Boys! Boys! Boys!

Happy Friday, I can't believe that I have finsihed a project on a Friday night, I have really got to get a life. But, I have been thinking all week about the cards that I wanted to make. And even when I am working I am planning my cards in my head. How addicted do you have to be before it is a problem?

I would like for you all to come back on Sunday, I will be announcing my celebration plans. I have been blogging  for almost six months  and would like for you to celebrate with me. As you know I love to shop. But, more than that I love to get a bargain. And hate to pay full price for anything. They call me the coupon/sale queen. I AM SO PROUD.  Well, during my shopping trips when I find a good bargain, I usually buy more than one. So from Sunday to April 27th I am going to have blog candy. I will give the details on Sunday.

Now on to my card. My card is a boys spring card. I have used a Mo's Digital Image I am hoping that the card will be accepted in Mo's challenge which is pastels. Some of my colors are and some are not. But, I love this image, it is a little boy dressed like a detective and I think it is called "looking for clues."  I cut him out used pop dots to give the image dimension.and set him in a field of flowers where  he is looking for bugs. The next challenge is from Cute Daisy May and is called for the boys. The next is from Tuesday Taggers bugs. The challenge at Tuesday Taggers is being sponsored by The Craft Barn. I feel so silly. They said that you have to leave a link. And I went over to try to leave it. When all I had to do is what I do so well. I have no idea where my mind has been.  Well I think that my card covers all of that. The papers used were Bazzill for the card base. I have made a gate card. This is a really easy card, you just score the paper twice and it is done, almost,  the DP is from Basic Grey. The butterflies I got on clearance last week. The ladybugs are from my stash and I found a small butterfly punch in  one of my boxes and made the smaller butterflies. The bumble bee is from my stash. I colored my image with Copics, E31, E3, E41, E40 Y21, B21, W1. I stamped the word spring with a $1 stamp from Michaels and the rest of the sentiments I wrote and typed on the computer an then colored over it with my metallic gel pens. Well here is my card. I cut my sentiment shape with my Cuttlebug and Nessitbilties.

Green, Green and more Green

I am back and this time with Tilda as my guest. She is all decked out in her green outfit. We are here for a challenge and the first one is Magnolia Down Under, this is the first time I have entered this challenge and it is a recipe challenge. The challenge is 3 papers ( I hope this meant DP paper) 3 flowers, 2 buttons and 1 bow. I hope mine works. The second one is Magnolia-licious Highlites, this one is a sketch.

I rotated the sketch and I think that is ok. My card is different shades of green which falls under another challenge at Cute Card Thursday lucy green. They did not specify which shade of green, so this is good. The next one is Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge, the challenge is to pop things up. I popped my Tilda image and the mat that she is sitting on. Another would be at Stamp Something, the challenge is something girly.  Bling and flowers should fit that category. One other challenge would be at In Styles Stamps Blog, this challenge is to use ribbon. I should have that covered.  Tilda can usually be bought at the Magnolia-licious Online Store, but I heard from Sharon that this one is out of stock. While trying to link to the store, I found that there is a problem with it at the moment. I will come back later and try again.

That should cover the challenges. Now a little about my card. My card base is made with Bazzill. I do love the choices of colors and the feel of this paper. Two pieces of the  DP is from Basic Grey and the other is from the Paper Studio. The sage green ribbon is from my stash. The buttons are from a bag that I recently bought at Hobby Lobby. Boy did they come in handy. The bag is loaded with spring color buttons.  I used a 40% coupon on them. The flowers are from a pack that I bought at Tuesday Morning for $.99 a jar. The bling is from my stash and I used the small Nesstibilites fancy tag for a sentiment. I haven't decided what occasion I am going to use this card for so I left it blank. The branches were cut with a Martha Stewart punch. I colored my card with Copics

Skin: E13, E31
Hair: E09, E02, E15
Clothes: G21, G24, G40
Shoes: W3
Jewelry: spica glitter pen Sand

I greatly appreaciate all coments and words of inspiration.

Green, Yellow and Gray

Good morning, once again I am up earlier than I want to be and have decided to post my third card of the weekend. It is a Mo's Digital Image, the image is the little girl reading in the window seat. I am unsure of her name. She was a freebie from Mo sometime ago. And this is the first time that I have colored her. It is also for the challenge at Mo's Digital challenge blog. This weeks challenge is a sketch.

I doubled the challenges up and used a color challenge from Copic Colour Challenge.

