It's Digital Designs Day at MFT!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today My Favorite Things is releasing a new digi paper pack and several new templates, so we're celebrating with a Digital Designs Day! If you haven't tried anything digital, now's the time!

Here's what's new:
Halloween Dotty Papers
Bird House Template
Full Circle Treat Box Template
All-Season Wagon Template
Pumpkin Box Template

I used the Pumpkin Box Template and the Halloween Dotty Papers to make my first project. I made the box and tag out of Fossil cardstock. I also printed the orange dotty pattern onto Fossil cardstock and cut strips for the box and tag. I inked all the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink. On the pumpkin top, instead of using the scalloped circle in the template, I used My Favorite Felt and one of the flowers from the Die-namics Perfect Petal Trio.

The image and sentiment on the tag are from Tiny Town Halloween. The scallop was cut with the Die-namics Small Scallop Border. I finished the tag with a couple of Neutral Baby Braddies.

I again used the Fossil Cardstock, Halloween Dotty Papers and Tiny Town Halloween to make this clean and simple Halloween card.

The MFT DT has more digital fun to share with you! Head over to Kim's Blog after 11 am for a list of all the designers participating in Digital Designs Day! :)

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Last Day of MFTeasers!

Happy Wednesday! It's the last day of MFTeasers before the release tonight! There are three sets being previewed today, and I have a sample for each!

My first project features Lovin' from the Oven and Clearly Sentimental about Food. I created a clipboard for the kitchen which can hold shopping lists or menus. I covered a small clipboard with Nook and Pantry 6x6 paper and gave it a good coat of Modge Podge for protection. I added some large ric rac -- it reminded me of the icing on those cupcakes! :)

I stamped the image from Lovin' from the Oven and paper pieced it. The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about Food.

I printed some To Do List Templates and stamped the sentiment and cupcake on top! :)

My second project features Clearly Sentimental about You, the Triple Scoop set of the month. I used Sugar Rush 6x6 paper and the Robot 2 Digi Stamp. I embellished with some MFT ribbon and braddies.

See that sparkly, glittery gear? I used Glitzy Glitter and some circle punches -- on Friday I'll have my first VIDEO to show you how I made it! :)

Stop by Kim's Blog after 11 am for the links to all the designers with previews today! Then join us tonight for the Release Party from 8-10 pm, and Shop and Hop when the sets go live at 10:00!

That's all for now! See you back here for the Hop tonight! :)

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

To the Moon!

Hello! TGIF!! I've been having so much fun with all the new releases from My Favorite Things! Just before the Release Party Wednesday night, I had a chance to make this card with Robot 3, one of the new Digi Stamps! These robot images are so adorable -- they're perfect for kids or adults!

The sentiment is from Love Machine. To make the moon, I punched a 1 3/8" circle and ran it through my Cuttlebug in the Spots and Dots embossing folder. Then I applied SU! White Craft ink directly to the paper. The red Adornments Baby Braddies were just the right size to embellish this little guy!

I'll list the other ingredients below -- just ask if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for visiting today! It means so much to me that you take the time to stop by! Have a fantastic Friday! :)

Cookie Break

Happy Monday! Here's another of the All That Scraps Digi Images being released today! This is Cookie Break, one of several adorable Christmas images by illustrator Amy Young. The sentiment is from Christmas Sentiments by AmyR Stamps.

The paper is Wassail by BasicGrey. I did some machine stitching around the holly panel. I colored with Copics and applied Frosted Lace Stickles to the trim on Santa's coat and hat. I aged the edges of the image panel and sentiment with Vintage Touch Chamomile Ink by Papertrey Ink.

There are SO many cute digi images being released today -- check them out HERE on the ATS Blog. They really are easy to use -- try them if you haven't already! :)

That's all for today! Thank you so much for your visits and comments!

Have a great day!

The Boo Crew!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Have you heard the news? Today My Favorite Things has released a line of Digital Stamps! Many of your favorite MFT images are now available as digi images -- and there's a brand spankin' new Halloween image by Stephanie Fizer! It's available individually or as part of the Boo Crew Digi Kit! The kit includes the image, sentiment sheet, tag sheet, poem, instructions, and project idea sheet -- all for $5.95! It's perfect for "BOOing" your neighbors and friends! I used the kit to make this "Boo Bucket" and card.

I used the tree from Too Cute to Spook and added some googly eyes to mimic this fun Bo Bunny Boo Crew paper. I stamped the spider border from Ghoulish Label Set around the sentiment before cutting it out. The ribbons are from the Halloween Collection Ribbon Nest.

