WEDDING CRISS CROSS

Hi all

I am sharing a photo of a criss cross type card I made for a friend's daughter's Wedding back in April 2013.  I was so pleased with how this card turned out.

The image is of course created by Sylvia Zet but in the form of a Hobby House Topper.  The flowers, ribbon and rosette ribbon are all from Live and Love Crafts.

PION CAKES - BOOKMARK CARD

Morning all

Today I have another photo of a card to share which I made way back in March 2013 using the gorgeous Pion cakes images and Pion papers.  These, together with the flowers were from  Live and Love Crafts

I opted to make a shaped card this time and made the inside pocket a criss criss style panel in which is a bookmark which I made and slotted inside.  This has been like a trip down Memory Lane for me, coming across cards I made so far back.  I think tomorrow will bring us more up to date.

CRISS CROSS

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card which I made quite some time ago using another image coloured by a friend of mine.  To be honest I am not sure what the image is but I just love how my friend has coloured it up.

The papers and embellishments were from stash.

Thank you so much for looking.

Have a lovely day,

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card which I made quite some time ago for a friend's Retirement.  I keep being reminded of things I made and had forgotten about, and also of stamps and papers I had forgotten about.
This lovely image is a Penny Black stamp. I really must look this out and use it again soon.

I am fairly sure the papers were from a Melissa Frances pack.

The flowers were from Live and LoveCrafts.

Thank you so much for looking.

CRISS CROSS

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card which I made quite some time ago.  When my very clever friend coloured me this gorgeous Magnolia Tilda image (doesn't she colour so well!) I knew right away what I wanted to do with it.  I wish I could remember which papers I used.  I do know that most of the embellishments came from stash I purchased locally.

I had forgotten how lovely this Tilda image is you know.

Thank you so much for looking.

Have a lovely day,

ELISABETH BELL - Criss Cross

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card, but one I made quite some time ago.

As I said yesterday, when I say criss cross card, I do mine slightly different.  It is a cheat method really, the traditional method uses two card blanks, whereas mine are really just a criss cross front to the card and less pricey to make.

The image has been coloured and hand doodled by a very good friend of mine.  I am almost certain it is an image created by Elisabeth Bell and I have a feeling it was created for Sugar Nellie originally but may be wrong there.  The papers were from my stash and the embellishments purchased locally.

I had clean forgotten I had made this card!

Thank you so much for looking.

Have a lovely day,

KRAFTYHANDS - Criss cross style

Morning all,

I thought I would share some of the criss cross style card photos I have made and saved.  Most of these are ones I made quite some time ago, apart from this card which is a more recent one.

When I say criss cross card, I do mine slightly different.  It is a cheat method really, the traditional method uses two card blanks, whereas mine are really just a criss cross front to the card and less pricey to make.

This card is a slightly diffrerent shape too.  It is not the normal square.  I started off with a sheet of A4 card, cut a rectangle card with fold at the left side.  I then trimmed around two inches from the right hand side of the front of the card and went from there.

The papers are from the lovely 'Femme fatale' 6 inch papers from Kraftyhands
and the lovely Floral Postcard Topper is from the 'Garden Floral Collection' also from Kraftyhands

I must confess I love working with these lovely papers.

Thank you so much for looking.

Have a lovely day,

VINTAGE STITCHING

Hi everyone,

Firstly a really warm welcome to my new followers.  And a huge thank you to you all for your lovely comments.

Tonight I have a card to share which I made a little while ago and would like to enter into the Challenge at Bunny ZoeThis Challenge is entitled 'Stitching'.  Well you know how I like making Vintage cards, I love the criss cross style and I usually stitch my cards anyway so this seems to fit the bill.

When making criss cross cards I must say I do cheat.  Instead of using two card blanks I simply make the front into a criss cross and the card opens at normal.  It is definitely time I made some more criss cross cards.  I love the style.

The image is from Magic Moonlight, and the papers are Memory Box ones I think.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Brrrr it is so cold here again today but I am not complaining because at lease we have not had any show as yet.

I would like to enter this into the Challenge at Bunny Zoe (Stitching)
