It's Digital Designs Day at MFT!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today My Favorite Things is releasing a new digi paper pack and several new templates, so we're celebrating with a Digital Designs Day! If you haven't tried anything digital, now's the time!

Here's what's new:
Halloween Dotty Papers
Bird House Template
Full Circle Treat Box Template
All-Season Wagon Template
Pumpkin Box Template

I used the Pumpkin Box Template and the Halloween Dotty Papers to make my first project. I made the box and tag out of Fossil cardstock. I also printed the orange dotty pattern onto Fossil cardstock and cut strips for the box and tag. I inked all the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink. On the pumpkin top, instead of using the scalloped circle in the template, I used My Favorite Felt and one of the flowers from the Die-namics Perfect Petal Trio.

The image and sentiment on the tag are from Tiny Town Halloween. The scallop was cut with the Die-namics Small Scallop Border. I finished the tag with a couple of Neutral Baby Braddies.

I again used the Fossil Cardstock, Halloween Dotty Papers and Tiny Town Halloween to make this clean and simple Halloween card.

The MFT DT has more digital fun to share with you! Head over to Kim's Blog after 11 am for a list of all the designers participating in Digital Designs Day! :)

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Boot-iful Halloween!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! With summer winding down, I'm already thinking about fall -- and that means Halloween! I made this card with the Bootiful Boots Cling Set from Stampendous, available at Stamper's Dream.

I paper pieced the boots and applied some Glitzy Glitter to the buckles. I inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink -- it's been my go-to ink for sponging lately! I tied a big ol' bow with some striped May Arts ribbon, and I tied some black burlap string through the button.

I finished the inside with the sentiment from the set and some fun stitching!

I REALLY wish fall weather would get here soon -- it's been near 100 degrees this week! I guess I just need to stay inside my air conditioned house and stamp! :)

I hope you are staying cool where you are -- thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

ATS Challenge: Tall Card

Hi there! Happy Wednesday to you! I'm STILL subbing, and I'm still trying to get a grip on my schedule! LOL! I did sneak in some stamping time last night, because I wanted to make a card for this week's ATS Challenge. The challenge is to make a tall card. This one is 6.5" tall and 3.5" wide.

I used this adorable Witch Emma, and the paper is BasicGrey Eerie. I colored the image with Copics, then I cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals. I embellished with ribbon, button, twine, brads, and Drippy Goo punch.

Guess what? The ATS challenges have a new home! You can find them on the new ATS Challenge Blog. Each Wednesday a new challenge will be posted, and you can link your own cards to the challenge posts! I hope you all will check out the samples and play along with us!

That's all for today! I'm off to begin another day with second graders -- I'm really going to miss them when their teacher returns! She's been really ill, so say a little prayer for her!

Thank you so much for visiting today! I'm always glad when you stop by!

Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)

The Boo Crew!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Have you heard the news? Today My Favorite Things has released a line of Digital Stamps! Many of your favorite MFT images are now available as digi images -- and there's a brand spankin' new Halloween image by Stephanie Fizer! It's available individually or as part of the Boo Crew Digi Kit! The kit includes the image, sentiment sheet, tag sheet, poem, instructions, and project idea sheet -- all for $5.95! It's perfect for "BOOing" your neighbors and friends! I used the kit to make this "Boo Bucket" and card.

I used the tree from Too Cute to Spook and added some googly eyes to mimic this fun Bo Bunny Boo Crew paper. I stamped the spider border from Ghoulish Label Set around the sentiment before cutting it out. The ribbons are from the Halloween Collection Ribbon Nest.

How cute is this Boo Crew image?!? I colored with Prismacolor Pencils blended with Turpenoid.

The inside of the card has the poem which is included in the kit. It prints out 4 poems per sheet. I stamped the spider from Ghoulish Label Set and machine stitched a web.

Can you tell I had a blast making this project? I can't wait to surprise our neighbors! :)

You have to check out this kit and all the new digi stamps HERE!! So fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I appreciate it so much!

