CHRISTMAS TAGS

Finally time to post a little Christmas cheer. The tags in this post were made as a birthday gift for my friend. She had earlier asked if I could design her a set of tags for Christmas. So I took the challenge and this is what I came up with.

The papers are from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas Pad. The stamp is from the Paper Studio set I bought a few years ago. The ribbon is celebrate from Michaels. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz fired brick distress ink.  On the back I stamped to and from. I cut the the 2 different size tags using the my Cricut. My friend loved them and once again I met the challenge. This is the same friend that bought my first cards and as a result I sale quite a few of my projects. These or some similar will be added to next years projects.

Good morning, it is Saturday and that means that it is time for another challenge at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog this is their 2nd Blogaversary and my last week on the Design Team. I would like to thank Mary and Stacey for giving me the opportunity to work with them. I have enjoyed the last 6 months and look forward to joining in with the challenges as often as possible. This week the challenge is RED, WHITE & BLUE with the optional extra of GLITTER or BLING. The 4th of July is fast approaching and this is the perfect challenge for the week.

This week we have 5 sponsors it means that there are 5 chances to win one of the sponsor prizes. Here is how it will work...
2 winners will be chosen from all of the cards and projects that are entered.
2 winners will be chosen from all of the entries that use an image from one of the sponsors from this challenge. If you use an image from one of the sponsors and want to be put into the drawing for one of these prizes put a # beside your name when you link your card or project.
1 winner will be chosen from all of the entrants who leave us a comment on 2 Sisters challenge blog.

Now a little about my card, the image is from Digi Doodle Shop and is called mini skirt. It was colored with copics E09, E11, E13, E15, R29, R24, B24, B26 and clear glitter pen. The 4th of july and starts were cut with cricut by a friend and came in a kit she put together. The sparklers also were in the kit. The flag was bought at Hobby Lobby on clearance last year. The papers are from the scrap file.

BABY ITS COLD OUTSIDE-LET IT SNOW

I MADE TOP THREE AT CRAFTS 4 ETERNITY

Good morning, I am here with a quick post and I am running a little late. First of all it really feels like winter here in the south. And boy am I cold. It is hard to tell the difference between the cold in Chicago (where I am originally from) and the cold we are experiencing here in the south, it really  reminds me so much of home). So I thought that I would post my winter charms, that were made for the charm swap that I participate in each month. The theme is blue, silver, white and snowflakes.

The technique for the tag is one used by Tim Holtz in the 12 tags of Christmas. I made these smaller that the one I did for his challenge. The snowman is cut from the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge. I used crackle accents on the snowmen and then blue alcohol ink mixed with fixative and rubbed it on the snowmen. For the tag I stamped a snowflake on it several times and then used clear embossing powder and my trusty little heat gun and then went over it with the same mixture as the snowmen. I used blue stickles on the scarf and the beads are a mixture from Michaels and Walmart. The snowflake attached to the charm is actually a christmas tree ornament that I painted with gesso then after it was dry I painted on some modge podge and dipped it in some fine glitter. Once that dried I put on more modge podge and let dry. accented it with a little blue stickles. Well, that is  it for this project. Now, on to the challenges.

TIM HOLTZ 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS continues

Hi all, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas/holiday celebration. I did and on my down time I got to do some crafting. I was able to complete two more tags similar to Tims in the 12 tags of Christmas. I completed #s 5 and 6. Since I don't have all of the products that Tim used, I improvised and made them my own.

For #5, I used the Sizzix embossing folder Christmas words. I rub versamark on the top part of the folder and then ran it through my cuttlebug.  I then sprinkled the tag with white embossing powder and used my heat gun. After which I rubbed the tag with brick red distress ink. the wreath was cut with my cricut and pearls and stickles was added to decorate. The ribbon is from Michaels.

