November Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop!

It's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop!

These rustic trees in blues and greens bring images of Old World Christmas to mind. Add in some baubles and finery, or keep it simple and rustic.  Either way, it's sure to inspire.  There are no rules... follow our color pattern or head off in whatever direction these pretty trees take you.  We can't wait to see what you create!

For my card I started with a fun mix of pattern papers that I had in my stash that works with the hues of the inspiration photo.  Next, I die cut, stamped, and gold embossed the flowers from Verve's Kindness Matters stamp set and Great Kindness die set. Next, I die cut and stamped the leafy sprigs from Verve's Sunny Day stamp set and Verve's Leafy Sprigs die set.  

I die cut the word beautiful from Verve's Beautiful Flowers die set three times.  Twice in vintage cream card stock and once in gold foil card stock.  I added some wink of stella on all the flowers and leaves.  I tried to show you in the above photo the soft pretty shine this adds.  I just love the look.  I finished my card with some gold sequins from Verve's Holiday Sequin Mix.

The changing colors of autumn is always such a treat. Like a paintbrush came and colored the world. One of my favorite trees around the neighborhood turns a brilliant purple in the fall, and is so beautiful against the blue sky. So while some may find this a wintry inspiration, to me a bit of regal purple and a touch of sky and earth will always be fall. Follow the color pattern, or take your inspiration from the graphic, either way it's sure to be lovely! We can't wait to see what you create!

For my card, I was inspired by the colors as well as the wallpaper in the inspiration photo.  I decided to stamp the floral sprays from the newly released Verve Potter's Clay stamp set around the perimeter of my card panel in varying heights using shades of moss, aqua, and purple.  I incorporated some generational stamping to give a softer tonal color variations. I added a sentiment from Verve's Kindness Matters stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink in the top center of the panel.   I die cut the "kindness" word using Verve's Great Kindness die set. 

I die cut the word three times.  Twice in purple and once in gold card stock and layered the three together for added depth and dimension.  I slightly offset the gold so the purple could add a soft drop shadow effect.  I finished my card with a few of Verve's Shine Bright Sequin Mix.

For my card I chose to play off of the inspiration piece with the distressed look, green forest background, and bright pops of color. I used Glitz Finnley designer paper  for my background.  I die cut and stamped Verve's Happy Place stamp set and Happy Doodles die set. 

I colored the flowers with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I added some Wink of Stella to give them some shine.  I stamped the sentiment from same set using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I finished with some loose threading and some Verve Shine Bright Sequin Mix.

Summertime is on the way and a soft beachy vibe is our inspiration this month. Soft neutrals and bold pops of color are sure to bring a bit of summer flair to your projects. For my card I started with some watercolor card stock and ranger distress inks.  I stamped the image from Verve's Deco Borders to create a beach scene with sand, ocean, and sky.  I used a water brush to sweep across the stamped images for a more watercolor effect.  I stamped the sailboat from Verve's With Love set directly onto the background and again onto white card stock where I used copics to color.  I cut out the main pieces and popped up using foam tape.  I die cut a few clouds using Verve's Partly Cloudy die set.  

I stamped and die cut some images using Verve's Strong Anchor stamp set and Nautical die set using Verve's Flourished Tag set for the sentiment.   I die cut a circle from the Flourish Tag set as well to add behind the vellum sentiment to make the sentiment pop a bit more and not have to compete with the background.  I added some wink of stella to the sailboat, the clouds, and the anchor.  I finished my card with a few wooden stars.

 For my card, I started with some fun pattern papers from American Krafts Everyday paper pack and created a layout that mimics the many layers of the bracelet.  I added stamped sentiments from Verve's Chocolate  and Coffee stamp sets.

 I masked and stamped the words Eat and Drink words onto Verve's Flag It die.

I die cut Verve's Chocolate word die and Coffee word die in gold foil card stock.  I finished my card with some loose threading and gold sequins from Verve's Holiday Sequin Mix.
