DTBST DT - Monochromatic

Morning SSD Fans!
A new challenge over at DTBST today - Link is HERE
Challenge this week is "monochromatic!"

I was struggling a little with this but I had to make a Frozen themed card for an order so decided to use this for the challenge :)

I coloured her up first with promarkers, added the swirl embossed card to some light blue backing and then added all my elements. All I had for the order was "princess/frozen, glitter and bling" think I pulled it off!
The greeting is printed on to vellum and pushed up away from the card. The snowflakes are die cuts :)

Hope you enjoy the challenge!
I'm off to colour her up in red. See what she looks like ;)

But first I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

1. Penny's Paper Crafty challenges - Celebrations
2.  I love Promarkers - Anything Goes
3. Cute Card Thursday - Ladies Only

FBF - Elsa

Hello SSD fans!

A quick post from me today with one of the super sassy Frozen girls, I've made a card using Elsa but there is Anna too. Head on over to the facebook group where you can get both images for free for 24hrs after Samantha has posted them - Link to Facebook group is HERE

Of course I just HAD to glitter up the dress! I used frosty backing papers along with snowflake vellum and glitter card all mat and layered onto silver mirror board. The twine I have used even sparkles too! The snowflake is a button which is just threaded through :)

There we have it!
Our last FBF for this year, we will be back on Jan 1st 2016!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

DTBST DT - Colour Me Scared

Good Morning!

We have a brand new challenge over at Dare To Be Sassy Thursday this week - Link is HERE
Our new challenge is "Colour Me Scared"
So colour your image black with either orange, purple or green.
I've used Sally Honey - Link is HERE
And I've coloured her in black and orange - something completely different to her usual look of blueish skin and red hair! EEEKKK!!!

I'm actually really pleased with the way this card turned out, especially only using 2/3 colours. I had to colour her up again tho after in correct colours. She may make an appearance next week along with Jack, who know's ;)
She's been coloured completely with Promarkers.
The silver spider web card I've had for ages and never used it! Least it's come in handy :)

Colours used are
Black
Orange - Red, Orange & Mandarin
Grey - Cool Grey 4, Cool Grey 3 & Cool Grey 2
I hope you'll have fun with the colour combo this week!

I'd also like to enter this in to the following challenges:

DTBS DT - Tic Tac Toe

Morning!

A new challenge over at Dare To Be Sassy today which is Tic Tac Toe - Link is HERE

So, we would like you to use any 3 in a row off the board - Board is below.
I went for the top line of Flower, Spider/spider Web, Spooky Fence.

Here's what I've come up with,

Using Wicked Honey - Image is HERE
I've layered her on to silver spider web card, die cut a fence out and added flowers where I've twisted the stems up. Wicked Honey has been coloured using Promarkers on Linen effect card. I love the effect you get. Sentiment was off line but I think it's prefect for a little witch :)
The black spider web in the corner is also die cut.

Hope to all those "wicked" creations on the blog ;)

MTTC DT - Autumn Colours

Good Morning!

Wow, some great work by the DT for last challenge and awesome work by you guys too!
Now it's onto another challenge for 2 weeks over at MTTC - Link is HERE
This challenge is "Autumn Colours"

Now, I do admit that I was struggling for colours with this, so I went onto Pinterest and found this super stunning colour combo. I tried to stick as close to it as possible...

beautiful birds!!...love these colors. MIght use these colors to decorate my apartment:

So, I used a Saturated Canary image which I haven't used in aggggeeesssss!
Here's what I've got:

The image is called Ellie's Birthday.
I have coloured her in with promarkers and a Tombow pen to add some definition to her hair. The arrows are paperclips from IKEA. I adore them and perfect for this card to match her jumper. For something different too, I printed the sentiment in vellum and layered it over the image and attached the bow & button. Of course, with some twine involved ;)

I must admit, I'm very happy with the end result. Turned out much better than expected!
Hope to see you stop by the blog with all those autumnal coloured creations :)

CF DT - Anything Goes

Good Morning!