How cute is this Boo Crew image?!? I colored with Prismacolor Pencils blended with Turpenoid.

The inside of the card has the poem which is included in the kit. It prints out 4 poems per sheet. I stamped the spider from Ghoulish Label Set and machine stitched a web.

Can you tell I had a blast making this project? I can't wait to surprise our neighbors! :)

You have to check out this kit and all the new digi stamps HERE!! So fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I appreciate it so much!

Have a great day! :)

ATS Mid-month Release!

Happy Sunday, everyone! Today All That Scraps is releasing a new set of Paper Pleasing Digi Images by Julie Buhler. They are beautiful Easter images! For my sample, I printed the daffodil image and sentiment, then I colored with Prismacolor pencils. I sponged around the image and sentiment with So Saffron ink. I did some machine stitching and added some ribbon and Dew Drops.

Now, I'll admit I was a little hesitant to use the digi images at first. I am and always will be a girl who loves stamps and ink. :) But, it is nice that you can change the size of the digi images in order to vary your designs. If you go to the ATS Blog, you can see that Julie's sample and mine have the same images, but Julie's sentiment is larger. I decided to print mine smaller so I could use my oval punches. I also could have printed it larger to have it be the inside sentiment or a large focal image. Pretty cool, huh?

Here are a couple of tips I've discovered for working with the digi images:

1) The cardstock I use when printing digi images is Georgia Pacific white cardstock, purchased at Walmart. SU! Whisper White is too smooth, and the ink will smear when the image is colored.

2) You don't need fancy photo editing software in order to use the images. I have an HP printer, so I just opened my files with the HP photo managing program. After choosing to print, I then decided which paper size I wanted. For the daffodil image, I chose the Wallet size (9 to a page), but only printed one image per sheet. For the sentiment, I chose the Contact Sheet (33 to a page), again printing only one image. To print larger images, I could have chosen the 3x5, 4x6 or larger -- you get the idea.

Give the digi images a try -- you just might find that you really like them! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow with the MFT Who's That Girl Challenge!

Have a great day!

Another Review Preview!

Happy Friday, everyone! It's been a busy week for the ATS team! We have another "Review Preview" of a recently released set, and this time it's Kisses and Hugs. I colored the little Cupid Bear with Copics and I sponged around the edge of the image circle. I added some Stickles to the halo and wings. The paper is from the Quite Smitten collection by My Minds Eye. I covered a chipboard heart with more MME paper, and I stamped the sentiment directly on it. The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Look at this little Flamingo -- isn't he so cute? Christine just released him as a digital image! Yesterday she released all of her C.C. Designs images as Digi Images -- now is the time to try them out! Don't worry -- you can still get them in rubber, but it's fun to have so many options! :)

I colored him with Copics, then I painted him with Opal Shimmerz. He is so perfectly paired with this BasicGrey Sugared paper! The sentiment is from AmyR's set Love Sentiments. I used my Cuttlebug again for the background, this time with the Heart Blocks embossing folder.

I have a busy weekend ahead -- My friend Traci and I are co-chairing a fundraiser tomorrow, so I won't have anything to share here. I'm not sure how I got any stamping done at all this week -- I think I just needed to relieve some stress! ;) The fundraiser is for Malia's CORD Foundation, which funds research to cure pediatric spinal cord tumors. Malia's mother is Traci's cousin, so that's how we became involved! If you get a second, say a little prayer for the success of the fundraiser! :)

I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend, and I hope you get some stamping time, too! Thank you so much for visiting today!

Have a great Friday!

Paper Pleasing Encouraging Verses

Happy Friday, everyone! This morning it's -6 degrees F (-18 wind chill) outside. I am dreading taking Caroline to school in a little while! But for now, I'm here with a hot cup of coffee and a very warm robe! :)

Here is a card I made with one of the Paper Pleasing Encouraging Verses available at All That Scraps. There are seven digi images in the set, and they are beautiful! This was a quick and easy card to make. After printing out the verse on cardstock, I matted it and added just a couple embellishments. I wanted the focus to be on the verse, so I didn't do a lot to the card. All the paper was from my scrap box -- it was so much easier to find now that I organized my scraps! :)

That's all for today! Tomorrow I'll have pics of my new space -- I hope you'll stop back! Thanks for the visit today -- have a great Friday!

Stay warm!