I haven't decided what occassion this card will be used for. But, I will probably send it to one of my granddaughters as a thinking of you card since I have already made all of their birthday cards.

This card was made using The Paper Studio as the card base the DP inside was from a pack that I got at Walmarts (Best Occassions). The bling is from my stash and I used the Spellbinders fancy tag cut with my Cuttlebug. The image was colored with my Copics. (I have got to start practicing with my Prismacolor pencils or auction them off)

Good morning, it is Monday and the weekend is over. Time to go back to work and earn some more money. But, before I go, I have another card to post. See I was very busy this weekend. I used another Tilda. This one from the Winter kit. But, as usual I am not sure what she is called. But I love her just the same. I can't wait until I can go shopping over at the Magnolia-Licious online store. The customer service is fantastic.

The black and cream DP is from the Paper Studio and so is the cream paper that I embossed with the textile embossing folder from Cuttlebug.. The card base is Bazzill. The lace is from a goodie bag that I received for my birthday. The black and cream ribbon is from the Paper Studio. The bling is from Michaels and is by K and Company. the red hand made paper is from my stash and I love the texture of it. I colored with my Copics.

Lilac and Aqua

It is Sunday afternoon already and I have not finished no where near as much as I planned. But, I did finish this little card and I wanted to share it.  As the title states the colors are lilac and aqua. Tilda is my image and I think she is called the pink Tilda. But, I colored her in lilac. I used my Copics and I think this card has become one of my favorites to date. That will probably change with my next card. But for now, this is it.
The card has taken me off into challenge land. You know how I love a challenge.  I will list them all soon. The Copics used were;

Skin: E31, E21, E33
Hair: E09, E21, E25
Dress/leggings: V12, V04 (lots of layering withthe color) lilac Spica glitter pen
The card base is Bazzill, the DP is from the Paper Studio, The aqua roses are from Prima's new spring mix, the  lilac roses are from my stash. The leaves/branches are a Martha Stewart punch, which I recently got at Walmart after it was put on clearance. All of the bling is from my stash that keeps on growing. The ribbon was in a goodie bag that I recently received for my birthday.  The tag is from Spellbinders fancy tag collection. I just recently ordered the new ribbon tags from Joann fabrics. I can't wait until they get here. I sat Tilda on the ribbon, because I did not want her to be floating in the air. Tildas mat was cut with my Nesstibilities large deckled rectangles. and then I embossed it with the Cuttlebug argyle folder. That's it. Now on to the challenges.

Wow, I think that is all. It is more than I have ever done before. What fun that was. Well now I guess I should show you my card.

Thank you for stopping by.

It is Time for a Thank you

Good morning, I am back with another card . I am beginning to wonder if my followers don't like the cards I am making. I can tell that people are visiting my blog. But, not many of them are leaving comments. How depressing is that. I was hoping that they followed because they liked my stuff. Oh, well.

My card this morning is made for the Basic Grey Challenge, it is a color challenge this time and the colors are Marroon, lemon (yellow) and pink. I used the paper from their Lemonade pack that I got for my birthday. This paper is gorgeous. I can't wait to get some of their other items. The sketch is from Mojo Monday. I of course used the square one. I have not figured out yet how to make a round card.

The next challenge is from the Sophisticat Challenge Blog, now you know how easy that was for me (I love my Cuttlebug and own over half of their embossing folders, working on the next half. The reason that I bought the cuttlebug was for the embossing.) , so it just fell into my plans. Let's see, that makes three. The last and final one is, I Love Digi Challenge Blog, think Pink. Once again it just fell into my plans. I love a good challenge and here I have four that just go together so well.

Now on to my card. I colored the image with my Copics. and the image is from C.C. Designs (2009). She is the Swiss Miss Rosalie. She was given to me by one of my scrapbook group and I wasn't sure what I was going to do with her. I colored ups two images, one in oranges and the other in pink. And here my card is full of pinks, so once again it just came together.

Copics used were: along with glitter and gel pens
Skin: E31, E33 (I finally got some refills and I'm ready to go)
Hair: E09, E21, E25
Shoes: Sukura gel pen pink
ribbons: Spica glitter pen pink
Dress: RV02, RV11

I used the swiss dots embossing folder and the swirls embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The ribbon was from my stash. And I tied the bow without any glue. I think I am getting better. I have never been able to tie a bow without having it wrapped around something. I used my brand new fancy tags from Spellbinders. I do love Spellbinders. The sentiment is from a clear set that I got at Michaels. The butterflies were laying around on my desk for weeks because, they had fell out of a box I was going through. But when I was finishing up this card, I looked at them and thought how they would even out the sides of the card. the card looked unbalanced and the butterflies gave it a litle balance. Well here is my card. It is getting late and I have got to get ready for work.

