Monday, yes your week is off and away and you just aren't ready for it at all. You are still wondering where the weekend went and probably will be till at least Wednesday when you then will switch your hope till the next weekend. So while that is all going through your head watch this week's showcase video from White24Room which is probably the best Uncharted tribute I have seen. There is a few clips from Uncharted 4, but nothing super spoilerish so sit back and enjoy the distraction.
Wasn't I right?

Great The Power's Out, A Girl's Trapped
So here we are another Wednesday another middle to the week. We are also enjoying the second day of the Uncharted 4 release and many of us playing or yet to play and haven't savagely completed the entire story are wondering what will happen. So I put together a list on the things I am wondering about. So here goes.
5. Will I Have To Throw Grenades While Hanging
Everyone's favourite Uncharted thing to do. With the except of Drake mindlessly jumping to his death for no reason. Oh how I look forward to this each and every time.
4. What Is The Deal With His Brother
So Drake was an orphan who met with Sully and had this whole thief type life going for him. Now we were never introduced to this brother or knew anything about him. So yes, let's know more.
3. What Impossible Action Sequence Will Take Place
So we have done this next to impossible seado chase, rode a moving train while killing everything, fought a tank, caused a ship to sink and some how got out alive, climbed back into plane using it's cargo then survived the crash, and hopped from horses to cars and back again some how. Yes and that isn't even all of them.
2. Will All Of The Main Cast Survive
This is something everyone wants to know, and is pretty self explanatory.
1. Will There Be "Zombies"?
Well will there be?
There they are my top 5 things I want to get answered in Uncharted 4 in this week's list. Did I miss any? Let me know in one way or another.

You Fail At Being Ready For Uncharted 4 If...
Fail Day! Yes it is Fail Day and if you were unaware it is also the day that we can finally get our hands on Uncharted 4. I don't know about all of you, but I am beyond excited to be playing this today. For everyone else we have a Fail Day just for you.
You Fail At Being Ready For Uncharted 4 If...
- You didn't know it was coming out today
- You think Naughty Dog games are overrated
- You don't own a PS4
- You think you will just pick it up on your xbox
- They were out of copies when you went to pick one up
- You don't think Nathan Drake is an awesome lead character
- You are not at all curious out this brother thing
- You didn't do a story refresher on the previous 3 games
- You are not waiting to laugh at Drake's "normal" life
- You don't know what all these zombie jokes are about
- You have no interest in the story and will be going right to the mulitplayer
- You believe there are better games you could be playing
And Finally
- You have no interested in playing it
There you have it this week's edition of fail. Hope you all got a chuckle or something else out of it. Happy Treasure Hunting!

Ask Gauss
Sunday! Yes, the weekend is almost over and you really haven't done much of anything. So why change? Just sit back and see what questions I am answering this week. Yep, let's get right to it.
What game do you think has the worst controls?
Well I would say Lair almost every day of the week, but then this past week recently saw the controls for using a controller on the original Magicka. How has anyone ever used those? Honestly, at least Lair's made sense even if they didn't translate well at all in game. Why do you endlessly have to make circles on a controller when you could just push a button. Like on a mouse of keyboard.
Do you really think Uncharted 4 is going to be the last game?
I think it will be the last game, which is going to be centred around Nathan Drake as the main character. I think and also hope for the chance to play a prequel game where we can get into Sully's story. Mostly because we really don't know too much about him. I wouldn't hate it if eventually the series is brought back with Drake's children, because I enjoy the series as a whole. Just think it would be a great wrap up to the story if we knew how everything began.
Game of Thrones not that far away.
Not gaming related but very good point.
There you have it questions done for the week. Hope you all got something out of it or at least it was only a marginal waste of time.

