June SFS

Happy Summer!  I hope everyone is having a great summer and getting lots of stitching in.

I am happy to say, I have been stitching. My stitching mojo finally returned, so I put it to good use as you can see below.

Notforgotten Farms free chart from her blog.  I used a combination of DMC and GAST threads.

School for Little Witches by the Little Stitcher.  35ct fabric and a combo of DMC and GAST threads.

The piece on the left is by Shelly Austen, called Jack in the Boot.  I love the play on words on this piece.  The one on the left is Sew Paris from IStitch.  I  couldn't pass finally stitching one up as I love all things to do with Paris.

My purchases for the month are as follows.  The Primitive Hare Early Witches Mystery Halloween SAL for $15.90.  You can see my small start of it on the right.  The other purchase was Notforgotten Farms Hallowe'en Queen with fabric and DMC for $27.81.

All in all it was a great month. I am just hoping I can keep up the mojo and do the same for July.

Still Here

Good Afternoon. I am still around, but haven't had time to do any posting and I am really missing the blogging and reading everyone's blogs. I have been stitching though. Will hopefully be back soon to share what I have finished stitching.

The kids have been keeping me busy with all their activities and I have been busy with the committees I signed up for at the beginning of the year. I think next year I am going to take a backseat and see if other parents step up to help.

I will leave you with pictures of what I am stitching on. As you can see, right is it is St. Patrick's Day themed. The one in black fabric is a free chart from The Primitive Hare called Irish Shamrock. The other is a free chart from Plum Street Samplers called Hares Lucky Day.

Merry Christmas

I had a goal of stitching a Christmas ornament a month, but I missed February, and I wasn't going to miss March, so I dug through my Christmas patterns and found one that only took me a few hours to stitch up.

This is Merry Primitive Christmas from the Primitive Hare.  It is also stitched on 40ct. Golden Harvest.  Instead of the DMC floss, I used floss from Hand-Dyed Fibers.  I love the silk thread from them.  If you haven't tried it yet, I would highly recommend you do.  I didn't iron it either, as it is in a envelope along with a few other pieces on its way to the finishers.

Now to run a couple of errands and then decide what my next start will be.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and gets lots of stitching done.

All Is Well

Hi!  We have made it through surgery.  Talia did really well today.  She no longer has her adnoids or tonsils.  Her throat is sore but she is really enjoying all the ice cream and popicles.  Today was pretty easy for her, but the doctor did say Days 4,5, and 6 will be really rough as that is when the healing starts.  She will be home from school until after Easter now.  No running or gym for two weeks and a soft diet for 2 weeks also.  Hope she doesn't get sick of the soft food to fast.  We would still really appreciate it if you would keep her in your thoughts yet through this healing process

I have been doing a little stitching and do have another little finish.  This is a free chart from the Primitive Hare called Please Enter Your Pin.  It is stitched on 40ct Golden Harvest linen.  I used a hand-dyed fibers threads called Aquamarine.  This little piece is also off to the finisher.  It will be finished as a little pincushion to stitch my pins in.

Off to get Talia her medicine and ready for bed.

Shamocks Anyone

Hello out there!  I hope everyone is having a great week.  It is nice to know that the weekend is almost here.

I have done a little stitching, and finished stitching up another piece.

This is Irish Shamrock from The Primitive Hare.  I stitched it on 40ct. linen in my stash and the thread is Crescent Colours Poblano Pepper.

This was a joy to stitch.  I think I am in a St. Patrick's mood, so my next start will be another St. Paddy's piece.  Though I should really get back to the 31 pieces I started in January.  I love to start things, but have a hard time finishing them.  Maybe I should make a goal to finish 1-2 of my WIPS from January before I can start a new piece.  I wonder if I could stick with it.

I am off to stitch for a little while tonight.

Belated Valentine

Leave it to me to be late in wishing everyone a Happy Valentine!  I hope everyone had a great day!  I had a nice day.  It was low key, but that is fine by me.

I am still trying to get over a sinus/ear infection.  I was back at the doctor yesterday and she put me on a new antibotic and also told me to start taking Zyrtec and Singular on a daily basis.  She wants to see me in 6 months to see how I am doing and to see if that helps the sinus infections.  If it does, I will still on that regimen indefinately.

I did manage to finish stitching up the Valentine Freebie from The Primitive Hare.  I used a piece of fabric I had in my stash.  The thread is Belle Soie Rosebud by Crescent Colours.  Her silk is a dream to stitch with.  I think I just might have to start purchasing more of these silks!
The fabric pouches were made by Faye (aka Carolina Stitcher).  They are gorgeous and so cute!  I am going to use them for my scissors, needles, pins, etc.

That's all for now.  Off to get ready for supper.  Need to eat earlier as DH and DD are off to the Daddy/Daughter Dance tonight at school.  DD is so excited.  It is all she had been talking about all week.  I will try and post a picture of the two of them next.

Until Then
Happy Stitching