#6 was embossed with one of the cuttlebug art deco embossing folders and then each section was rubbed with a different distress ink. the music section is just a scrap of paper left over from another project.  The sentiment is also left over from another project. the wreath was cut on the cricut from the Joys of the season cartridge. All ribbon is from my stash. Well that is it for now. I am working on #7 and hope to finish them off eventually.  I have had a wonderful time making these tags and next year I will use them on the gifts that I give to friends and family.

Well, for now this is it. I will be back later with an annoucement of what the new year holds for me.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS #4

Good morning bloggers, time is quickly running out for Christmas preparation. Only two more weeks to finish all of your shopping and decorating. I do love Christmas. I have been playing along with Tim Holtz and his 12 days of Christmas. Although, I am only up to #4. I hope to finish them all by the end of the year. Mostly, because I love trying the new techniques even though I don't have all of the products that he uses. I just emprovise with the things that I do have.

I used the #8 tag, and sail boat blue (andirondack alcohol ink) along with the silver fixative to get the color of the tag. I then stamped snowflakes with a recollection stamp using versamark ink and heat embossed. The snowman was cut from the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge and I used crackle accents to get the cracked look. I colored it with the same inks as the tags. The clear charm is Tim Holtz, the button is from my stash and the #25 is a chipboard letter set. The ribbons are from my stash. I did not have any white tulle (which is what Tim used). The pearls are Tim Holtz as is the wishes coin. The snowflake is cut with a Martha Stewart punch. Well, that is my tag, now on to #5.

JUNK CHARM SWAP AT THE VILLAGE

Hi everyone, I am back from vacation and my daughter and I had a wonderful time in Vegas and Arizona at the Grand Canyon and we also went to the Hoover Dam. there is just so much to do in Vegas. Everyone should go at least once.

I am here with a very short post to share some charms that I made for a swap at the Stampin' Dymonz  Scrap Shack where I am a member of the Design Team. I don't usually do swaps, but this is something that I had wanted to try and this was just a perfect opportunityto do it. The swap was to make 3 charms and you get 3 charms. How easy is that. This one is called a junk charm. And you were to use things found around the house.

This one was my test charm to see if I could handle it, since I had never tried this before.

Well, these are my charms, I hope you like them.

A VISIT WITH MO'S DIGITAL

Hi everybody, this has been a really strange week and I still feel like everything is moving in slow motion. I have worked late every day since we went back to work, but I have been crafting because it keeps my mind off of all of the devastation of the past couple of weeks.

I have not made anything using my images from Mo's Digital in a very long time. The challenge this  week is Monochromatic and she is having a GD call. You have to enter the challenges the first two weeks of each month to be considered for a GD spot. I have missed Mo and her images and I have used one of the two year olds with attitude. The card I have made is  the second one of this type that I have finished, but I have two more started on my desk waiting to be finished. It is a diagonal pocket card. The instructions can be found on Splitcoast Stampers, it was just so easy to make and it only took 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper. The tags were cut from scraps.

Aren't these just the cutest. I thought that they would be hard to do, but they were not. You should give it a try. The image was colored with copics E09, E11, E13, E23, E15, BV00, BV02, BV04. I used the lilac spica glitter pen on the stripes. The 2 sided card stock is from Recollections and there were 5 different colors and the animal prints, this paper is just perfect for this card. The flower punch is from the Paper Studio. The bling is from Kaiser Scrapbook. the smile stamp is from Paper Inspiration. The sentiment is from Stampablities. I used one of the animal print embossing folders from Cuttlebug to emboss the scalloped ovals. The tags were cut with my Cricut

Of course there are challenges. Where have you been? I always have challenges.

RETAIL THERAPY

Wow, another Friday and over at Tellen's Place the challenge for this week is "Polka Dots". Well, I like polka dots and I bought this particular paper to use on a baby scrapbook that I have only done a few pages for, I really do need to get to work on that. But, instead I decided to use some of it on a scrapbook page for me. Back in August when I went to Chicago, I told you that I went to Archivers to shop. Well, I did shop. As a matter of fact I went back for a second time before I came back home. The employees got a kick out of my first visit because I had my granddaughter take pictures of me shopping, I knew that I would have to do a scrapbook page of my visit. I used the shopping diva image from Tellen's. I really liked her because she has lots of bags in her hands. I colored the image with copics E00, E11, E13, E15, E09, E25, E53, E21, RV00, RV02, RV0000, RV11 and the pink spica glitter pen. I used a little antique linen distress ink around the edges just to tone down the white. I used Bazzill card stock for my background sheet and the pink polka dot paper is from The Paper Studio. The letters and numbers were cut on my wonderful Cricut using the Jublilee cartridge. The flower is from Prima and was bought on this particular shopping trip. If you look closely at the center photo you will see these same flowers on the shelves.

Yes I do have a couple of challenges that this will work on. I know that I have not been posting very nuch this month, and I will do better. But, I found that I was spending way to much time blogging and being on the computer during the last year. I have had to try and get this under control. There were too many things in my life that I just let go by the wayside once I got interested in card making and blogging. So, I will be posting a couple of times a week and I hope to get in more designing and the time to try more different techniques.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011

Good morning, I hope that everyone had a fabulous Christmas. I did, I spent it with my 2 sisters and their families in Georgia and we had a wonderful time. Good food and fellowship and lots of presents. Can you believe that I got 6 Cricut cartridges. Well, some of them were my gifts from last year. Since I was unable to make it over there. So they were waiting for me this year.  On Christmas it rained and then the rain turned to snow and it actually stuck to the grass and cars and then froze up. On Sunday the temperature was freezing and the wind was blowing at about 27 miles per hour. Before I moved south, I never thought that it got that cold. Well the holidays are almost over and I glad to be back to creating. I am looking forward to a new year with lots of new opportunities. I am looking for a photography class and I am starting to train for my first 5K of the year.

If you will notice, I have added another app to my blog. It is the "TOP TEN MEMBERS" I would love it if you would sign in when you come for a visit and let me know you were here.

Ok, now for the reason that I am here. The TELLEN'S PLACE DESIGN TEAM has been on hiatis and now we are back. The DIVAS have been really busy creating and we are looking forward to a great year with lots of fun challenges. Today we would like to wish you all a  Happy New Year and we would love it if you would stop by and check us out at Tellen's Place Designs. Our first challenge will be on January 7th. Come on by and play with us. There are lots of new images at the shop and the DIVAS are all rested and ready to rock. In stead of a card, I made a scrapbook layout. I have lots of pictues to work with and I loved the images that I used from Tellen's.

Have you made any new years resolutions. Or like me have you set new goals and opportunities for yourself. My next post I will tell you a couple of my goals for the year. Now here is my project.

My images are colored with copics E00, E11, E13, E09, E15, E25, E53, G12, R24, R27, R29, W1, W3, W5, W7, Y08, spica glitter pens red and gold. This is not a really good picture. The lighting in my room was not so good when I took this. And no I did not use my new camera. The title of my page was cut with my Cricut and Jubliee cartridge and then I used stickles Christmas red on each letter. You can't see the sparkle but it is there. The bling is from my stash, when I bought it , I bought all I could get because I loved it so. Red, black and clear bling all in one place. What's not to love. The card stock is Bazzill The glitter paper behind the images is some that was in my Christmas present from my sister and is from DCWV it has different shades of gray and lots of glitter. The pack is fabulous with lots of different designs and lots of glitter. She said that she thought it would make really pretty cards. I agree with that. What would one of my post be without some challenges to go along with it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

WOW, life is really busy this week. And there is just so much to do. This is the first thing that I have made all week although, I do have several projects in the works. this is all that I have finished. As you all know I have been saving my money to buy a new camera. Well, I finally got it on Wednesday and I have been spending a lot of time trying to learn how to use it. There are so many gauges and buttons that this could take a while. I am also looking for a Photography class to take at the beginning of the year. Wish me luck. the camera that I bought was a Canon EOS Rebel XS and I love it. It came with 2 lenses, camera bag, picture card and 3 books on how to take better pictures, plus all of the usual stuff. I got such a good price at Sam's Club. I had been pricing this camera at other stores and just the camera with one lens was $549.99. So yes, I did get it at a good price for the kit. So wish me luck that I will learn how to use it. I do love a bargain. This is my Christmas present to me.

Now on to my tag. Yes, today I have a tag to present. I made several, but only took a picture of one. I stamped the snowman and then cut him out of a light foam and paper pieced him back together. The little coloring that I did was done with copics. The tags were cut with my Cricut and embossed with the snowflake embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The paper used is from the Paper Studio. The sentiment is part of  a set for the Paper Studio that I got on clearance. The bling and ribbon is from my stash. Well, here it is.
As you can see this is a very simple tag, I needed a couple to use on presents and this is it. And since I am here, I would like to enter it into a couple of challenges.

A VISIT WITH SANTA CLAUSE

Hi all, just a short post for today. I have been kind of sad today, yesterday I lost a very special person in my life. She has been a valuable influence on my life for all of my life. And her absence will be felt for many years to come. I was not very creative today and spent some time going through old photos remembering happy times. So, while I did not make any cards, I did do some scrapbooking and my project today is of a picture of me with Santa Clause.

The picture was taken at Walmart last year. I was walking through the store doing my shopping and I guess Santa was having a slow day. They asked me if I wanted to take a picture with Santa and I agreed. When I told my granddaugthers that I had taken a photo with Santa, they got such a kick out of that. The DP paper is from The Paper Studio. The paper pieced Santa is from Kayla Kreations. The paper with the swiss dots is Bazzill. I cut the title with my Cricut and the snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and glitter paper from Walmart was used for both. And since I am here, I guess I might as well enter this page into a couple of challenges.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

THIS CARD WAS A WINNER AT COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE BLOG --- CHALLENGE #53 --- RED - GOLD - CREAM OR WHITE.

I WON-I WON-I WON-I WON

Well, the weekend is almost over and finally I have something to post. It is not like I haven't been working, because I have. I finished off two card orders that I need to deliver tomorrow. One was for 36 notecards, matching of course. I love my cricut and cuttlebug. There was embossing and her monogram of each. And let us not forget my xyron 250. This thing has been sitting in my office for over a year and I bet I have not used it more than twice before today. And for over six months I have been gluing all the initials by hand. 3 per card. What was I thinking (I wasn't thinking) otherwise I would have been using the xyron. How many of you, buy different tools and then don't use them? How many different tools do you have that have never been used? Tomorrow I am going through all of my stuff to see just what I own and I am going to start using it and that means I have to get it out of the drawers and boxes.

Oh well on to my card. A couple of weeks ago when I was in Chicago, I visited with my best friend and she mentioned to me that she had just had an anniversary the day before. My mouth fell open. I could not believe that I had forgotten. I was the matron of honor in their wedding. The next thing she said was, "I did not get you card, you always send us a card". She was right. I have never forgotten her anniversary in 9 years. So my excuse was that I had been busy, but it would be in the mail soon. well her and her husbands birthdays are in 2 weeks. So, I have 2 more cards to get ready for the mail. But, I finished the anniversary card and here it is.
The card is red gold and cream. The image is from Digital Doodling by Wendy. I love her images and this silhouette was just perfect. My friends have been happily married for 10 years. They are one of the few couples that I know who actually work together to make it work. You don't have one pulling this way and the other pulling the other. There are days that I wish I had what they have. The sentiment is from a Penny Black Christmas stamp set that I bought at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago for less that $4. there are a total of 5 stamps included. So it was a deal. The papers were all from my scrap file. I have way to much paper in my scraps. So I am working to use some of it. The roses are from a goodie bag that a really good friend gave me months ago, I don't think that I will ever get to the bottom of the bag. The bling is from my stash. I punched the leaves with a Martha Stewart punch. I think that they will like it. I am going to do the inside of the card before I mail it.