Ask Gauss
Sunday. If you are practicing Daylight Savings type, how goes your 1 less hour of sleep? Yes I know, I know you are grumpy because of it and you don't want to hear anymore about it. So why not get to more important things like the questions I am answering for the week. Yes let's do that.
So I know this is spoilerish, but did you see Nazgrim is going to be resurrected as a Death Knight?
Does seem like another Jon Snow moment happening. From what I have seen Darion does ask you to visit the grave of Nazgrim for the purpose of rebuilding the 4 Horsemen. Now this is kind of an interesting way to bring back a character who only died because of his honor(Wow Ned Starkish). So we will see Nazgrim in one way shape or form. So if he is 1 of the new Horsemen, who will the other 3 be? Interesting question indeed.
Are you or have you replayed the Uncharted games before the 4th comes?
I will probably do a run through to remember the smaller points to the story and to get the small little jokes that tend to happen from game to game within the series. Now do I think you will need to replay them? Probably not. The story is going to be a continuation that is for sure and the plot points of the previous games are pretty straightforward if you have played the games. I also assume like all the previous games the controls and everything will be reviewed from the get go so you won't have to worry about that either. Now that I think about it will probably just replay them cause Nathan Drake is awesome.
Dark Souls III is coming.
And so are many deaths.
There you have it this week's questions all answered. That you to everyone who sent something in if I answered it on here or not. I will get to your questions eventually. Enjoy your recovery from your hour of sleep lost.

Maybe We Don't Exist
Well here we are on yet another Wednesday looking to stand out more so than all others. Now when I was thinking about this week's list I was thinking about the exact same thing. You know those characters who you thought are/were so interesting they deserve their own game. Well here they are my top 5 video game characters who I think deserve their own game.
5. Vaas Montenegro - Far Cry 3
So yes he died in Far Cry 3, but wouldn't it be interesting to have a prequel type game that was dedicated to his story. Where we could learn the definition of insanity?
4. Scorpion - Mortal Kombat Series
So of any fighting game he has the most interesting story so why wouldn't you want to see more of it. Just feel like delving into his past more would be something, which would be quite interesting.
3. Haytham Kenway - Assassin's Creed Series
So we got a little taste of him in Assassin's Creed III. Every Assassin's Creed fan though want's to see him as the main in his own game. I doubt we will ever see it, but it is something we can keep wishing for.
2. Victor Sullivan - Uncharted Series
So we know Uncharted 4 will be the last we will see of the Nathan Drake character. Doesn't mean the series itself is done though. I have always loved Sully and I think a game with him as the main and a younger version would show us that much more.
1. Vivi Ornitier - Final Fantasy IX
Now I realize some could argue he is dead or that Final Fantasy IX's story was already a lot about him. This iconic Black Mage though deserves something all his own. It could be the events following the end of Final Fantasy IX to something completely different. Whatever it is I know it would be well received
So there they are the characters in video games who I believe deserve their own time in the lime light as the main character in their respective games. What do you all think? Who should I have included? As always let me know.

Ask Gauss
Sunday! Yes here we are ending our weekend and feeling awful because the weather is cooling down. Even my pool is closed up now making the realization that as Ned Stark would say "Winter Is Coming". Trying not to get me down too much as there is still plenty of things to do. Like go through my emails and pick questions for the week! So let's get to that!
When are we going to get the Warcraft Movie trailer?
Well that is simple Blizzcon. I have no doubt in my mind that the big reveal this year will be at Blizzcon. I think we will also get a Q&A with the cast as well as tons of other movie related material. I just don't see a better way than that to make a big splash at Blizzard's greatest stage. It actually would surprise me completely if this wasn't the case.
Even playing the Nathan Drake collection you can see how video games have became easier over time.
Anytime you play a trilogy even if the separation of years is large you can seeing the evolution of gaming. In a game like Uncharted it can be more evident towards the difficulty side of things just because I think they made the first game harder than they actually wanted it to be. Now I am talking core mechanics. Obviously you can turn up the difficulty and get the difficulty in the game you should be playing, but that really isn't what I judge a games "difficulty" on. If you compare the second and the third game I think you will see the mechanics of the game are pretty similar with just some minor tweaks to not make the game easier but just make it flow more. This to me is really what you would like in a series you don't want games to be miles away in difficulty because it aggravates some players and pisses off others.
So has Bautista bat flip already the cover winning for MLB The Show net year?
That isn't a bad idea.
There you have it this week's questions. Thank you to everyone who sent something in as this could not be possible without all of your questions. As always if your question was not answered on here I will get to it in the most timely manner possible. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Ask Gauss
Here we are another Sunday and another Ask Gauss coming your way. This one a little special since it is Canadian Thanksgiving tomorrow. You know the real time to celebrate Thanksgiving not the weird time in November that those south of the border celebrate. Ignoring all that though let's get to the questions
Do you think Naughty Dog released the Uncharted series so more non series followers pickup Uncharted 4?
I think that may have something to do with it. I also think though it has something to do with the same reason they released The Last of Us to the PS4. A lot of people who were xbox players didn't have the chance to play the series and this really is there chance to experience, which I believe is the best trilogy out there. So yes marketing aside it is also giving those who didn't have the chance to play on the previous generation to play on this one.
How do you like the medic?
I haven't had the chance to play her myself on the live servers, but from what I have seen and heard she really does work best as a second support because of mana issues. Now this could be because people are using her heal too early and need to play more to get a feel, but it does seem that there may need to be some mana rework of some sort if she is going to play as a solo support
Will there be a turkey day post?
Well I guess you will just have to wait till tomorrow won't you?
There you have it this week's questions all answered. Thanks to everyone who sent something in and a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