I'm back on the right team this week for the "Anything Goes" challenge over at Creative Fingers

This week I've gone with a card that's got no image on it. It was for my Brother and Sister-in-Law's 1st Wedding Anniversary :)

Pretty much every piece of card has been embossed that includes the vellum on the hearts too which have been punched out. The colour scheme for the wedding was white, navy blue and silver so I used the navy and silver against the white.  I can say as well, they loved it! And it's now in frame.

Hope you come join in the challenge! :)

MTTC DT - Sympathy

Good Morning!

A brand new challenge over at MTTC this week which is "Sympathy".
I never really make any sympathy cards so this was a challenge for me. I decided before I started that I wanted to make the card quite CAS.

The card is from Ikea and is 10x15cm in size. The grey dots are on the card already. I printed the "with sympathy" off the pc on to vellum and stuck it to the fancy oval frame. The flowers and pearls were added afterwards as the card was too plain.

Please come by the blog..even if you don't play along :)

Do You Want To Build A Snowman??....

Well not quite!
The sun has finally arrived.. YAY!

Anyways, you've probably guessed from the title that I've got another frozen card to show you today.
This ones a lilly different to the others I've done as it's flippin' HUGE! and because it's Elsa & Anna

Both images are from Sassy Studio Designs. The post for them can be found HERE. They've been coloured using both promarkers and spectrum noir pens. Elsa's dress has been glittered up too. The background of the card is vellum embossed with dots. Such a super cool effect. The other background with the swirly pattern is vellum too with the glitter swirly pattern. The card itself is A4. I had a hard time colouring Anna tho. Sooooo much detail! I think I'd have struggled even more if the image was smaller lol. Added the ribbon and bow to finish off. The sentiment is printed off the pc and waltograph font was used.

I'm entering this in to the following challenges:

1. Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - Use a boy/girl/both

2. Addicted to Stamps & More - Make Your Mark

3. Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes

4. C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Inspired By A Film

Thanks for popping by and taking a peek!

Elsa...

I love love love this image I've used on the card I'm about to show you tonight.
It's the second card I've used it on this week! EEEEK!

She is from Sassy Studio Designs, the post for her can be found HERE. For this card, I wanted to keep it very white so the image is standing out instantly. I've coloured her using Spectrum Noir pens but used promarkers on the hair. I've glittered up her bodice and skirt in the same glitter and then used a finer glitter to glitter up her train. The backing paper is actually vellum with a glittered up swirl pattern on it which I've layered up on white card. The #4 is die cut while the sentiment has been printed on to vellum. I've added a snowflake button to the ribbon bow. Funny how christmas ribbon can work on a card lol.

A few more pictures :)

I'm entering this card into the follwoing challenges:

1. Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - Ribbon and Bow

2. The Ribbon Girl - Birthday Themed Any Image

Thanks for pooping by and taking a peek!

Let it gooooo.....

I do love Frozen.. and colouring this image to make Ebony's 4th Birthday card :)

The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and can be found HERE. She's been coloured using spectrum noirs but the hair was coloured with promarkers. I struggled with the hair to be honest because so it's so light! But I think I've pulled it off. the bodice of the dress I've glittered up and the overlay train is actually glittered vellum. I used vellum so it would give the transparent look. The sentiment is printed on to vellum too and the font is a disney font from dafont. The #4 is die cut.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

1. That Craft Place - Anything Goes/Mother's Day

2. Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - For A Child

3. Sassy Studio Designs - To Die For

Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!

St.Patrick's Day

I'm on a roll today!

This post now is to show two cards I've made for St.Patrick's Day. I've used two images from Aurora Wings, Clover Pixie and Leprechaun.

The cards are for a brother and sister from their Nan. I think I would have struggled if it had been for two girls! Both images have been coloured using spectrum noir pens. I've used the same green on the clovers as on the leprechaun's clothes. I struggled to colour the leprechaun a bit as I'd never coloured one before but I'm happy with the outcome. The cards themselves are 6x6". I also wanted to keep them quite simple. The sentiments have been printed off the pc with clover pixie having hers printed on vellum.

