.

My daughter Stephanie had asked me to make a card for her boyfriend's sister Nicola who is expecting her first baby. (not sure why she couldn't make one herself - but Hey isn't that what mums are for!! - just kidding Steph!!)

The papers that I have used are by Imaginsce and the flowers by prima - I have made the sentiment on the computer.

It was really good to make a card other than a Christmas one for a change and I also have a couple of other to do that do not have a Christmas theme so that should be fun. I also need to get some inserts done for Christmas cards that a local company that my company works with have asked for as they are having a stall in the Eastgate Centre in Inverness for the next 4 weeks. If anyone reading this blog lives in Inverness, please go along and see the Ness Soaps stall from Saturday onwards as they have some fabulous Christmas gifts to tempt you along with some other local crafts. I will pop along at the beginning of next week and take a couple of photos to post here.

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday.

Copics Colour Challenge #37

Here we are half way through the week again and time for another Copics Colour Challenge and what a treat we have in store for you this week! Our sponsor this week is none other than Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. To read all about the fabulous prize that Kimmie has put up for this week's challenge please read Here and at the same time have a look at the beautiful cards that the rest of the DT have created with this weeks colours. Remember you don't have to have the exact colours, just use the nearest in colour that you have, as long as you use copics that will be fine by us and of course you can combine these colours with some others.

This little image is from Digistamp boutique and doesn't she look so warm and cosy in her winter coat. The papers and sentiment are all by My Minds Eye and the snowflakes from a sticker sheet. The sketch is the one at Mojo Monday

I am scheduling this post to appear around lunch-time as I just about to head off to Aviemore for a conference today. It is a gorgeous day here so it should be a lovely drive up through Speyside as the colours of the autumn trees here at the moment is just spectacular.

Have fun with this week's colours.

Milly singing Carols

Just a quick post with this card that I have made using the really cute Milly singing Carols from Digistamp boutique. You may remember that I used a smaller version of this cute image on one of my tags last week. I had also printed out this larger version at the same time and it has been sitting on my desk since then and was begging to be put on a card - so here she is. Papers are my My Minds Eye and the snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

I had a lovely day out yesterday with my crafy pals Kate and Jean at the SECC in Glasgow at the Hobbycrafts show. We left really early (6.30am!!) so that we could get there at a reasonable time and we got home around 8.30pm last night - long day, but a great day out - thanks for the wonderful company girls and also thanks to Jean's husband who so kindly got up at some unearthly hour to make sandwiches for us.
Now just need to find somewhere to put the new stash that I bought which is still sitting in a bag in the middle of the lounge floor.

DU2DS challenge#24 - no squares allowed - shaped card

Our challenge at DU2DS this week is "no squares allowed" - you need to make a shaped card or other project. This gave me the chance to get on and make some tags for Christmas gifts and here I have attached one to a small bottle of Port for an adult gift and the other one to a gift bag full of sweet treats for a child.

I have used Bo Bunny papers and layerd up 6 circles cut with nestabilities (3 on the from and 3 on the back and before glueing them altogether I cut 2 small ovals which I also glued together and stuck between the back and fron large circles to create a tab for threading the ribbon through (I needed to do this as the image was fairly large and there was nowhere to puch the hole at the top of the circle). Because of all the layers and the glue when the whole thing has dried it is really sturdy and almost has a leather-like quality to it. I think these could even be hung on the tree as ornaments. Both images are from Digi Stamp Boutique - I have a few more of these fab images and they will be made into tags over the next few weeks.

This is a picture of the back of the tags. I had almost forgotten that I had this stamp and it is so ideal for the back of tags.

Have a great weekend.

I will be back with another Squiggles Stamps card tomorrow featuring one of the new boy stamps.

Dare U 2 DigiStamp - Challenge 17 - Sketch by Larissa

This week at Dare U 2 DigiStamp we have a fabulous sketch for you to follow which was designed by our talented DT member Larissa. You can check out what the DT have come up with this week Here

I have used Milly with Flowers from DigiStamp Boutique on my card for this challenge. I have coloured her with copics and the little flowers are by prima with a small half pearl for the centre. The DP is a 6x6 from Making Memories and the sentiment is one that came free with a magazine.

I have a completely free weekend coming up and am so looking forward to some quality craft-time and hopefully a bit of relaxation before I head off on holiday next Saturday - can't wait!!

Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing how you use Larissa's sketch.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Challenge 16 - anything but a card

This week our Dare is: Anything but a card.
It can be anything you like such as a gift bag, gift box, ATC, or a bookmark. We're sure you'll come up with many more gorgeous creations which of course must include a digi image. We hope you can join us.

We are offering a prize this week of two single digi images from Sketching Stamper and two single digi images from Sandra Dry Designs, you can get more information and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the DT here

For my project this week I have covered a little notebook. This cute little image is a new one from Sally-Ann at Digi Stamp Boutique, her name is Sophie and she is a real cutie.
We have out grandaughter, also named Sophie coming to stay at the weekend and this will be a nice little gift for her. The papers are by Making Memories and the flowers by prima. I have used a quickutz alphabet to cut out the Sophie letters and given them a bit of bling with stickles. The image has been coloured with copics and I have paper pieced the dress with some of the Making Memories paper.

On the back of the book I have used another of Sally-Ann's stamps and this one is called Sidney.

Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing what ideas you come up with for the challenge this week.

Copics Colour Challenge # 16

Hello and welcome to challenge 16 at Copics Colour Challenge.
Kay of Toodles & Binks is offering some great goodies from her online shop to one lucky, randomly selected winner. Up for grabs are two stamps (pictured below), some Zoomz and some Chiaro Flo embossing powder so be sure to play along for a chance to win.

We have a lovely colour combo for you to play with this week - R11, Y06 and E39. Please remember that you don't have to use these exact colours. If you don't have these specific ones, just use your nearest shade. As long as they are Copics, we don't mind!

I have used this cute little digi stamp from Sally Anne's Digi Stamp Boutique. DP is We R Memory keepers and I just love these 12inch papers as they have the four different patterns all on the same sheet plus the back has a different pattern - just fabulous for us cardmakers, flowers are by prima and sugar coated brads by doodlebug.

Pop on over to the blog Here to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and perhaps give you some inspiration.
Happy crafting.