You Fail At Uncharted If...
So with little more than a week away from October the 9th I thought for this week's fail day I would go back to something which will be new again. That is if you didn't know the release of the Nathan Drake Collection for the PS4. So for those who have had the chance or not in what in my opinion is the greatest trilogy ever comes to you in full HD. With that all in mind here we go
You Fail At Uncharted If...
- You don't know who Nathan Drake is
- You don't know the pain of "the tank"
- You have never run over rooftops avoiding a helicopter
- You can't catch a grenade
- You don't like Sully
- You don't find the elevator joke in Uncharted 2 funny
- You don't think Tenzin is awesome
- You never question drakes thief skills
- You doubt Drakes ability to survive impossible odds
- You think there is ever a bad time for an RPG
- You play on Easy mode
- You never wonder what the deal is with the trains
And Finally
- You have no interest in playing
There you have it this week's edition of fail and a little more than a week to prepare for it all!

Ask Gauss
So here we are my first Ask Gauss since I have been back. Let me tell you I will have a pile of questions for quite some time to go over. I will also tell you that keep sending in your questions I still will be looking at old and new and picking the best of the week so don't worry you will not be ignored. With all of that out of the way let's get to this week's questions.
Do you think it is odd the new Hearthstone Heroes will not be able to be purchased with gold?
Honestly, and I know people are going to hate me for this but no. I look at them like skins. Skins in any other free to play game are purchased with real money. They are purely cosmetic and offer nothing in the way of gameplay advantage or disadvantage so really are the perfect thing to be purchased with real money. I know people are up in arms about it and that they are completionists and need to have the chance to do everything for free, but really i'm sorry you don't. You want the hero pay for it. I actually believe it is selfish of you complaining you can't get everything in a game for free just because you want everything in a game. Support the company and the game you love if you truly want it that badly if not then just live with the fact you can't have it.
So Uncharted games are all going to be remastered for PS4 what do you think?
Do I think they all need to be remastered? No. Would I like other games remastered before this? Yes. Do I think this is a bad idea? No. You have to remember PS4 has a large population of people who switched from XBOX to PS4 meaning their are countless people that have never got the chance to experience arguably one of the great series there is in gaming. This is the same reasoning I used for The Last of Us and it still works. Naughty dog is providing a fan service to people who haven't had the chance. Also if there is people who want to buy the remastered version all the power to them.
When are they going to fix matchmaking in Heroes?
Go see my Thursday Post. Along with the other hundred people who sent me this question.
There you have it questions all answered for the week. Thank you to everyone who sent in questions along with all of those who sent them in while I was away. I will get to them all eventually if they make it on here or not. This would not be possible without all of your contributions. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and the Game of Thrones Finale.

