Made to move body skin tone match (2) - nostalgic

My obsessive trait sent me on a mission to find as many matches for the M2M bodies I can. I'm about 2/3 through with the nostalgic skin tone. Three more bodies waiting. Yay!
As you can see, it resulted in a new tab above. Help or comments appreciated. :)

Moja obsesyjna osobowość wysłała mnie na poszukiwanie jak największej liczby łebków pasujących do ciałek M2M. Uporałam się z ok. 2/3 w odcieniu nostalgic. Trzy kolejne ciałka czekają na dopasowanie. Jej!
Jak widzicie, skutkowało to powstaniem nowej zakładki u góry. Wsparcie i komentarze mile widziane. :)

What got caught in the net

Remember her..?
... and how she looked like the last time?
Well, I finished her latest temporary looks on the day I left home in June. And I've just remembered, I hadn't posted this!

She's a fairy again! :)
Still not perfect, but there's progress... of some kind.

Fairytopia reincarnation

At first, I fell in love with the Enchantress of Fairytopia, the only collectible doll in the line. She's been something exceptional to me, and one day I will write a post exclusively about her. But today it's about the play line girls whom I found strangely irresistible.

Left to right: Azura, Enchantress, Dandelion.
Azura came first and though I do like her, I haven't found my style for her. That's the problem I've had with the rest of the girls too - their looks were so complete, there wasn't much room for interpretation. They are undoubtedly pretty, but the only way I found to enjoy them was to put them on the shelf and look at them every morning.
I thought Azura would be my favourite of the fairies, but now she is the one to get the least attention. I really don't know why. Maybe that's because she looks so good in her crazy blue hair loops and all-blue dress that I'm too scared to change anything.

One of the very few photos of Azura.

Then came Miss Sunshine - Dandelion. This girl is all about energy and happiness. And again, I thought I'd love this doll, because she is so bright, has red ponytails and this smart smirk. But I couldn't change anything and the doll quickly joined Azura on the shelf.

I was so disappointed  with my lack of interest in the Fairytopia Fairies, that it took me lots of time before I deciced to buy Dahlia. And I wouldn't have bought her if she wasn't on sales and I thought that I might complete the collection with her. Her fate was to join the rest on the shelf, I didn't even take an arrival picture.
But there came one rainy, late summer day and Dahlia spread her subtle magic. I took her to the lake side and fell in love with her with this one photo session.

After nearly 3 years from that session I finally felt ready to free my fairies from the dull role of winged dustcatchers. Dahlia and Dandelion got Fashionistas bodies, I let down their hair and gave them something to dress. Poor Azura is waiting for vinyl match. Since then, they've accompanied me for most of the time as sewing models. That's why their hair got slight curl from the protective braid.

Her hair is still shiny, it just doesn't look so in the photos.

Now, I can't wait for the right moment to take my fairies for an outdoor session.

Fiery fairy - Sunburst

Remember that girl?

Fairytopia Sunburst freshly RFB. :)
At last I found some time to document her current state - unpainted 2007 Barbie body, most of the glitter removed from her face and new hairdo. Her orange hair highlights became more visible. She is shorter than a standard Barbie doll.
I did like her original looks, but because of the fixed wings and costume, I didn't play with her.
I absolutely love her sculpt - truly elvish, with pointy ears, perky nose and full lips. She has features resembling people with Williams syndrome - a condition which is believed to be an inspiration of legends about elves.

This is not my last word on her looks but I love her straight hair and she's going to stay that way for a while.

Dusting

My doll shelf nedeed dusting for quite a while and I decided today is the day. I started from the top shelf, where my fairies and ballerinas are. I picked up Isla and Hadley, the twin Dancing Princesses on their twirling-wagon-dollstand.

Their stand is really annoying, very massive, taking up a lot of space. Well, it isn't any more, though it resisted... My hubby helped me to dismantle it and we made two smaller, sensible stands. While hot glue was setting, I washed Islas hair and took down her original hairdo to give her new curls and an updo. It didn't turn out perfect, guess I was too impatient and her original cut is very uneven, but she looks better anyway.

Then I took Fairytopia Sunburst, a doll with fabulous, original mould, cool hair and tragic body with painted on clothes and moulded rubber wings.

I wanted to give her MS Westley's body, but when I removed  most of the gold glitter from her face, it turned out that her best color match is... Barbie. I had a loose "hobbit" 2007 body, so I gave it to her. I really liked her original hairdo, but it was quite messy from the start, so I pulled it down too.

Looking for a body for Sunburst I came across my Splashy Chic Westley.

It's been a love-hate relationship since I got her. I wanted to have her, but from the beginning I knew, I'd change her. She's just too much good in one - red lips, blue eyes, golden-yellow eyeshadow, blonde highlights. And when I got her... I lost my concept.
Some time ago I tried to do something about her hair and it was a failure. So today I straightened her hair again and removed lip paint. And then I found out that I run out of paint. Great.

The girls are drying, looking for clothes and waiting for further makeover, so no new photos today.
As you probably noticed, I ended up with more mess than I started with. But I had lots of fun! And I have three more shelves to go. -_-'''