There are a few challenges that I would like to enter this card into. The first is the sketch. It is from Secret Crafter.

I changed the shapes but, the sketch is still there.
Fussy and Friday Christmas colors (I think red and gold fit)
Colour Create inspiration (Red gold, cream or white)
Order of the Opus Gluei  Alphabet (letters/words)

Well, This is all for this post. I hope that you like it and I will be back later with one more project.

Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday, I have to say it is good to get something finished. I was out of the house all day yesterday and did not make a thing. Yesterday I spent the day at our regional airport watching the Air Show featuring the Blue Angels, who literally played tag in the air. Those guys are wonderful. I saw more planes and acrobatics than I have seen in a long time. It is amazing what they can make those planes do in the air. I had a good time, but, I am glad to be back playing with my papers.

This card is a birthday card and of course I have a few challenges that I want to enter it in. The sketch I used was from Inktegrity Designs but I think they will probably disqualify my entry. I have to much bling and just realized it. It was supposed to focus on the image and basics. So I think that means no bling. I will have to do another for them. But, here is the sketch.

The other challenges are:
 The TownScrappers Pink and Purple
Stamp Something Birthday Something
Whoopsi Daisy As you like it
Fab N' Funky  Fancy Edges
Digital Tuesday A Toast to You
Pixie Cottage Make your own charms
PaperPlay Challenges Digi and Bling

Now a little about my card. My image is from The Stamping Boutique. I do love the images that Tracey has to offer. You should go by and check them out. I colored it with copics. E25, E13, E11, E21, BV04, BV11, BV00, E59, E53. My papers are from the Paper Studio so sweet pad, Bazzill for the card base and other card stock. The paper with baking items is also from Hobby Lobby. The charms were cut on my Cricut and they actually have little holes in them. The bling is from my stash. The birthday sentiment is from TPC Studio. and the make a wish sentiment is from Inkadinkado. Well here is my card.

I hope that you like my card and that you leave me lots of love.

BUTTERFLIES! BUTTERFLIES! FAIRY AND MORE

Happy middle of the week. It is Wednesday (hump day), why do they call it hump day? I have never understood that all. What I do understand is that it is two days until the weekend. And if it is Wednesday, that means that it is time for another Tellen's Place challenge. The Tellen's Place Divas have been hard at work to bring you some great inspiration. Take a moment and stop by the DT blogs, you can get there from my sidebar. Leave a little love and let them know that they are apprecited. This week it is butterflies and dragonflies. One or the other or maybe even both. I have chosen a lovely image from Tellen's Place Designs she is the cutest little fairy I have seen in a long time. And if you go by the store you will find lots of great images to choose from. Plus there are mini kits and other treasures to be had. My card is colored with copics, E25, E13, E11, E21 for skin. I am trying new things. R11, R20, Rv14. Spica glitter pen, pink. The paper is from The Paper Studio so-so sweet pad. the card base is Bazzill. the butterflies were cut on my Cuttlebug, with my Spellbinders shapeabilities butterflies. It was bought on clearance and I am so glad to have it. I love the look of my butterflies. The smaller butterfly is from my stash.I cut the ovals on my Cricket. and embossed it with the swirls folder from Cuttlebug. I actually intend to make a wand to put in the fairies hand and make this a birthday card that says make a wish. Well, I am going to keep this post short. So here is my card.