Have a great day! :)

ATS Friday Review: Autumn Sugarplums

Hello there! TGIF!! Today's ATS Friday Review is of the newly-released Autumn Sugarplums stamps. This is Mummy Trevor -- isn't he just SO cute? I had fun using my new BasicGrey Eerie paper (best Halloween paper EVER!) and Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch.

I fussed and fussed over where to place a sentiment, so I finally just gave up. I finished the inside of the card, so I can stamp a sentiment there when I send it!

Stop by the ATS Blog later on today to see what the other girls have created with these adorable Sugarplums images! :)

The weekend is finally here -- I hope you have plans to enjoy it! it's been raining like crazy for a few days now, and we're in for a couple more days of it, so it might be a cozy weekend of stamping for me! :)

Thanks for stopping by today -- have a fantastic Friday!

Heavy Metal!

Happy Thursday, everyone! Joanne is this week's My Favorite Challenge hostess, and the challenge is to use metal -- embossing powders, embellishments, containers, whatever! I created this tin full of chocolates for my sample.

I filled the Rectangular Window Tin with Hershey Nuggets (wrapped in silver -- more metal!). The images on the label are from the Ghoulish Label set. I cut out the tombstones, gave them some color with Copics, and popped them up on dimensionals. I distressed the edges of the cardstock layers. The ribbon is from the Halloween Ribbon Nest, and the metal brads are from the just-released September Kit. The paper is Boo Crew by Bo Bunny, and the colored cardstock is from SU!.

I'm happy to have a head-start on my Halloween treats! I think I'll make some more of these for the girls' teachers! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Halloween Candy

Happy Saturday! I have another All That Scraps preview for you today -- this time it's the new C.C. Designs set called Halloween Candy. I'm not a fan of scary Halloween images, and that's why I love the stamps in this set. This little treak-or-treater is so cute and so happy! :)

I colored with Copics (no surprise there, huh?). I just love this Bo Bunny Boo Crew paper -- the colors are so much fun! I did some machine stitching around the paper panels, and I sponged around the image and sentiment with SU! Only Orange ink.

Be sure to stop by the ATS Blog to see more samples of the new sets. They will be released Monday, September 7, at 10 pm. Tomorrow all of us on the ATS Design Team will have a Blog Hop to show you all the adorable Autumn Sugarplums images being released! I hope you'll check it out!

Today is a big day -- it's my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary, and there's a party tonight! Their seven children and spouses, 18 grandchildren, and lots of family and friends will be there to celebrate with them! I can't wait! :)

Thanks for visiting today -- I appreciate it so much!

Have a wonderful day!

My Favorite Challenge: MFT Colors

Happy Thursday, everyone! This week's My Favorite Challenge is to use the MFT Colors -- Pink, Black and White -- on your project. For my sample I used the just-released MFT set Too Cute to Spook, illustrated by Stephanie Fizer.

I embossed the background paper with the D'vine Swirls folder to mimic the curls in the tree branches. I paper pieced the little witch's dress. The image is cut out and popped up on dimensionals.

I have some All That Scraps samples to show you this weekend -- the release is Monday, September 7. I know it will be a busy few days, since it's the holiday weekend here in the US, but I hope you'll stop by! Thanks for taking the time to visit today! :)

Hey, Party Girls... You're Invited!

Hi there! You've come to my stop on the MFT Spooktacular September Blog Hop! If you didn't start at Kim's Blog, go back -- I'll wait! ;)

As Kim mentioned, one of us has some BLOG CANDY to give away... but that someone is a secret! She won't even reveal her identity during the Blog Hop, so you'll have to leave a comment at EACH post along the way if you want to win! The Blog Candy winner (and the secret Blog Candy giver) will be revealed during the Release Party tomorrow (Wednesday) night at the MFT Member Company Forum.

Okay, now for my project! You're invited to devilishly good evening... and your invitation is in the mail! :) I used the set Party Girl (illustrated by Amanda Baird) to alter this tin mailbox. I colored with Copics and cut out the images. I printed out the invitation, then I stamped the sentiment on the top. I thought it would be a fun way to invite friends to a Halloween get-together!

You're finished at my stop -- now check out what devilish fun Kathy Daume' has cooked up for you! I'm sure it's fabulous! :)

Thanks for hopping by!

