Retro Selfie

 Good Morning!

Another Saturday and time for another challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE
This fortnight's challenge is

Sequins and/or Buttons

Here’s what I’ve come up with :)

I have used an image by Kenny K called Retro Selfie - Link is HERE
I've coloured the image using Spectrum Noir Pens.
I decided to use sequins on this project beens I use buttons a LOT! I also decided to do a shaker card which I haven't made in ages. It was really fun!
The shaker surround, I cut out to look like a poloroid photo. Pretty cool eh?!
I’ve added extra detail to the card as well by adding a die cut "hello" and a navy bow.

Here's a few more pics....

Remember to follow the rules and enjoy the challenge.
We look forward to seeing your creations.

jo 😎

I am entering this card in to the following challenges:

- Bow, Blue, Body, Bun

Crafting When We Can - Birthday

Good Morning!

Super quick post today.
We have a brand new challenge over at Crafting When We Can today - Link is HERE
The challenge  for this fortnight is

"Birthday"

I got to use this amazing image which is called Willow - Link is HERE
I did start off with the image being greys, then added a red. I think the red pops.
I also wanted a CAS layout to show off the image.

I think the red hair really shouts at you. I've used black glitter card for the background too.
And look, not a button or piece of twine in sight! ;)

Thanks for popping by!
Enjoy the challenge :)

SSD Sponsorship - Anything Goes

Good Morning!

I've a couple of cards to show you today for the Sassy Studio Sponsorship.

First up is an image I coloured ages ago! I loved her as soon as I seen her.
And I thought the sentiment was perfect :)
This is for sponsor of blog A Beautiful Mess - Link is HERE

The papers are a digital download from Etsy, the sentiment is printed from the pc and Catwomen has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. She has also been completely cut out. Had to get a bit of glitter and ribbon in there ;)

Next up is a super fun card for Crafting with Friends - Link is HERE
I used Mad Hatter Buttercream Babe, again, I'd had her coloured up for ages.
I went with a little bit of an outside the lines idea with this.
I like it tho! LOL

She's been coloured up using promarkers in mad hatter ish colours.
The papers matched perfectly I think, then I am biased as I love this card!
The little wooden wording sets the whole lot off I think :) :)

Thanks for popping by, we hope you'll enjoy the challenges and inspiration from the DT

I went quite CAS with this card as I wanted her to stand out. The silver strips down the side is actually glitter sellotape form IKEA. A great use for it I thought :)
The image has been coloured using promarkers.

Super quick post from me.
Pop on by the blog too :)

MTTC - Love is all around

Morning!

A brand new challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE
This time we have the challenge of "Love is all around"
There are so many ways to interpret this theme.
I went with a wedding card.

I made this as an order for a couple who are massive Walsall FC football fans. Their colours are Red with White hence the red glitter dress. The dress itself is actually a mulberry topper, I just added loads of glitter! The frame behind is die-cut along with the panel behind being embossed.
I really enjoyed making this card. Here's a few more pics :)

Look forward to seeing your creations!

DTBST DT - Monochromatic

Morning SSD Fans!
A new challenge over at DTBST today - Link is HERE
Challenge this week is "monochromatic!"

I was struggling a little with this but I had to make a Frozen themed card for an order so decided to use this for the challenge :)

I coloured her up first with promarkers, added the swirl embossed card to some light blue backing and then added all my elements. All I had for the order was "princess/frozen, glitter and bling" think I pulled it off!
The greeting is printed on to vellum and pushed up away from the card. The snowflakes are die cuts :)

Hope you enjoy the challenge!
I'm off to colour her up in red. See what she looks like ;)

But first I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

1. Penny's Paper Crafty challenges - Celebrations
2.  I love Promarkers - Anything Goes
3. Cute Card Thursday - Ladies Only

DTBST DT - Vintage or Shabby Chic

Morning SSD Fans!

A new challenge over at DTBST today - Link is HERE
This week we want to see your "vintage or shabby chic" creations.

I went with the vintage look with kraft card and soft yellow with white glitter.
I was actually going to colour the image completely in brown tones to make it look sepia, but changed my mind.
Image used is called Jessica Rabbit Sassy - Link is HERE

Here's a few more pictures:

Have fun with the challenge!

DTBST - Anything Goes

Hello Sassy Fans!

A brand new challenge over at Dare To Be Sassy today - Link is HERE
Our Challenge for this week is

"Anything Goes"

I've gone with a glittered up Frozen Queen.
It's actually for a picture frame, but I've ran out of frames :-/
As soon as I get a frame, I'll post a completed pic :)

I am going to add the little girl's name in between the snowflakes to make it look as the the Frozen Queen is throwing out her name in the snowflakes.
As you can see, her bodice and dress have been glittered up using white glitter. Underneath I coloured her using promarkers and spectrum noir pens.
The snowflakes are punches that I've used on silver, white and blue card. Added some washi tape to the edges, along with a button, snowflake and twine.

