He wasn't due until April 10th, but my newest nephew made his appearance today!
Marqus Evan Stevens was born today at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.
My sister, Sharla, went in for an emergency C-section after they noticed that Marqus's heart rate dropped dramatically.
Weighing in at 3 lbs 12 oz and measuring 15 3/4" long, he's a teeny tiny one with some problems, but he's here.
He's currently "Critical but stable" in the NICU, and by now my sister has finally had the chance to see her 1st born child.
We're not sure exactly of his medical status - he was born with an enlarged liver, the ductus in his heart was closed, and he's on a ventilator, but we've got high hopes he'll get through it all ok with the excellent care he's receiving at UVA. :)
Keep him and my sister in your thoughts.... they sure can use them!
