I have another Purple Onion Designs card to share :)  These images are just so darn cute! I used lot's of masking on this card and coloured with copics.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - 2nd Entry

Tiddly Inks Challenge

Hello. It's a beautiful sunny Sunday here and I have spent the morning colouring :)

I recently purchased some Tiddly Inks images (totally adorable!) and since they are having a CAS challenge at the moment, I thought it was about time I coloured one up.

This is my first time attempting to colour pleats - I watched a video by the extremely talented Alyce from Kit And Clowder - I don't think I completely mucked up :)

This fun paper is from Lawn Fawn's new line Daphne's Closet and it is super yummy. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler.

Bon Voyage

Hello

I had a bit of time to play this week and was looking for a challenge to get the old mojo flowing. I came across Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge 163 - Something Old, Something New, which immediately made me think of this stamp (Elaine) which I have had for ages but only used once I think.

The idea to have a world map as a background popped into my head quite quickly, which is unusual for me... this blog is not called '1 Card. 3 Days' without good reason!

This map is an image I found on the internet and I added the sentiment before printing. So... something old is the lovely image of Elaine and the something new is the map image :)

I am also going to enter this into Simon Says Anything Goes challenge.

Hello

I had some time to play with my copics and coloured in this gorgeous image from Saturated Canary. I thought I would have a go at the latest SC challenge - 'inspired by a song'. I was inspired by 'When Doves Cry' by Prince - loved him when I was a teenager :)

The card itself is super simple - patterned paper is from My Minds Eye and the sentiment is one I masked from Jane's Doodles "You're A Hoot'. 

I am also going to enter this into Inky Chicks - Anything Goes Challenge.  This is their first challenge and it's a nice easy one :)

Happy Sunday :)

While I am on holidays, I wanted to have some fun and enter some challenges - seems like ages since I played along. Both of my kids are away house sitting for friends, so I should have lots of spare time, only they have been home every day for food and the Air Con!! LOL, we'll see if I manage more than one!

Hero Arts And A New Challenge

Hi there.

I haven't used my Hero Arts stamps in a while and I need to start making some Christmas cards. There is also a new challenge blog - CAS(E) this sketch - just started and I love their designers, so I am playing along with them :)

This paper is an old one from My Minds Eye and is super busy, so the clean design of this sketch was perfect. The 'Classic Holly' stamp is really lovely and I paired it with a sentiment from Paper Smooches 'Christmas Sampler' and the very cute 'Stitched Sentiment Flag' die from Lil' Inker Designs - LOVE! 

Ok, short and sweet from me today, lots still to do :)

Exciting News!

I've been dying to spill the beans for ages and now I can tell you!  I was lucky enough to make the Skipping Stones Design Team!  

You can check out the reveal of the new team on the shop blog here!  And I couldn't make the announcement without having a card to share :)

I used Distress Inks to do a water colour wash and then stamped the image and sentiment from Heartsong 2.

I wanted to play along with CASE Study's latest challenge, 'to CASE one of our players' and I chose this gorgeous card by Sanketi.

I have some truly gorgeous cards to share with you today, but first, I would like to welcome back Iwona to the Jay Gee's Nook Design Team! We are so excited to have her join us again :)

And can I just say WOW! This card is amazing - Iwona is certainly back with a bang :) Superb colouring as always. This adorable image is called 'The Runaway' from Gorjuss.

I LOVE the elegant look of this bookmark. Angeline used 'Beautiful Botanicals' from Skipping Stones Designs. Make sure you pop on over to Angeline's blog - she has made more of these gorgeous bookmarks in a variety of colours.

How perfect is this card from Ange!  It is brilliant use of negative die space for a fun rainbow effect. The image is from Paper Smooches 'Teen Routine' and the music notes die is from MFT.

For my card I used this super sweet 'Poppy' image from Purple Onions Designs, coloured with Prisma pencils (still learning to get the hang of these :)) The sentiment is from Jane's Doodles 'Just Dad' set and the little banners from 'Party Time'. The embossed background is an old Cuttlebug folder called 'bloom dots'.

I am entering this into the current Simon Says Challenge -Animal Antics.
