Necron Teleportation Bridge Platform

Here is my latest Necron Terrain project. The idea is to have custom missions where each player has a teleportation pad in their deployment zones, where they can teleport one unit each turn to the top of the bridge, from there on I will make up a few scenarios about the victory conditions of the game. That's the Terrain Corner all finished, really happy how the water effect came out, especially as it was my first time using resin. I will post more on the process of how I did the effects in a future post, but for now here is my completed corner terrain...

Necron Promethium Pool #3 (Terrain Square 'Corner' Competition 2017)

Back to the Terrain Corner I am doing for my Terrain making competition, sponsored by Inside Out Terrain and WarGames...

Right, so my first task was to make the Promethium Relay Pipes look like Necron pipes. I put a lot of work into that, shaving off all the rivets and spikes and adding loads of Necron bitz to them. I also extended some of the pipes with some old till rolls, using cardboard to detail them up a little...

Then it was back the the terrain itself, after loads of filler and PVA glue to make it waterproof for the water effects at the end, I then added sand to the piece. I also used some mounting board (thick cardboard) to cover up the corners edges, which I think finishes it of nicely. Next is to get it painted and add the water effects!

Necron Promethium Pool #2 (Terrain Square 'Corner' Competition 2017)

Back to the Terrain Corner I am doing for my Terrain making competition, sponsored by Inside Out Terrain and WarGames. I have put a link to both of them at the bottom of the post, so please make sure you head on over and check them out.

OK, so first, I build the Promethium Pipes and worked out where I wanted them to go onto the piece of terrain. I felt like I wanted to make the pipe sections bigger so I found a few tubes (till rolls) and added them to the pieces. Once I worked out where they were going, I took them off and started cutting out the pool for the water effects...

The next job will be to makes the pipes look like they are Necron pipes and not Imperial. I started this by removing the spikes at the top and by adding some Necron pieces to hide the aquilas. I am thinking the rivets aren't very Necronish, so I plan on removing them so that it has a more of a Living Metal feel to them. Lots more to do but getting there. More to come soon...

Necron Promethium Pool #1 (Terrain Square 'Corner' Competition 2017)

With just a few weeks left of the Terrain Square 'Corner' Competition left, I thought it was time I started posting about the piece of terrain I am building to run along side everyone else's entries. We have two great prizes available for the top pieces from our Sponsors Inside Out Terrain and WarGames and I have put a link to both of them at the bottom of the post, so please make sure you head on over and check them out.

As for my corner, I plan on making a large Necron piece of terrain to go in the corner of the board. I really want to have a go at some water effects, although mine will be green of course! I managed to pick up some Promethium Relay Pipes from WarGames when I went there in January, so I thought that would be a nice addition to the piece to give it more detail

Now I have the basic shape of the piece. Next will be to cut out the Promethium pool and get the pipes built and into the position I want them to go. More to come soon...
