This is a very CAS card, lol, but I like that for a masculine card - no fuss.

Ai Challenge

Hello

I have a card to share that I made for the current Ai Challenge - Show Off Your Sentiment.  This is a sentiment only challenge - no images allowed! Eeekkk!

Now Ai have some of the best sentiments around, but this was a real challenge for me. I turned to the fabulous world of blogland for inspiration and here is what I came up with :)

I used Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks for a water colour wash background and then used white ink to add open and closed circles.

I have another card to share today using the fabulous Whoots stamps from Art Impressions - I just don't seem to be able to get enough of them at the moment!

I stamped the image from the Five Whoots Set, drew in the branch and coloured with copics. I then trimmed along the branch line and mounted the panel with foam tape. The sentiment is from the same set.

Old Guys Rule!

I'm excited today, because not only do I get to share the latest challenge over at Art Impressions - Like an Emboss (wet or dry embossing), I also get to show you one of the 3 New Ai People stamps being released!

If you are familiar with Art Impressions, then you will recognise these fun old guys from the Ai Pop-Ups. I am so happy they have now been released in rubber too :)

I've coloured the image with copics and then used foam dots to pop them up against this fun brick wall embossed background. The sentiment, which also comes in the set, was stamped before embossing.

Hoot Hoot

Hello 

I love creating little scenes on my cards, it's so fun.  This adorable owl is called Little Whoot from Art Impressions, which I combined with the sentiment from the Chatting Whoots Set. All the Whoots sets are fabulous to mix and match with.

To help build my scene, I also used the Fence stamp, also from Art Impressions, which is such a great stamp to have in your stash.

I have combined a couple of different sets from Art Impressions to create a little scene. Both sets are actually Fronts & Backs, but I have chosen to just use the fronts.

The window is 'Window Front' and the sweet little children are from 'Boy & Girl Mini Set" - the sentiment also comes with this set.

I have a simple, almost one layer card to share today using Rockin' Ruby.

I masked the background and coloured with distress inks. Ruby is coloured with copics and then fussy cut out. 

Quite by accident the rocking chair fit the curve of the circle perfectly! Happy coincidence :)

I hunted high and low to find some sequins and all I had were these little flower sequins :) The adorable owls are from the Five Whoots Set and are coloured with copics.

To My Main Squeeze!

I am back today to share another card with an altered stamp… this time only a slight alteration :) I have used the Main Squeeze set from Art Impressions but have left off the second layer and action wobble for a simpler look.  

Both the image and background were water coloured with Distress Inks - something which I really enjoy but don't get time to practice enough :)

My Advice...

Hello 

Today I am sharing a card using only part of a stamp. A Tryfold card looks fabulous, but they are a little more time consuming to make. 

Ai have some great Tryfold stamps, but for my card I have just used the 'middle' stamp from the Floordrobe set. It's a wonderful way to get more out of your stamps.

Because Ai make some truly fun sentiments, it's always easy to mix and match - I have used a sentiment called My Advice.

I love using stamps differently than what was intended and Reindeer Games is one of my favourites. Simply by changing colour combinations and some careful fussy cutting you can turn this fabulous Christmas stamp into a stamp that could be used for numerous occasions.

I also used the Whoop de do sentiment stamp, but again made adjustments, only stamping the second half of the sentiment.

The stack of presents is one of those 'extras' from an Ai Pop Ups :)