Here's a few more pics... and the song title I'm using is...

"Get Lucky" by Daft Punk featuring Pharell Williams

I'm entering these two cards into the following challenges:

1. Creative Card Crew - Green

2. Crafty Catz - Song title to match your image

Thanx for stopping by and taking a peek!

ATC

Hello :)

First time I'm making an ATC for ages, but thought I'd give these another go. they make perfect toppers :)

I'm entering into the challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC.
The challenge is to pick 3 of the following:

Wings/Pearls or Gems/Lots of Pink Goth or Emo/Paper Piecing/Add a Die Cut Flowers/Add Some Paint/Use Mists or Sprays/Washi Tape

I've used Washi tape/goth or emo/lots of pink

The image is from The Greeting Farm, Cordelia and can be found HERE. Now, considering I'm a girl it's safe to say I'm not very girlie at all and I don't like pink. but I use a lot of pink on my cards which is strange! LOL. And no, I wouldn't like pink hair even tho I've coloured her with having pink hair. She's been coloured using spectrum noir pens. The washi tape is from ikea. Love that place and the curly border has been drawn on by me :) I did make her into a card as well...

Thanks for popping by and taking a peek

Green with Snowflakes

Afternoon peeps!

Whilst my internet is deciding to play along, I thought I'd write this post up.

I don't know about you, but when I started doing this card I thought "Why did I offer to do this?!" I had a complete mind blank, specially with it being for a mate's mom which is off him!! Eeeeek! After much deliberation, I finally have something that I'm happy with....

Full Card
Originally, I wanted to do the card white with white glitter but you might know that the glittered snowflake vellum wouldn't show up! Grrr... I thought about the other usual christmas colours but I wasn't happy with any of them. Then I came across this green mirror card. Sorted. Finally I could use the vellum that's benn sat in my drawer for over a year! I've stitched the vellum to the green as to not have any glue marks. The ribbon is also stitched to the card with the bow being attatched by a brad. Got to add a little bit of bling. The snowflakes and flowers are die cuts with the leaves being punched out of the green card, white card and vellum. A couple of hat pins and some gems and finished.

Here's a few more pics...

Flowers & Leaves

Snowflakes
I think really that the snowflake should have been bang in the corner but beggars can't be choosers!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

1. Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
2. Oldie but a Goodie - Ribbon and/or Lace
3. Creative Craft - Non-traditional Christmas Colours

Thanks for popping by!

Sketch Saturday #216

Took a while for me to get my head round the sketch if I'm honest.

The amount of papers I had out was unreal! Think my inspiration had deserted me until I had a light bulb moment. I was conscious of covering up too much of the checked paper then thought, I know.... Vellum! but do you think I could find it?! Well, after half an hour I finally found it!

So here is the card;

The image is "Luscious Linda" by Kenny K. I do love these images.

Hearts are punched out and gems have been added because I thought it looked too plain. I also came across my heart corner peel offs when I was tidying up!

Here's a close up of the hearts & gems;

Black & White Christmas

Been a while again since I last joined in a challenge (Again!) But as I was making Christmas Cards I thought I may as well join in with the Cupcake Craft Challenge. And a good challenge it is as well!

Had just been upto the craft shop and picked up some stunning vellum with a flourish and holly on it in white glitter. I brought 2 sheets, at £1 a sheet tho! :-/ Instantly, had the light bulb go off in my head for an idea.

Black & White Christmas
Only thing I struggled with........ how the hell to you stick vellum to a black background??!! (any tips would be much appreciated!) I have vellum glue but it shows up still... hence the gems! Stuck the gems on, then put little bits of glue under the gems to stick it down.

The sentiment is a Penny Black Stamp, which has been heat embossed as well. Unfortunately though, I couldn't find my white glitter embossing powder. Used silver glitter instead.

I do love a simple, elegant card tho!

Thanks for popping by to take a look.

Something New

Good Morning..  Hope you all had a great christmas & fab new year too.  We are finally back with a new challenge over at My Time ...