Creepy Crawlies!

Hello, everyone! Today I have my first MFTeaser of September's sets! I'm sorry there's no Sunday Supper recipe -- but my project IS food related! ;)

My Favorite Things is releasing five new sets Wednesday, September 2. Here's a look at Ghoulish Label Set. It's perfect for packaging all those Halloween treats!

I covered this wooden box with Cosmo Cricket Haunted paper, then I sanded and inked all the edges. I stamped the gooey drippy label image then stamped the spiders over it. I popped the sentiment up on dimensionals. For the tag, I stamped the sentiment ("I'll keep an eye out for you") and eye image, then I punched it out with a 1 3/8" circle punch. It's mounted on a scallop circle punch and tied on with black hemp twine. The bag is filled with gummy worms -- the perfect creepy crawlies! :)

Stop back tomorrow for another MFTeaser! Then on Tuesday evening at 10 pm Eastern we'll have the Release Blog Hop! And, of course, the fun continues with the Release Party Wednesday, September 2, from 8-10 pm on the MFT Member Company Forum. There will be chatting, more MFTeasers, and the winner of the MFT Kit Challenge will be announced!

That's all for now! I hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!

The paper is Haunted by Cosmo Cricket. I embellished with a big bow and a pumpkin jingle bell -- quick and easy! :)

I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Thanks so much for visiting today!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, everyone! Here are the treat bags I made for Caroline's preschool class. I used all SU! supplies, and they were pretty quick and easy to make! I kept them simple, since they ARE for four-year-olds, you know? :) I stapled the toppers in the middle and covered the staples with the scalloped circles.

I think they make a fun arrangement all together in this basket! These will go in the children's bags to take home today, so hopefully they can enjoy looking at them a little while before they tear them open! LOL

I hope you have a fun and safe Halloween night! Thanks so much for visiting today -- have a fantastic day and evening! :)

ATS Challenge: Mini Pizza Box

Happy Wednesday! Today's ATS Challenge is to make a Mini Pizza Box. This was a Technique Challenge at SCS a few weeks ago, and I didn't get a chance to do it then, so I'm glad Jen chose it for our challenge this week! The instructions from Jen del Muro can be found on the SCS Challenge thread HERE.

I kept this simple but fun. I let this great Hallowhimsy paper do most of the work for me! I just added a tag made with images from Spooky Spooky Spooky by C.C. Designs.

The greeting is on the inside of the box. I used an image and sentiment from Sugarplum Halloween. I filled the box with chocolate squares -- it's a Halloween treat for Caroline's preschool teacher! :)

Play along with us! Use keyword ATSDTC24 when uploading to a gallery. All the challenge projects can be found in the Wednesday Challenge Gallery at All That Scraps. Check out the ATS Blog later today to see more challenge projects from the Design Team!

Thank you so much for visiting today -- I always appreciate it!! Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)

A Halloween Treat Container

Happy Wednesday! It's time for another ATS Wednesday Challenge. Today's challenge is to make halloween treats.

I decided to make a little pouch to hold some m&ms. I started with a 11" x 4.25" piece of SU! Kiwi Kiss Cardstock. I scored it at 5" and 6", then I scored 1" from the end to make the flap. I stamped the eyes on the flap and cut a window with my Circle Nestabilities. I then embossed the front panel with my Cuttlebug and D'vine Swirls embossing folder. I sponged Basic Black ink on the embossing and around the edges. I colored the images from Spooky Spooky Spooky with Copics, cut them out, and mounted them on dimensionals. Then I added some googly eyes to the spider!

I used a medium flat cello bag from SU! to hold the m&ms. I cut a little bit off the top, filled it, then I folded it over and stapled it closed. I used double-stick tape to attach the bag to the inside of the front panel of the pouch. I punched two holes in the flap and tied some black hemp twine to the top.

