Still Here

Good Afternoon. I am still around, but haven't had time to do any posting and I am really missing the blogging and reading everyone's blogs. I have been stitching though. Will hopefully be back soon to share what I have finished stitching.

The kids have been keeping me busy with all their activities and I have been busy with the committees I signed up for at the beginning of the year. I think next year I am going to take a backseat and see if other parents step up to help.

I will leave you with pictures of what I am stitching on. As you can see, right is it is St. Patrick's Day themed. The one in black fabric is a free chart from The Primitive Hare called Irish Shamrock. The other is a free chart from Plum Street Samplers called Hares Lucky Day.

Until Next Time

1st Finish of 2013

Happy New Year everyone. I hope the Holiday Season was wonderful for everyone.

I am happy to have my first finish of the year. I am taking part in a Halloween monthly SAL and this is my piece.

The designer is Plum Street Samplers and the pattern is Stranded Jacks. This is one of five patterns. I used 36 ct. Linen and mixture if WDW, CC and GAST threads. I loved each stitch of this piece. I am really looking forward to stitching the other four pieces soon.

Have to run to the doctor. I have been having a stabbing pain in my ear and my jaw and cheek have been hurting when I open it for a few days, so i am thinking either an ear or sinus infection.

Until next time

Christmas in July

Good Tuesday Morning!  I hope everyone is well!  We had some much needed rain early this morning, though we sure could use some more.

If you haven't seen yet, Paulette from Plum Street Samplers (www.plumstreetsamplers.typepad.com) posted a new free chart yesterday.  I love coffee and I couldn't resist stitching this up for our Christmas tree this year.

ISHW Progress

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  We had a great one.  Saturday afternoon we had a birthday party to go to.  They had a bouncer, small pool and slip n slide for the kids and lots of beverages for the adults.  It was a great time to hang with friends we don't get to see often and catch up.

This pass weekend was ISHW and though we had a party, I was able to get a lot of stitching done.   It was a weekend where I just couldn't settle on one piece to stitch on, I had to stitch on multiply pieces. The top left corner is the start of the Halloween Stocking from La D Da.  It can be found in the new JCS Halloween Issue.  It is such a fun piece to stitch and I love the fabric from Needleworker's Delight that I am using.

The top right is the start of Plum Street Samplers Yuletide.  The beautiful ornament can be found in the JCS 2011 Christmas Ornament Magazine.

The Bottom piece is the finished piece of A Pumpkin of my Own by The Sampler Girl.  It can also be found in the 2012 JCS Halloween Issue.  I think this one is going to go to Faye for her to work her finishing magic on.

What did you stitch on this pass weekend?  Did you got a lot done?  I have a busy week ahead.  Lots to do around the house, plus I am chairperson of one of the school's committee, and I have to get ready for our Preview Night and in between there also get ready for Liam's Birthday Party and also for vacation.  So much to do and so little time to do it!

Halloween In July

Hello everyone!  I hope all is well with everyone.  It has been a crazy couple of weeks around here.  The kiddos got back from Grandma and Grandpa's and thus started another whirlwind of activities.  We had swim lessons, afternoon swims at the pool, skateboarding, dance class and many other things.  Also had my in-laws visiting for a week and that can be stressful.

I did manage to do some stitching and have a finish.  I started this piece back in Match 2011.  I don't know why I put it aside, but I loved every minute of it.

Designer:  Plum Street Samplers
Design:  Halloween Hornbook
Started:  March 11, 2011
Finished Stitching:  July 1st, 2012
Fabric:  36ct. Edinburgh Ancient from Picture This Plus
Floss:  DMC

It will be flying off to my finisher this week.  I am thinking I will have my finisher finish it as a wall hanging.

I am trying to decide what to stitch next.  Yuletide by Plum Street Sampler or Casting a Spell from Blackbird Designs.  I am also waiting impatiently for the new Lizzie Kate Halloween Mystery Sampler and the new JCS Halloween Booklet.  What is everyone else stitching on?

Have to run, the kiddos are fighting over something and I need to go make peace.

Happy Dance

Hi!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday.  It is really good here.  Overcast and in the 60s and had a wonderful morning volunteering at school.  Wednesday is off to a great start.

I would like to welcome my new followers.  I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures and I do really love your comments.

I do have a Happy Dance to share.  Halloween Greetings from Plum Street Sampler is done.  I really did enough stitching it up.  It is stitched on 36ct. vintage sand dune edinburgh from Lakeside Linens and I used Crescent Colours and DMC floss.  This piece will be off to the finishers in a couple weeks, along with the next piece I am going to share.

Since Halloween Greeting was done, I decided to start another new piece.  This one has been calling to me and then I saw Faye's finish(Faye at Carolina Stitcher) finish.  Her finish is gorgeous and so it started calling my name and I put the first stitches in last night.  This is Autumn on Marigold Lane from Pineberry lane.  I am stitching one over 2 on 35ct. 18th Century Stone from R&R.  I am using the recommended GAST.  This one will also be off to the finisher when I am done stitching.  I am really enjoying every stitch.

I am off to have lunch and then hopefully get in an hour or two of stitching on Marigold Lane.

ISHW

Hi All!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  It was very nice here, except for the cool weather.  Where is the warm weather?  I am ready for warmth.

This was ISHW, but I didn't get as much stitching done as I would of liked.  I was to busy organizing my craft area and cleaning out our storage are in our basement.  Hopefully next ISHW I will get more stitching time.

Here is where I was before the start of ISHW.  Plum Street Samplers Halloween Greetings from the JCS 2010 Annual Halloween Magazine.  I am stitching it on 36ct. vintage sand dune edinburgh linen from Lakeside Linens.  I am using Crescent Colours and DMC floss.
Here is where I am after ISHW.  As you can see I finished up the second sheep, added the wording, finished the fencing at the bottom and started on the third sheep.  It is hard to tell, but the third sheep is stitched with Crescent Colours Garden Trellis.  I am really loving this piece.  I had hoped to finish it up this weekend, but it was not to be, here is hoping I can finish it up tonight or tomorrow at the latest.
Hope everyone got lots of stitching done this last weekend and will have a very productive week.  I have lots to do and not enough time to do it.  I need a fairy godmother to come and help me!  I better get off this computer and go get some stuff done.

Until Next Time

Another New Start

Hello all!  I hope everyone is doing well.  All of us are doing great.  Spring is in the air and the kids are counting down to the end of school.  It is hard to believe school will be out in just over 7 weeks.

We are busy getting ready for Talia's birthday.  She will be 6 two weeks from tomorrow.  Where has the time gone?  It seems just like yesterday I was coming home with a new baby.  She is excited as we are having a party with her school friends.  Everyday she asks if any of her friends parents have called to say they are coming.  It is so cute to watch her excitement when I tell her another friend is coming.

Sorry about the rambling, but just wanted to share the excitement going on here.

As you can tell from the title, I am having a case of Startitis.  I am loving Prim Sisters School of Needlwork, but a Halloween piece was calling me, so I decided to start Halloween Greetings from Plum Street Samplers.  I am stitching it on 36ct. Vintage Sand Dune Edinburgh from Lakeside Linens and using the recommended Crescent Colours floss.  I started last night and made great progress.  It is stitching up faster than I thought, so I am hoping to have it stitched up by the weekend.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments.  I greatly appreciate them and it keeps me blogging.