I don't know why but I could not get my pics to the center and I don't have time to play with it now. I hope you like my card. Please leave a little love in the comments.

Friday Sketchers Christmas Blog Hop

Hi all, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that you got all that you wished for. I am back with a new post and it is for Friday Sketchers challenge, but this time there is a part 2. Each of the DTs sample card is on their personal blogs and each is giving away blog candy. You have to go to Friday Sketcher to get the order of the Blog Hop. There is some really great blog candy being given away. At each stop on the Blog Hop you have to leave a comment to be eligble for the prizes.

Now on to my card. My card was made with the sketch from Friday Sketchers and it was made using the giggling Tilda. I had colored this image a few weeks ago but was unsure as to how I would use her. and now here she is. I colored her with my copics and as you can see blue is her color. On her hair I used E09, E25 and E31 and blended. Her is skin is E31 and E33. Her outfit and socks were done with B21, B24, B32 and BG72. the card base is some card stock that I found at Michaels this past week for 5/$1. It is called Bluebell Metallic and was made in Italy. The feel of the paper is what made me buy it. I got 5 different colors of this paper. The patterned paper is left over from my granddaughters scrapbook. the light blue card stock is from Bazzil 5x7 earthtones. The sentiment was typed on the computer and then I used distress ink to color it. Pop dots were use on both the image and the sentiment. The blue butterfly was found in my embellisment stash, I don't remember where they came from, but I got four to a pack for $.34. The ribbon was bought at Hobby Lobby and the little swirlly things on the ribbon is Spellbinders Shapeablilities (Symbology) and I ran it through the swiss dots folder on my Cuttlebug. The dew drops were given to me by a friend.

Please leave a comment, I love hearing from you.

Happy New Year

It seems as though I have been away for a really long time, even though it has only been a week since I posted my last card. Well I finally finished all of my Christmas cards and they are in the mail and some have even been received. Glad that is over. My card today is a New Year card. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is a freebie that was given after Mo reached 700 followers on Paper Craft Planet. Is'nt she the best. I love this image. The card is also for a challenge  at Mo's. The theme is Just White. Everything on the card is white except the image. The image was colored with my Copics, on the baby's skin I used E21, the hat C3 and C5. On the banner I used Y08 and Y21. on the dog I used E25, E31 an E33. And I used crystal stickles on the year and to give the image a little pop. For all of the different textures I used my Cuttlebug and the circles for made with my Nesstibilities.

The card is also for Mojo Monday #117 challenge. I would really love to hear from you. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Mummu Dances

Ok, I am back and I think this one is really good. First off let me say that the image rocks... it is from Mo over at Mo's Digital Pencil. I love it. When I am more mature I hope I can rock it like Mummu...

Now for a little about the card. I'm sure that those of you who check me out on a regular basis know that this card is for a couple of challenges. First, is the Colour Create Challenge. The colors were lilac, aqua, black and white. I think that I hit it on the head. Secondly,  its for a sketch over at Mojo Monday challenge #116. once again this is totally there. Of course I colored it with my Copics; the hair was done with W1, W3 and W5. The skin is E31 with just a touch of E33. The jacket was done with B21, B24, B32. And then this morning I added a little of BG72 over it and I knew that was what I wanted. The skirt was a challenge in itself because I just wasn't sure what I was looking for.  I used V04, V12 and RV00. I even put a little R29 on her toes. Last but not least on her shoes I used E09, E37 and E33. Don't you just love it. I used my scalloped Nesstibilites in the 3 larger sizes for my circles. The paper was from Hobby Lobbies Paper Studio. I bought it specifically for the color challenge. The ribbon is from my growing stash and I actually tied a bow. The words in the sentiment come from a stamp that I have from Stampabilities. They were typed on the computer and then I used an EK punch for the edges. I have really got to learn how to use these stamps. I guess it will take practice, practice and more practice.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of my newest card.

My Love

It is finally Saturday and I get to play with my colors and papers.

