The Raya break

Back to work yesterday, after a short break from the Raya holiday. Boss is on leave today til thursday *syok-nyer*... means, no one disturb me at work.. :) but not too long..i kinda miss him :p

Finally! i get to try Tony Roma's best ribs.. & the lion still owe me Haagen Dazs ice cream chocolate fondue.. Not just he made my special day a special one, the next day, on the 10th..he pamper me with lotsa ice cream & food.. *mmm*.. love it.. I can say i had lotsa food that i desire to eat..

The making of Chef Florence...*che*

Syok!!..mom came back for the merdeka weekend & it was good!...manage to catch up with big uncle & we were so awkward towards each other... need lotsa time to catch up. Mom won't be back for my birthday so i've asked her to stay for another day so that i can cook! for her...'Oh no!' that is what dad & bro say... (-____-)... what is wrong with it??!.. is edible oooOOOoookay!

On merdeka day, i woke up early, cleaned the front porch, sweep & mop the floor, then started the preparation. From 10am - 1pm...i was busy with the kitchen...so i've cooked Butter chicken (indian food), Garlic prawn with brandy, Rasam (indian soup) dad's & Lion's fav & curry long bean (cooked by popo).

Mom gave 80%, popo, dad & the lion was speechless, bro ALWAYS got things to say (so i ignore him)... haih... mayb i should take a break before doing it again. But 1 dish capture their appetite. the Garlic prawn with brandy...

New toy!

Dad bought a new Electric Oven that day. I'm was so happy!... cos i can get to experiment in baking! hehehehe... my first baking was last sat, orange muffins.. of cos i add my own recipe, i added choco chips...so it is called orange choco muffins... Not bad, hahahhaa, though abit sweet & burn at the bottom *hmm*...

Last night i tried baking brownies for my colleague's birthday today, ended up became choco cake! *sigh*... i added raisins too.. brownies suppose to be soft! but mine is hard...hmm... why ar?

Will try second attempt this sat. Hope it will turn out delicious & perfect!... Dad bought this oven to heating up food, but ended up i use more frequent than him. :p

So 'gian'!

Me so in to trying to make pancakes, brownies & etc... Angie's blog really inspire me!... since father's day is coming, i shall express it again with my cooking. Not actually cooking but just making it for fun. Last year father's day i cooked japanese for dad which took me 3 hours! to prepare. what to do, 1st timer ma... After visiting Uncle NK's house & angie's blog, i so 'gian' to TRY!!... :p i shall try it this sat, since it is a public holiday... wish me all the best!... who wants to be my experimental white mice??

Love the food!! erm...Goodbye Haili :(

Last Friday we had farewell lunch. Our beloved Haili’s last day. *sigh*… boss wanted to give us ‘surprise lunch’ so we drove all the way from Hartamas to AMPANG!!!.. (-___-) But it wasn’t really bad. Cos we had our lunch at TAMARIND SPRING!!!!!!!!!!... *smiles*… it was my first visit & to me it is just perfect for any garden wedding!... it feels like as if im in a resort hotel, free from the hectic world. Fresh air from the mini jungle, birds chirping, running waters plus the Balinese music…I feel like going for massage you know…anyways…lets talk about the food 1st.

We tried the Italian since bos have not try & already tried Thai (well we’ve not try the Thai) never mind!!... I enjoy the most is the appetizer. *YUMMY*…my main course wasn’t that yummy cos I don’t even know what I’ve ordered. If you look at my main course it looks like, you can find it at the dustbin behind the ‘lorong’……….*glup*…..excluding the flies….*glup**VOMIT*….let me boast about the appetizer, I had my 1st half raw beef w/ olive oil (forgot to take pic), its quite gone mad, then the compliment from the chef we had appetizer (Malaysian style)…Gone mad!!!...& the most yummy, and THE BOMB of all!!! Is……………………………………………oh!!!... my first salmon w/ water chestnut plus olive oil w/ wasabi, mint leaves & garlic!!!!!....’Lord, I hope you have this dish in heaven or anything which is similar to it, THANK YOU!!’..

Hehe…not just the scenery & the food, we enjoy taking pics w/ baby Micah…cute wei…so so cute!!... Aunty Flee love him so much…I call him little pork chop…hahhahahhahaaa…

*ahem*….back to our main reason to have lunch, its so sad for us that Haili is leaving, we almost cry when the clock hits 6pm last fri. So we bought sparkling juice & Tiramisu cake to also wish her all the best in the future. While boss is not in the office, we just feel abit naughty, so my director took out mini Bacardi (35%) & we share. We tossed & oh boy…some talking nonsense. We even sing songs like, Goodbye by Air Supply, Goodbye to you by Michelle Branch & When will I see you again by……*erm*…. Was I tipsy? Hahhahaa…I hug haili before we left by calling her Julie…hahahha..think I’m little bit Tipsy…but not there YET! Hahaha..still manage to do window shopping w/ other colleague…kekeke…

Hope one day, Haili can join us back again.