So Where Do We Go From Here Huh?
Well here we are in the middle of the week when we only have one thing to do besides shovel because of all the snow that ended up on the driveway last night. What is that you ask? Well that is make a list. Now I have got a lot of flack about how I have never done a couples themed list ever. So do you know what well I am going to do it now. Now I want to make a couple stipulations one being games where you can make your own romances. Looking at you Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Other than that everything is fair game. So here are my picks be prepared to bitch.
5. Mario and Princess Peach - Mario Bros Series
I don't think you can ever make a list such as this and not include these two. Sure she seems to always get captured and Mario is always doing the saving. Except for that one game which name escapes me when crying could be used as a weapon. Maybe one day she will learn to avoid capture.
4. Squall and Rinoa - Final Fantasy 8
Out of all the Final Fantasy there is one which stands out as being perfectly made that it could be seamlessly be made into a movie. There just isn't anything to like about the two of them. They play off each other and make the game fun to play each time you do.
3. Link and Zelda - Legend of Zelda Series
Just like Mario and the Peach it would be hard to make a list without these two. Through all of the games we have met many incarnations of them and how it all plays out. Skyward Sword being my favourite of the bunch.
2. Tidus and Yuna - Final Fantasy X/X-2
Sure this one might be slight cheeseball. Especially when remembering the whole laughing incident. The reason why I rank this one so high is that the girl doesn't seem like an addon and really is just as important if not more so. Also it isn't the happy ending one expects and to me that gets more props for doing so. Now if you played through X-2 you get that happy ending, but still those who played would understand.
1. Drake and Elena - Uncharted Series
I really don't think there is much competition for these two. Mostly because most gaming relationships either seem forced to be part of the story or they really don't play out as one in the world would. Uncharted does it completely different. This seems exactly how a real couple would play out right before you and to me is one of the real reason I love the series itself.
There are my choices. Agree or disagree those are them regardless. Now I must shovel.
5. Mario and Princess Peach - Mario Bros Series

I've Read A Book Or Two
Wednesday you know that day in the middle of the week. The middle although often good isn't really that great if it doesn't start and end well. You know like a 3 parter. This brings me the topic of this week's list. The best trilogies. Now let me be specific her in that they need to be only 3 games and the story must build on the last and have a clear start and finish. So obviously that excludes a lot of options out there. So here are my top trilogies.
5. Final Fantasy XIII
Now I know people have given this Final Fantasy game a lot of slack because the first game was too linear. I understand those complaints, but that is no reason to look away how the story made a full turn around. How often is a trilogy in place where you are playing 3 separate styles and really 3 different main characters. This doesn't happen. So no matter what anyone says I cannot exclude this from my list.
4.Donkey Kong
What can I say. The king of side scroll trilogies gave us something frustrating yet fun to play over and over. Countless hours were wasted in these games and I wouldn't trade that time for anything.
3. Mass Effect
Yes the ending wasn't what everyone expected. I get that. This still doesn't take away from a trilogy which let you build on what you did in the previous games and bring it to the next. It really was a completely personal environment for you from game to game.
2. Assassin's Creed II
Everyone loves Ezio, and seeing him from birth to the very end of his assassin career is something gamers will never forget. By far one of the most likable protagonists in any game. The story came together so nicely and really does anything beat revenge?
1. Uncharted
Now I know this is going to get a 4th game. Which is not out yet and the story as a whole was wrapped up nicely from start to finish with the 3 games. I figured though before it gets a forth game no matter how connected or not better give this series the best trilogy vote before it is too late.
There you have it. The list is out and send your arguments this way because I know they are coming.

No No, I Was Talking About The Mountains
So here I was sitting around thinking that I haven't really done a list of anything voice related recently. Now I have done best quotes, favourite Voice actors and so on and so forth, but then I realized I have never done what I thought were the best Voice Acting performances in video games. Now obviously this is my opinion and some will probably disagree, but in the end it is my list isn't it.
5. Ellen McLain - GLaDOS
Not only is the Portal franchise something which anyone who has ever played always have a connection to. The Ellen McLain preformance as GLaDOS is nothing short of a masterpiece. So much so that the movie Pacific Rim featured the iconic voice
4. Roger Craig Smith - Ezio Auditore
There is a reason Ezio is one of the most beloved video game characters of all time. Sure the story is well done and we see him right from a baby all until his death. To me though none of it happens without the masterful portrayal by Roger Craig Smith
3. Troy Baker - Joel
Troy Baker has done countless amazing performances across tons of games, but I don't think you could even get him to say one was better than Joel. The Last of Us is itself a masterpiece but all the pieces had to come together to bring it to that. Without Baker this wouldn't have happened.
2. Liam O'Brien - Caius Ballad
Most know him for the words "YOU ARE NOT PREPARED" and does an amazing job as Illidan every step of the way. Really though none of his performances are better than Caius. There really is something if you have played the games or not you can appreciated every word which comes out of Caius' mouth. Nothing is said without reason and without purpose and that is exactly how he makes it sound.
1. Nolan North - Nathan Drake
Nolan North is in everything. He is the iconic voice actor of our time. Out of all of his amazing performances though I don't know how you can pick any other than Nathan Drake. He has a way of expressing emotion in every direction better than any other voice actor there is. Something which really can't be ignored. It will be a sad day when Uncharted 4 is over.
There you have it. Think I got it right?

