ODBD 5th Anniversary Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs 5th Anniversary Release Hop!  Each year Kelley releases  Anniversary sets that are collections of Scriptures,  sentiments, or quotes chosen by each of the design team members.    Today's hop will showcase most of these submissions.   We hope you love them as much as we do!

If you got here from fabulously talented Kathy's blog you are in the right place.  If not, you may want to start at the ODBD Blog so you do not miss anyone.

Here are the details of the hop:
  • Hop will run Mar 16 8:00am EDT to Mar 17 8:00pm EDT
  • Winners announced Mar 18
  • There will be THREE PRIZES of $25.00 Gift Certificates toward stamps! (must be claimed within 2 weeks)
  • To qualify for one of these prizes, simply hop to each designer, leave a comment and return to the ODBD blog to let us know you finished the hop, if you had any problems along the way, and most of all, leave your congratulations on this big milestone for Kelley and Rick!

For my card I am using the 5th Anniversary Release Quote Collection 3.  I combined the quote above with ODBD Antique Labels Designs stamp set along with the coordinating ODBD Custom Spellbinders Antique Labels and Border dies.
I chose this quote because it reminds me to stay focused and true.  No matter how grand a prayer or how little each must be made with faith.

As always thanks so much for hopping by!
Next on the hop is the wonderfully talented Connie's Blog!

ODBD release day blog hop with candy!!!

It is release day at ODBD!!! We have some wonderful sets for you this month!!! I am showcasing the Let Us Begin set which features wonderful corner images and Mother Teresa quotes.

The design team is doing a color challenge. We each chose three of ODBD ink pads from the store. I chose Sunflower, Olive, and Bordeaux.

I love these three colors!!! The ink is wonderful. I decided to pair my inks with Prism by Prismatics cardstock. I am using Razzleberry dark, Sunflower medium, and Spring Willow medium. I completed two cards that have the same basic background, but different focal images. I wanted to focus on the ink colors in one with a quote and the images in another with a quote.

For my first card, I used one of the corner images stamped in bordeaux. The Mother Teresa quote is stamped in olive. I colored the flowers from the other corner piece using an aquapainter with the bordeaux and sunflower ink pads. I cut those flowers out and lined with a black copic marker. I topped each flower with some stickles for sparkle. I finished with some gold pearl domes and double stitched ribbon.

The second card, showcases another quote from Mother Teresa. This card shows you each color ink stamped with a portion of the quote. I love this look, too.

Now, it is time to continue on your blog hop for candy and to see some fabulous ODBD creations!!! The blog hop starts at the ODBD blog. So, if you stopped by
Angie Z's on the way here you next go to Grace's blog to continue with the hop!! There is candy along the way to so you do not want to miss a hop!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

ODBD Sneak Peeks!!!!

This card is for today's sketch challenge(SC234)! Thanks, Roxie for a great sketch!!!
I did modify the sketch a little just to accomodate my usual square card preference.
I am showing you a sneak peek at a few sets to be released at ODBD on July 1st!!! It is called Mother Teresa. The Lotus image that comes in this set is the National flower of India where Mother Teresa served. This set comes with wonderful quotes by Mother Theresa. On the inside of my card I am using one of the quotes.
I am also using another set called Let Us Begin. It has more Mother Teresa quotes along with two corner detailing images. Love these!!! They add just the perfect finishing touch.

I am using SU NEW In Colors today. I am using Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. I combined these with Kiwi Kiss(soooo going to miss this green). I love the three together. I sponged each panel with a closely matched ink...I do not have the inks for these. I used PTI hibiscus burst for the melon mambo, Adirondack Lettuce for the Kiwi Kiss, and Adirondack Pool for the Bermuda Bay. I colored my image using copics markers.

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder that I am not sure I have ever used more than once. I decided it was time to dust it off in order to create some different texture on the background bermuda panel. I finished my card with some silver pearl domes that Silke(sparklegirl) sent me. She is the best!!! Thanks, girl!!!