Look forward to seeing all your creations,

Of course I just HAD to glitter up the dress! I used frosty backing papers along with snowflake vellum and glitter card all mat and layered onto silver mirror board. The twine I have used even sparkles too! The snowflake is a button which is just threaded through :)

MTTC DT - Owls

Good Morning!

Today we have a brand new challenge over at My Time To Craft - Link is HERE
This fortnights challenge is

"Owls"

Perfect as I had a thank you card to make with owls on it!

The image I've had for ages and it's a Whiff Of Joy image which is perfect for a thank you card. An act of Kindness, although I'd probably be the one at the bottom of the tree on my bum! hahaha
The image itself has been coloured using Promarkers. I wanted to add a slight background too so did the dots lol

Do pop by the blog to show us your owl creations :)

Creative Fingers DT - Rick St Dennis

Good Morning!

Another anything goes challenge over at Creative Fingers - Link is HERE
This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Rick St Dennis - Link to Etsy Store HERE
I got to play with the delightful image called "Ziegfeld Girl"
She reminded my of art deco so this is what I went with. I also decided on patterned paper and not many layers. Keep it simple.

The swirls on her dress are coloured with a glitter pen to make them stand out a little more. The papers are art deco papers from a Docrafts pack. I managed to make the colours up perfectly too! :)

When my pc decides to do what it's meant too, I'll post a close up pic of the glittered swirls.
Hope to see you all pop by the blog. What's easier than an "anything goes" challenge right?!

SSD Progressive Challenge

Hello!

I'm here with a little late with my creation for the Sassy Studio Designs Progressive Challenge that is run on our Facebook group - Link to group is HERE

The image is a super fun one! I decided to go for the Pink Lady look :)

I decided to use super bright pink spotty paper to set off the pastel tone of the image. I gave glittered the shoes and suit up too. She's been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens and I also coloured in the "Relax" with the same pens too.

I am also going to enter this into the challenge over at Sweet Stampin' - Fill your boots!

Thanx for popping by and hope to see you over in the Facebook group

OutLawz DT - Use 2 frames

Good Morning!
I hope the sun is shining where you are

This week we have a brand new challenge over at Monday Greetings - Link is HERE
The challenge is

"Use TWO frames on your card"

Now I struggled with this but came up with something. I was also luckily enough to be able to use one of our two sponsors images as well. So, here's what I created...

This little darling is called Lady Bug, hence the greeting - Link for image HERE
And she is from the adorable My Stitch Back In Twine - Link to shop HERE
She's been coloured in Spectrum Noir pens and cut out. The "stripes" along the bottom of the card are washi tape. What a great idea I thought when I seen the idea so decided to try it :)
I added the bow to the frame with a brad and glittered it up. I also wanted to keep the card quite clean and simple with only a couple of colours :)

Have a good week! Happy Crafting :) :)

Creative Fingers DT - Anything Goes

Good Morning!
It's nearly the weekend yay!

This morning we have a new "anything goes" challenge going on at Creative Fingers - link is HERE.
This challenge we are sponsored by the awesome Sweet Pea Stamps.
I was super excited as I got to choose this badboy image!

I love this image! It's super punky! And she is called "Lucy Loo Longleggings" - link is HERE
She's AWESOME! She has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens and Copics. The greeting is printed off the pc. I also wanted to do the card quite dark to have more emphasis on the image so hence the black. The panel in which she is attached to is embossed with stars. The edge of the glitter card is punched out with a Martha Stewart punch. Of course I had to get some twine and a button in there LOL

Stop by the blog and play along.. An anything goes challenge is easy peasy!

Sassy Studio Designs - Sponsorship

Good Morning Sassy Fans!

This week we are sponsoring the Fab 'n' Funky challenge - link is HERE
And their challenge is.... "Gorgeous Girls"
An easy peasy one right?!

Here's what I've come up with....

I've used the super stunning image that is Showgirl - image can be found on this link HERE.
I wanted to use just a couple of colours so went with red, grey & black. The card base itself I've had for a while but never knew what to do with it until now. The panels were cut out of an old paper pad that I'd never used too lol. Amazing what you find!

There we have it. Pop by the challenge blog too if you get chance.. it's a great blog!

CWWC DT - Bling it up!

Good Morning!

Today's challenge over at Crafting When We Can is

"Bling It Up!"

We have no sponsor this week so it's a free for all.. I've done a stepper card for a 16th Birthday.
Very pink and very bling and glitzy!

The background is super glittery! It's pink with a silver speck. You'll see it better in the other pictures. The 16 I cut out by hand using a template that I printed off the pc. The shoes are from Pink Gem Designs, the handbag I've had for ages and the polish is a clip art pic. All were coloured using Spectrum Noir's. I hate pink but had fun with this!

That's it from me. Off to the last game of the football season today.. booooo! No football for 76 days! Hate it. Anyways, enjoy your day whatever you are up to :)