This has been a week. I don't know if I ever mentioned that I got rear ended at the end of October or not but, yes I did. Well after finally getting my car fixed, it did look good for a 12 year old car, I drove it for only a few days and it rained. Well imagine my surprise when I opened my trunk and found water standing in it. As soon as I got to work I called the dealer who had done the repair work to let him know what was going on and he said to bring it in. When I got in the car to take it to the dealer I found water all the way through out the inside of the car. What a way to start your day. I sometimes think that the universe is having a joke at my expense. Well anyway I got my car back once again. The dealer says that he sealed it up. And I pray that is so. Can you imagine me riding down the highway and the bottom of my car falls out because it has rusted out from all of the water that was in. And there I sit... What a joke that would be.

Ok, on to my card. My card today is all about the DIVA in us... it is for 2 challenges the first over at Tellens Place, where if you look on my blog to the right, I was in the top 3 for their last challenge. This challenge was to use pink and red for more of a Valentine's theme. The image is also from Tellens Place it is one of three freebies that they offered this week. I could not resist. I colored with my Copics; E09,E33 anE37 on the hair. The skin I used E31 and E33. The dress I used R27, R29 andR39. On the top of the dress and the shoes I also use my spica red glitter pen for a little shimmer. The paper is from the Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby. I used the scalloped circle Nesstibilites for my cut out shapes. I really enjoyed making this card. The pink and red roses were given to me by a friend in the most wonderful goodie bag. What a friend?

Oh, I almost forgot. The sketch is from Friday sketchers and I will enter this card in that challenge also.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Thank you with Tilda

I can't beleive that Thanksgiving has come and gone already. Now it will be all about Christmas. But I wanted to do a card that was just to say thank you to someone special. I have gone with the fall colors and all textured papers using a sketch from Just Magnolia. This card will be entered into their challenge for the week and also over at If the Shoe Fits.. Scrap it, their challenge was to be thankful.

To color the image I used Copics, E09, E31, E33, YG31, G21, YR09, R02. The thank you stamp is from Hampton Art and I stamped it with momento ink. the lots of love sticker is from EK Success's phrase cafe. All of the textured papers are from the Paper Studio. and the paper behind Tilda in multiple colors is from The Dollar tree. The flowers were bought at Michaels. I used Nesstibilities to cut the shapes used for the text and matting of Tilda. I used pop dots to make Tilda stand out. The brads are from my ever growing stash and the rhinestones are from Scrapbook Mania, my girlfriends and I took a short road trip there last weekend and I bought lots of goodies that I am looking forward to using in the near future. I am looking for tips on doing skin coloring. Any suggestions?

Another Christmas card

Well it is the day after Thanksgiving and I am still busy making cards and having a really good time with it. For all of you that spent the day out shopping, I applaud you. I don't know how you can stand all of the madness of trying to be the first to get the special prices. But on to my card.

This card is for a challenge over at Tellens Place a blog that I came across yesterday and liked, the challenge was to use red and green, how easy is that. They offered a free digital image and a chance to enter their challenge. I colored the image with my Copics R27, R29 and R39. For the skin I used E31 and E25, I am still doing a lot of practice for skin tones. Sometimes to me they seem to come out blotchy. For the boots I used W7.  On the white fur of the outfit I used the crystal stickles. On the snowflakes I used the crystal stickles and  the xmas red and lime green stickles to give them sparkle. I used my Nesstibilities to cut the text and layer it.

I am also going to enter this card in the challenge over at Friday Sketchers #80 since I used their sketch for this card. Please leave a comment I would love to hear from you.

It's all about love

Happy Thanksgiving everyone... I am thankful that my family is healthy and happy, and most thankful that I have 4 days in which to practice my craft. Did I tell you that it has become addictive?

The card that I have today is to congratulate one of my co-workers who became engaged over the weekend. And it will be entered in a sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday Sketch #114. The sketch was not a lot of layering but was a clean and simple look. I loved it and it was perfect for this card. I hope you like it.

I started with a stamp of a dozen red roses (we always think of love) from Inkadinkado. I used momento tuxedo black to stamp with. I colored the roses with my Copic markers; R39, R27, Y21 and G21. After coloring with Copic I went over selected parts of the roses with my Spica glitter pens. I love these things. On the stems and the ribbon I also used the Spica. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, bought at 50% off, the red roses in the corner were from a very good friend who gave me a load of goodies that would make you scream with excitment. I did. The bling is all from my stash. I do love the bling. I think when you look at this card you will think of love. The shape around the dozen roses was cut with my Cuttlebug and my newest Nesstibilities, I do love Spellbinders and can't wait to get my next set.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