The sketch for this card is from Crazy 4 Challenges

And I plan to enter it into a challenge at Whoopsi Daisy Challenge  (used to be Cute Daisy May) Linnie took a break and came back with a new name and new images check out her store Whoopsi Daisy Designs I love her images and I am really glad that she is back. Her challenge is now monthly and this first one is "As you like it" and you can enter it more than once. I will also be entering this card in a challenge over at Flutter by Wednesday  butterflies, fairy, angel. One more challenge would be at Crafty Creations something magical. I think a Fairy would qualify. Well that is it for now. I hope that you like my card.

Tellen's Place Weekly Challenge #11

Hi all, if it is Wednesday, that must mean it is time for another challenge with the Tellen's Place Divas. This weeks challenge is a sketch:

I love sketches because it takes a lot of the guess work out of making a card. Join us in this weeks challenge at Tellen's Place. Terry and the other DIVAS; Lyn, Mia, Robin, Jane, Alicia, Pam, and myself. We  love to craft and hope to inspire you. And if you would do me a favor and stop by the blogs of the other DT and let them know that they are doing a great job. We all work hard to visit the blogs of all of the challengers  and leave comments. This is a time consuming process, but we do it because we know how much it means to the people who visit Tellen's Place and enters the challenges. We really do appreciate all of your support. You can reach each of their blogs from my side bar under Tellen's Place Design Team.

As usual Terry is offering a free image that can be used in this challenge. I think I made a boo boo and used the wrong image. I hope that Terry will forgive me. But, the image that I chose, I have been wanting to make a card with it every since the first time that I saw it. I have some good friends and made this to thank one of them for being such a good friend when I really needed it.

Don't forget to go by Tellen's Place Designs and take a look at the great images that Terry has to offer there. I love them and I think that you will too. Now on to my card.

My card is made with Bazzill cardstock for the base and Basic Grey is my DP. Are you seeing a trend. Every since I received my first pack of Basic Grey, I can't seem to get enough. The DP comes from the green at heart paper pad. I love this paper. The colors and feel of it is just so rich. The image is drawn by Terry's son, Markus who is a very talented artist. The ladies sitting at the table having tea/coffee are Mary and Bev. They are friends who love to get together to chat and shop. I used my copics to color the image and the little teapot on the table was given to me by my dear friend Pam. I cut out the image and popped it up with large pop dots. the ovals were cut with my Cricut. the ribbon is from my stash and the friend to friend stamp is from Michaels $1 bin. The bling is from my stash. I embossed the two purple ovals with my Cuttlebug argyle and swiss dots folders. Well I guess I should show you my card now.

I will be entering this card into a couple of challenges. The first is Paper Take Weekly Challenge the challenge is anything you want. When I started blogging almost 6 months ago, I had no idea that there were so many wonderful craft places to go. This is just one of them. Love this site. So I think this will work for them too. The next is The Pink Elephant the challenge is pastel colors. The next is Colour Create the challenge is your choice of pastels Easter or spring. I guess I got some of this covered. Last but not least is Crafty Creations Challenge  anything goes. I love this site, it has only been a few weeks since I found them but they are great. One other challenge is at Creatalicious Challenges your favorite drink hot or cold. I hope that you like my card and would love to read your comments.

Missing You

Here it is Tuesday afternoon and I am home posting a new card. No, I did not lose my job. I woke up this morning feeling more lousy than I have in a very long time and decided that I needed a sick day. I have been sleeping on the couch until about 45 minutes ago. After getting up and eating a little something I had enough strength to finish up a card that I had already started. My image is a Tilda and you already know the best place to by your Magnolia stamps is Magnolia-licious Online Store, Diana is always ready to give the best customer service in the states.

My card could probably be used for many occasions but I decided to use it to tell someone that I missed them. I also am using this card in a few challenges:

First up is Stamp Something, Something cream and green
Second is the Pixie Dust Studio Pixie Challenge, Buttons and Flowers

And last but not least is Secret Crafter Saturday, Anything goes This was my first time visiting them, but I will be returning again soon.