This would be a perfect size treat for the kids to take to school for their classmates! It would even be a fun surprise for the mail carrier or bus driver! :)

If you want to play along, use keyword ATSDTC21 when uploading to a gallery. All the Wednesday Challenge projects can be found in the ATS Gallery HERE. All the Challenges are listed in the ATS forum HERE -- play along with any one at any time! :)

That's all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic day! :)

Witchy Treats

Happy Friday! Today I'm doing another "review preview" of a newly released C.C. Designs set -- this time, it's Sugarplum Halloween. I used Witchy Olivia to make a treat bag. I love this project because it's EASY. Projects don't have to be complicated to be fun. The right combination of colors and images is all you need. I let the colors in the m&ms do most of the work for me! I simply made a topper with SU! Ghostly Greetings paper, scalloped the edges, stapled the sides, tied the ribbon around, and attached Olivia and the sentiment.

I colored Olivia with Copics and paper pieced her cape with more Ghostly Greetings paper. I cut her out and attached her to the topper with dimensional foam. The sentiment is also attached with dimensionals. That's it -- fun and easy! :)

It's time to go blog-hopping again! Head over to the ATS Blog to see which of my Design Teammates have a project with this set. One of them has a $5 gift certificate to All That Scraps to give away!

Have a great day, everyone -- I'm so glad you stopped by! The weekend is here -- enjoy! :)

ATS Wednesday Challenge: Pop-Up Cards

Happy Wednesday! Today's ATS Wednesday Challenge is to make a pop-up card. There are lots of ways to make a pop-up card -- Jen has links to some of the SCS pop-up tutorials on the challenge post HERE.

I used the C.C. Designs sets Spooky Spooky Spooky for the card front and Spooky Scene for the inside. The inside sentiment is from Sugarplum Halloween. I used my Circle Nestabilities for the image and matting. I colored with Copics and sponged around the white circles with More Mustard ink.

Here's the inside of the card. This is probably the easiest way to make a pop-up! Starting from the card fold, I cut two slits about 1" long. I opened the card and pushed the tab inward. I glued Baby Ghost below the fold, and he stands up when the card is opened!

Play along with the challenge and try a pop-up card! You can find other samples on the ATS Blog and in the Wednesday Challenge section of the ATS Gallery. If you upload a card for the challenge, use keyword ATSDTC19.

Guess what? Tomorrow Christine is having a special release of a new C.C. Designs set -- it's an adorable set full of bubbly fun!! I hope you'll stop back to see it! Thanks so much for the visit today -- I always love hearing from you! Have a great day! :)

It's All About the Shoes!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I have a fun card to share with you today. I made it for Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Challenge to stamp in the style of Jennifer Buck (JenniB04). Jennifer is one of the newest SCS Dirty Dozen, and she has a clean, cute and classy style! I got lost in her blog posts -- she is SO talented! I decided to CASE Jennifer's card from THIS post. I created this Halloween card with a Michaels $1 stamp and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

I'm a big fan of clean and cute cards -- I often stamp that way myself! The paper and images did most of the work here, and I just added some flowers, ribbon and fibers. I'm really happy with the way it turned out!

That's it for today! Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you have a great day planned -- enjoy! :)

A Review Preview!

Hello! Happy Friday to you! I have a little "Review Preview" of Spooky Spooky Spooky, one of the newly released sets by C.C. Designs. This image of Lucky just cracks me up! I colored Lucky and the bat with Copics, then I cut out the bat and mounted it on the corner. I sponged the edges of the image panel with Elegant Eggplant ink. I used my Cuttlebug and D'vine Swirls embossing folder on the background paper. The glittery chipboard stars are from a halloween Glitterz pack by Junkitz -- I picked it up at my LSS a while back.

Here's a closer look...

Head over to the ATS Blog to see which of my Design Teammates have made other projects with this set. One of them has a $5 gift certificate to All That Scraps to give away, so do a little blog hopping to find it!

Also, see THIS POST by Christine. Her daughter's teacher was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, so Christine is donating 5% of all orders placed today to the Chattanooga Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure. It's a great time to order those items on your wish list!

I had planned to make and post a sample for this week's ATS Wednesday Challenge, but time got away from me! You can see DT samples on the ATS Blog HERE, or you can see all the challenge uploads at the ATS Gallery HERE. We'd love to have you play along at any time -- all the ATS Challenges can be found HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting today! I'm so glad you stopped by! Have a great day! :)