Yeah, Now We're The Cookies
So have you ever only picked up a game thinking why am I buying this? Despite the reviews you still think the game itself won't be one you will actually enjoy? I have done this quite a few times and I will admit some of those time I am pleasantly surprised at how much I have actually enjoyed the game. Now with Destiny I have this same feeling, but the jury is still out on it and will have to decide. For now though these are the top 5 games I was won over on.
5. World of Warcraft
4. Grand Turismo
3. The Walking Dead Game
2. Heavy Rain
1. Uncharted
5. World of Warcraft
This seems like such a weird choice knowing what you all probably already know about me, but it is true. I have always loved Warcraft Lore and the RTS games were some of my favourite games ever, but an MMO? I wasn't sure. I had not really enjoyed the MMO genre much up to this point and was actually angry that one of my favourite franchises was switching to this format. I then played it though and the rest is really history isn't it.
4. Grand Turismo
Now I have always enjoyed a good racing game. I even enjoyed the games which allowed you to build your cars and engineer though exactly how you saw fit in order to improve their racing capabilities. Even with that I had been disappointed in the racing genre for years and even with all the great feedback coming out I wasn't overly excited when I picked it up. I am glad I did because this is still far and away the best racing game and probably in my top 10 games I have played all time.
3. The Walking Dead Game
It really is a simple truth that most games based on Television or Movies are not worth the time of day. This game was even being released in episodes and I thought a small price to check out a game which had received pretty damn good reviews. I am forever glad I did for it really is a gem.
2. Heavy Rain
Murder mystery games tend to not hold my interest. Also I figured since this game had such a high budget a lot of the hype coming out was around the fact that they were pushing it. I was pleasantly surprised and finally figuring out the origami killers identity was a special moment.
1. Uncharted
Now Uncharted is one of my favourite franchises out there. The gameplay is never short of entertaining and the stories are always well thought out and inspiring. This wasn't always the case. When I was first hearing about Uncharted all I could think about is it was serious game coming from the makers of Crash Bandicoot. It really took a lot for me to pick up this game and try it and now I think why in the hell did it take me so long to do so.
So there it is my list of games I love, but came close to never trying them. What games make your list? Is it similar to mine? As always let me know one way or another.

Drink Your Goddamn Tea!
Wow didn't the middle of the week just come out of no where. Seemed like the weekend was just here. Even if I cannot believe it though it is Wednesday which means I need to do a list of some sort. So I was sitting here thinking what to do it on. Then I thought to myself wouldn't it be interesting to have real conversation with some of our favourite characters from the games we love. And so here we are my top 5 gaming characters I would love to have a conversation with.
5. Nathan Drake
This would just be one of those conversation which you took talk for hours about things yu have got yourself out of. The places or things hes seen could make this conversation be one of the more interesting you could ever have.
4. Zeratul
Being exiled and providing guidance to the greatest Protoss who ever lived is something which cannot be looked over. Besides hes a Protoss and it would be cool to talk to someone who doesn't have a mouth.
3. Velen
I would just want to see if he feels bad for knowing the entire conflict in Warcraft Lore is basically because of his choices. Does he feel bad and what does he have to say for himself. Also if he knows everything why does he always seem as if he has Jon Snow syndrome.
2. A'ltair lbn-La'Ahad
One of the most skilled fighters in mind and with the blade. He saw so many things throughout the history he lived, what came before and even what the future would bring. The man created a library with no books and just himself. Tell me this wouldn't be amazing.
1. Cid Highwind
First off you would never be short on tea. Every story no matter how dull would be the most entertaining thing you have ever heard. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about your language because obviously to make a point you have to throw in some swear words.
There is this week's list. What do you think? Who would you want to shoot the shit with?