Now a little about my card. The card base is Bazzill "Glass Slipper" which has a shiny texture to it. The cream and green card stock is also Bazzill. The DP is from the My Minds Eye Home Collection. The ovals were cut on my Cricut. The flowers are Prima frosting flowers. The brads are from my stash. The buttons are from the Paper Studio. The leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. And I used my Spellbinders fancy tags to stamp my sentiment which is from Inkadinkado. I used my Copics to color Tilda who is leaning on her elbows thinking how much she misses my friend.

Skin: E00, E11, E31 (I am trying some new colors)
Hair: E13, E15
Top: E40, E41, YG95
Crystal Stickles was used on the wings

I hope that you like my card as much as I do. Now I think I need to go back and lay down some more.

New Cookbook Page

Good morning, once again I am sitting here at my computer at a time when I would rather be sleeping. But, my internal clock says that it is time to be up. So up I am... I have been busy with creating and have a new cookbook page for my sisters birthday cookbook. On this one I used  Apple pie Tilda which I purchased at the Magnolia-licious store. You should go by and check it out. Tell Diana that I sent you. I love that store and the customer service is fantasitic.

I colored my image with my Copics and the colors used are as follows:
Skin: E31, E33
Hair: E25, E31, E37
Dress: G21, G07, Y15, Y21
Pie: E42, E25
Shoes: E25
Stove: W1, W3, W7
Sink: E21, E27, E25, E59
Curtains: Y08, Y11, Y15
Chair: Y08, Y11
Bowl: E40, E41
Apples in bowl: R27, R29
Rug: same colors as dress

The papers are from a pack that I bought at Tuesday Mornings, It is called juicy summer and contained this lace cardstock with the apples. I really love this paper. Some of it has shimmer and the patterened papers are perfect for a cookbook. I wish that I had bought more of it. Now they don't have any left. The kitchen scene was stamped at a friends house and I am not sure who makes it, I will find out and add that information later. The card stock for the letters and background are from my scrapbook stash.

Well here is my project. The words were cut with my Cricut.

Challenges, Challenges, Challenges

Good evening everyone. I am back and ready for another challenge. This time at the Basic Grey Challenge blog. I have been wanting to do one of their challenges for weeks and I could not because you had to use at least 2 items from their line. I hope that the two sheets of Basic Grey paper from the Lemonade paper pad counts. I got two pads for my birthday on Monday, the lemonade and the wisteria pad. I do love them. I hope to get some of the brads and things real soon.

My image was colored with my Copics (what else?) and for this card I used Tilda. I am not sure what this is called, but she has wings and is sitting with one knee pulled up. I had originally colored her to use on the previous Tilda card and then changed my mind. This Tilda like so many others can be bought at the Magnolia-licious Online store. Diana, the owner is wonderful and the customer service that she gives can't be beat. I have never had to wait very long for my orders to ship. Go on by and take a look. If you don't see something, just ask Diana.

The sketch is from Basic Grey. The card base is Bazzill and I used my Cuttlebug for a little embossing and cutting. The flowers are Prima and the yellow ones are from my stash. The oval that Tilda is sitting on was cut on my Cricut. The pink checked paper is  from the scrap file. This card will be used in two other challenges, the second is PaperTake Weekly, the challenge is to use gingham or checks. I think I have that the covered. The first Basic Grey DP is multi color gingham. and then there is the pink checked paper in Tilda's mat. the Third challenge is over at Sophisticat Challenge blog is to use stitching, either real or faux. I had to go with the faux because taking out my sewing machine is just to much of a hassle for a few stitches, but know that I am look for a place where I can set it up for always. I really do like the look of the stitching on other peoples cards.

The Copics used are:

Skin: E00, E33, E31
Hair: E09, E27, E21
Shoes: E21, E31, E29
Pants: R27, R29 and spica glitter pen Lipstick
Shirt: RV11, RV14
Wings: crystal stickles
Bows: Spica glitter pen Lipstick

Well here is my card and I hope you like it. The words from your comments make me work harder to get better.
