A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 53 - Lace using Sketch #52 at Sketch Saturday

Our challenge this week is to add Lace to your card
If you do not have any lace you are very welcome to use a lace effect punch.

Our sponsor this week is Stampavie. They have kindly given us two Leere Aldrich stamps for one lucky player. Not only that there will be a few surprise craft items in your package too! Thank you Michelle for arranging this fantastic prize!

I have used one of the beautiful new stamps from Charmed Delectable Stamps this week on my card as she goes so well with the lace I think. The lovely little stool that she is sitting on is also from Charmed Delectable. DP are Kaisercraft and lace and other bits and pieces from my stash.
I have followed sketch #52 over at Sketch Saturday for this card and so will be able to enter it for their weekly challenge.

Go check out the blog Here to see the amazing creations from the rest of the DT.

Happy 1st Birthday - A Spoon Full of Sugar, with Marlene's Fab sketch at the Sugar Bowl

Woooo Hooooo!!! Today is A Spoon Full of Sugar's Birthday.. Yes, our challenge is 1 year old!!!

We want you all to join in the fun this week so our challenge is a nice easy one. We would like you to create a card for a Celebration..... any celebration will do... Birthday, Anniversary, Baby Announcement.... anything goes!

We have lots of fabulous prizes this week! Our very generous sponsors this week are: Whiff of Joy, Whimsy Stamps, Roses on Paper, Nutcrafters and Silly Monkey Crafts. Yes that's right 5 lucky people can win a prize this week! Pop on over to A Spoon Full of Sugar to read all about these prizes and also to see the wonderful cards by the design team and also the fabulous cards from the our special Guest Designers Deb and Marlou.

I have chosen to make a Birthday card (as I needed one!) and have used one of the Gorjuss Girls from set one - I really think this is my favourite out of all of them. The papers are from Kaisercraft and I have been saving these as they were almost too pretty to cut up. Flower, ribbon and buttons from my stash.
I have not finished the inside of this card yet, but hopefully will get it done tonight and will update this post when I complete it.

I have used the fabulous sketch my Marlene over at The Sugar Bowl, so I am entering this card in the challenge over there.

I do hope you all manage to join us in this bumper celebration week at A Spoon Full of Sugar and I look forward to seeing your beautiful cards.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Challenge # 5

Hi there, Friday again and time for a new challenge on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp. This week we have a wonderful sketch to follow designed by Sandra . Check out the blog to get some inspiration from the wonderful creations of the rest of the DT.

I have made a notebook week with the sketch this week. I am heading off on holiday this evening to our place in Spain for a week. We have some friends that are planning on using the apartment during the summer time and I decided to cover this book so that I could write down some instructions for the likes of the washing machine, air conditioning, where to find the nearest supermarket, doctors etc.
I have used this cute house image by pink petticoat and the papers are from KaiserCraft, flowers are a mixture from Bo Bunny and Imaginsce and the ribbon, charms and gems are from my stash.

I will not be around much over the next week to get around your blogs to see the wonderful cards you make, but will be back again in just over a week.

Have a great week.

Inspirational Card Sketches #13

It is Tuesday and time for another great sketch from Dawn at Inspirational Card Sketches. I found this one really challenging, but hey that is what challenges is all about ahd I know you will love it. This week's challenge has been sponsored by Dustin Pike and if you pop on over the the ICS blog you will get his contact details to check out his fab images.

For my card this week I have broken away from my usual pinks and pastels as I thought that this cheeky little fairy which incidently is one of Dustin's, needed something really colourful and bold. The papers are from a pack from Kaiser Craft and the sentiments are from a set of stickers that I have had for ages that came in a scrapbook pack and I think they may be by Doodlebug and they are just perfect for this little lady. Flowers are prima and the white flower brad with the jewel on it is doodlebug.

Have a great week and I hope you have fun with this sketch.

A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge 48 - Sketch by Caryn

This week at A Spoonfull of Sugar we have a wonderful sketch by Caryn to follow. Pop on over here to see the beautiful cards that the rest of the DT have created with this sketch.

I have used one of the new set of Gorjuss girls from Sugar Nellie, DP are from the Garden Vellum pack from the Kaiser range and the flowers on the front and inside the card have been cut out of one the sheets in this pack. Swirls are cut with a quickutz revolution die and sentiments on the front are from Claire Curd's signature range.

Inside of card

This may be the last card for a wee while that I will have time to finish both inside and out as I am off on holiday on 2nd May and will be doing my best to make sure that I have cards ready for the Design Teams that I am on during my time away.
Things will be back to normal when I return on 9th May.
I am off to the Isle of Skye on Thursday with work for a couple of days so I am hoping that the weather will be good so that I can take some nice photos. I was there a couple of weeks ago and the weather was really miserable so the photos that I had hoped to take and post on here did not happen. Better luck this time!

Have a great week.