There Isn't A Thing I Don't Cherish!
Here we are smack dab right in the middle of the week. Time to throw everything together and make ourselves a list of some sorts. Last week as you know I put together a list based upon my favourite Villains, and this week as promised I will be giving me Heroes. Although they tend to be less interesting then villains there are still many of them that are quite complex and interesting. So let's have a look at my list.
5. Tassadar - Starcraft
The one who gave everything so that others those believed in him or not could live. A true hero really knows what has to be done. Tassadar knew and truthfully the only reason he isn't higher on this list is because he didn't get as much screen time.
4. Joel - The Last of Us
All he was trying to do was survive. His world and life was destroyed and he took it upon himself to protect someone he didn't even know. Took her across the entire United States in a journey which will be remembered as long as gaming is a thing. If anyone had the opportunity they would be Joel
3. Nathan Drake - Uncharted Series
A hero doesn't only need to do whats right, but he has to have some charisma as well. He is the hero you cheer for and the one who never ceases to amaze you.
2. Ezio Auditore - Assassin's Creed II Trilogy
The man with the golden voice. The one in the shadows making sure even though the world will never really knew who or what he was he was important more than anyone could possibly imagine to the world as we know it becoming something it was never supposed to be.
1. Cloud Strife- Final Fantasy VII
The one who overcame everything including himself to save the planet. When you look to what a hero really is Cloud really is everything you look for. He has the complexity of a villain while having the charisma and the drive a hero needs to have.
There you have it my heroes list all wrapped up to be broken down and told why it is wrong. So let me know.

I Dreamt I Was A Moron
Middle of the week already? That is the first thing I thought about when I started to throw ideas around for this week's list post. Then it got me thinking how some things in a game are so obvious and thrown out there you wonder how so many people never pick up on them. It is like they cannot see what is right in front of them. You then get into arguments with them how this and that is not true or that never happened, or there was never any proof. This is when having the conversation with myself turned into how I have to make a list about this. My top 5 obviously things in games people never picked up on. Now if you haven't played these games there is some spoilers here so keep this in mind before you go complaining about spoilers.
5 Vlad Is A Vampire - Magicka
So this one is rather silly and obvious but some people think it is a joke and not actually true. Even after the whole must kill the vampire level. Setting the record straight for everyone Vlad is a Vampire.
4. Drake and Elena are Married - Uncharted Series
3. Assassin's Creed Games Contain Real History
2. Haschel is Dart's Grandfather - Legend of the Dragoon
1. Laguna is Squall's Father - Final Fantasy 8
So this one is a little less obvious, but the writing is on the walls the entire time. With the "ring" that mattered along with being separated along with the scene I chose for the picture. Everything points to this without it actually being said. Anyone who thinks otherwise honestly makes me facepalm every time.
3. Assassin's Creed Games Contain Real History
You would be surprise how many people argue against this. There is even some stats on how you can learn more about history from Assassin's Creed then in an actually history course. You know tose little pop ups about the buildings you encounter that crap wasn't made up it was true. Along with the people you encounter. This is why the stories seem to make sense and fit in so well because they were created into real history.
2. Haschel is Dart's Grandfather - Legend of the Dragoon
I have had this argument with people over and over. They always quote Albert saying how common a name of Claire is. They also never talk about the singing or martial arts which disprove the whole naming theory. Haschel even figures it out and when his part of the Divine Tree comes he doesn't want Dart to know jsut yet.
1. Laguna is Squall's Father - Final Fantasy 8
This one is less obvious, but the conversation before "the end" is the final push towards this. It is never explicitly stated but signs point towards it. The whole "sis" thing and squall remembering certain things which no one else tends to remember even though they all have memory issues. The way Edea describes everything to him after she is saved. I am sure a lot of you are now having mindblown moments now, but just let it all sink in.
There you have it this week's list. Do any of you know anything worth mentioning? Think of one I for lack of better words obviously missed? Let me know.
