Just Hangin' Out

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend. We started the kids' bathroom re-do, so now we're in the process of sharing sinks and showers. Fun. :)

Anyway, I didn't get as much stamping time as I'd hoped, but I did get this card made after the girls went to bed last night. While making my Valentine projects I had planned to use this Hedgehog Kisses stamp by Penny Black. It didn't happen. So I made this "just because" card instead. I paired the image with this sentiment from the Hangin' Around cling set by JustRite Stampers.

I kept the design simple and monochromatic. The paper is Porcelain Dot and Organic Honeysuckle by Bo Bunny. I paper pieced the balloons and colored with Copics, and I inked all the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink. I tied the tag to the bow with Silver Metallic String.

That's it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by -- I really appreciate it! :)

Have a great day!

Kisses

Hello! TGIF! Today I have a Stamper's Dream card to share with you. This sweet image from the Penny Black Mimi and Miles Clear Stamp Set just makes me smile (the whole set makes me smile!). I wanted to keep things sweet with this color combination -- there sure is a LOT of pink! :)

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. The paper is from the Crush 6x6 pad by Bo Bunny. To add some more black to the design, I topped the yummy pink and white striped ribbon with some black checkered ribbon.

I placed some tiny adhesive rhinestones on her buttons and over the "i" in the sentiment.

I may have one more Valentine card left in me...  we'll see! I will be stamping like crazy this weekend, so I'm sure I'll have something to share!

Thanks so much for your visits and comments -- they mean a lot!

Have a great day!

Love Is in the Air

Happy Thursday, everyone! I'm still working on Valentines -- I still have some time, right? Love is definitely in the air with this Hedgehopper stamp from Penny Black. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. The paper is from the Sugar Rush 6x6 pad by Basic Grey. The orange panel was cut and embossed with one of the Labels Fifteen Nestabilities.

I used a sentiment from A Loving Heart Clear Stamp Set by Impression Obsession. I embellished with red checker ribbon, red burlap string, and some heart-shaped adhesive rhinestones.

That's all for now! I hope you're having a great day -- thanks so much for stopping by!

Feelin' Like Autumn...

Hello, everyone! I've finally emerged after drowning in back-to-school activities! Thanks for being patient with me! :)

It's a GORGEOUS day today. There's a chill in the air, and my windows are open -- I can smell autumn on the way. Makes me happy just thinkin' about it. I just had to ink up this adorable Penny Black stamp, Hoppy Day, available at Stamper's Dream.

The paper is BasicGrey's Indian Summer.  I embossed the background cardstock with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots folder, and I distressed the edges of the cardstock just slightly. I colored with Copics and applied some Cinnamon Stickles to the cattails. I embellished with a Cappucino button, natural burlap string, and plaid ribbon. I placed a punched circle behind the button for some extra color and dimension.

No more breaks for a while -- there are too many stamps to get inky! Plus, MFTeasers start this weekend! I hope you'll stop back to see what's new!

Thank you so much for the visit today!

Have a great day!

Sweet Friends

Hello! Happy Thursday to you! I have a Stamper's Dream card to share with you today. This stamp is mimi & friend by Penny Black. Aren't they so sweet?

I used a Big Scalloped Oval as the mat, and I sponged around the image while it was still in the die. The paper is Fly a Kite by October Afternoon. I paper pieced the dresses and hands, and I applied some Stickles to the wings and flower centers. I embellished with a Heidi Swapp Ghost Shape flower, button and twine.

Take some time to shop around at Stamper's Dream -- there are lots of goodies to be found! :)

That's all for today! I'm so glad you stopped to visit!

Have a great day!

Collecting Seashells

Hi there! Happy Tuesday! I haven't had much time for stampy things lately -- I'm getting ready to leave Thursday for CHA! I am SO excited to see many of my stamping friends and to meet others for the first time! These last few days have been spent preparing myself and my family for my absence -- laundry, schedules, post-it notes everywhere -- I'm sure you know what I mean!

Anyway, here is a project I've been wanting to do since we returned from vacation. My youngest, Caroline, loves to collect seashells. What I love about her is that the shells she thinks are beautiful are not always the ones I would choose. While we're at the beach she hands me her treasures -- imperfect and broken -- so I can keep them in a bucket for her. I brought many of them home and placed them in this basket, then I made a tag for it.

I used one of the Curved Rectangle Nestabilites to cut the tag from a piece of Fly a Kite paper. I hand-cut the mat from Kraft cardstock, then I sponged the edges with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Inks. The images are from Beach Day by Penny Black, available at Stamper's Dream. I stamped the shell border across the bottom, then I stamped and cut out two extra shell images and popped them up on dimensionals. I added some Stickles to the bubbles and ground, and I stitched the edge of the sentiment. then I tied the tag onto the basket with some Ivory Burlap String.

That's all for today! I'm off to do a little more laundry -- gotta get packing! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Exciting News!

Hello! Happy Tuesday! I have some fun news to share with you! Here's a hint... take a look at the watermark on this card. I'm the July Guest Designer for Stamper's Dream! :) I was so excited when Michelle emailed me -- I am thrilled and honored to be working with her and her amazing Dream Team!

Since we just returned from vacation, I still have beach on the brain... so it was a sweet surprise when Michelle sent me this set to work with! It's the Beach Day clear stamp set by Penny Black. These images were so much fun to color with my Copics! I cut them out and sponged some of the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink by Ranger.

Here's the inside of the card. I used another image and sentiment from the set, and I did more sponging and sewing.

I'll have more Stamper's Dream products to share with you in the coming weeks. Until then, be sure to stop by the store and have a look around! :)

I'll be back with another MFTeaser tomorrow! See you then!

Have a great day, everyone!
