SARAH KAY - Time for Tea

Hi everyone,

This time I have a card made using one of my favourite Sarah Kay images.  I just love Sarah Kay images!  I coloured up this one some time ago and dug it out to make a nice simple card.  Hey I think I pulled it off without adding lots of this and that this time too.  I love thel ayering and embellishing, but this time I just wanted something simple but effective.  This is about as simple as I get! Haha

The lace is from Ribbon Girl.  This was a lovely gift from a friend and I found another scrap in my stash.

The embellishments and cheesecloth came from  Live and Love Crafts and I delved into my stash for anything else.

Thanks for looking,

SARAH KAY MULTI-FOLD CARD

Morning all,

Here we have an easel card which I made using this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp which I coloured with Copics.  This is teamed with Cheery Lynn dies.  I am not sure what this shape is called to be honest, it sort of formed its shape itself along the way, but it is probably a type of Multi-fold card maybe?  You will see I had fun making the flowers from Cheery Lynn dies too.

SARAH KAY EASEL CARD

Morning all,

Here we have an easel card which I made using a Sarah Kay Topper.  To be honest these I do not like anywhere near as much as the stamped images.  But once I had added the Frantage etc I was quite happy with it.

ROSES AT CHEERY LYNN

Hi all,

I really do apologise for my absence, I have been, and still am really busy at the moment but I will be back in full force again soon.

I have a card to share with you tonight which I made a little while ago and would like to enter into the lovely challenge at Cheery Lynn.

I loved making this card using a mixture of Cheery Lynn dies and this fabulous Sarah Kay image which has been coloured by a friend of mine.  You will see there is a pocket in both central sections where a tag has been slotted inside.  The flowers are from Wild orchid Crafts, I have machine stitched the edges and the papers are Tilda ones.

I would like to enter this into the following:

CHRISTMAS CARD AND CO-ORDINATING CARD GIFT BAG

I am back again with my second posting today.

Well, you know what I am like, I got a bit carried away with the Sketch for the challenge at The Shabby Tearoom

Well, I enjoyed making the card gift bag so much that I found myself making another one but this time a Christmas one.

Again it is going to be photo heavy.  It is easier than trying to describe what I did.

This time I used a lovely Sarah Kay image which has been coloured by a friend of mine.  The papers are Crea Diem and Maja from Live and Love Crafts.

The Lace tree which is on the inside of the card, and also on the front of the bag is made of strips of pre-gathered lace.  I got this idea from Amelia
I am in awe of Amelia's work, and when I emailed and asked if I could take inspiration from her tree and have a go myself I got a lovely reply.  Do pop over and take a look at Amelia's Blog, it is full of lovely creations.

Again the Sketch has been followed to the inside of the card but this time I have moved the image to the centre of the bag as it just was not going right at all.  So, this I would also like to enter into the Challenge at The Shabby Tearoom

Again, thank you for looking, and a happy weekend to you all too.

CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND CHALLENGE - GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone

Today sees the start to a new Challenge at CCAYR, which is entitled 'Getting Ready for Christmas'  You will see I have been playing around with my Cheery Lynn die-cuts again, and I just love this Sarah Kay image which has been coloured by a friend of mine.  Yes even the flowers and leaves are Cheery Lynn die-cuts.  The front and side borders are from a lovely Cheery Lynn frame die.  Don't they give that lovely lacy effect instead of using real lace?

AUTUMN HARVEST - SHABBY CHIC TOP FOLD SURPRISE MULTI POCKET CARD

Hi everyone,

This time I am sharing a card which I hope fits the theme of 'Autumn' linked to the Papermill Design Team Call which I would like to apply.

What does Autumn mean to me?  Well Autumn leaves of course, but then I thought everyone would do that but the very fond memories I have of Autumn as a child are helping my Mum do the Flowers at the local Village Church for the Harvest Festival.  As  a little girl, we always used to have to attend the Harvest Festival Service and then all the produce and flowers were auctioned off in our local Village HallAs children we always loved this as they geared it around the children as well.  I could go on about this but will save you from that! Haha

I have made this card for a friend's birthday.  She is a really keen Gardener and I know will just love it. I opted to make a top fold card in the shape of a chest of drawers (for the Potting Shed) (you may remember me doing one for a male a little while ago).  This time I have  included a surprise pocket at the reverse of the card where I have included second pocket which holds a Vintage Postcard in front of the pocket.   I am popping some Sweet Pea seeds into the pocket. (Sell by date is way ahead - 2015! for these seeds)  I know she loves Sweet Peas.

You know how I love Sarah Kay stamps, well when I saw these Sarah Kay toppers on EBay I just had to have them.  I think I actually do prefer the stamps, but having added Frantage I think this just fits the theme so well.  I wonder what you think?

The edges of the die-cuts are inked with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink, and embossed with Frantage.

Materials used:

Cheery Lynn dies (including the flower)
DCWV papers
Frantage (Shabby White)
Tim Holtz Antique Linen
Pearls, lace and anything else from stash

I would like to enter this card into the DT Call at Papermill

If you are stil awake thanks for stopping by and looking, and also a huge thank you too for all the lovely comments I am receiving these days.  These really do make my day!

GDT AT CHEERY LYNN - DOUBLE ZIG ZAG CARD

Hi and Good Morning everyone,

I am here today sharing another card as Guest Designer for Cheery Lynn for the month of August.

I opted to make a Double Zigzag Card card following a lovely Tutorial which can be found
HERE    I love this shape and will definitely use it again.  Doesn't it show the gorgeous die-cuts and Pion papers off lovely!  The Sarah Kay image is centralised and framed on the inside using the Felicity Doily Die.  The card is edged with the fabulous Dancing Doiley Borders  and I am in love with these gorgeous 'Darling Daisies'  I opted to give the band a ribbon closure as the card is so bulky and embellished the front using the Daisy Strip to form the flower and Tropical leaves.  You can tell I had such fun making this.

The first photo shows the card fully closed:

The second photo shows the card open:

The third photo shows the card semi open/closed:
And finally a close up of the side panel:
