CASEing Bar!
I CASEd (copied) Bar's card HERE. I changed the accent color, sentiment, and Cuttlebug folder. I took my white craft ink and swiped it against the embossed hearts. There are two scored lines at the bottom, above the sentiment. The ribbon, button, and sentiment are all from My Favorite Things. The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about You, the Triple Scoop set of the month.
That's it for today! I'm subbing today -- 8th grade! I think I'll be needing some stamping time this afternoon! ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

No Electricity!
Anyway, I'm here at Chris's office, getting laundry done and catching up on computer stuff, so I thought I'd sneak in a quick post. I made this card early yesterday before the storm hit. It's for the Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS. This week's FS is lazylizard. I CASEd her card shown HERE. I changed the colors and images, and I added some layers, ribbon, and a Cuttlebug background.
The images are from First Fruits by Papertrey Ink. It is a gorgeous set, full of autumn and Thanksgiving images and sentiments. I created the "patterned paper" on the corners by stamping repeatedly with one of the images in the set. On the corners and the image panel I did a lot of rock-and-rolling. I really like how it turned out!
That's all I have for now! I don't know when I'll get more stamping in or when I'll get back on the computer, so I hope you'll check back with me! Thanks so much for stopping by -- I hope to be posting again soon! :)
Stamps: First Fruits (Papertrey Ink) Ink: Kiwi Kiss, More Mustard, Really Rust (SU!) Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, More Mustard, Really Rust, Whisper White (SU!) Other: Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain, Earth Elements brads, horizontal slot punch, stamping sponge (SU!); Cuttlebug, Leafy Branches embossing folder (Provo Craft); dimensional foam

Featured Stamper... and a Tag!
I don't usually get stamping time on Sunday, but I actually had a chance to do some yesterday while the rest of the family was out and about. I checked out the SCS Featured Stamper, and I was thrilled to see that it was Jessie Rone (knightrone). I am a BIG fan of her work, and her gallery is full of eye candy! I CASEd Jessie's card HERE, and I created this:
I kept the same layout but changed the images, colors, and papers. I embellished with different ribbons, and I used Primas instead of the jumbo brads Jessie used. The image is Karen Stolper's Gifty Girl by American Art Stamp, and the sentiment is from the Sugarplum Sentiment Set by C.C. Designs. I colored the image with Copics and sponged Old Olive ink around the panel. I also added some piercing. The paper is Cupcake by BasicGrey.
If you get the chance, check out Jessie's gallery or her blog (the link is on my blogroll). You won't be disappointed, I promise! :)
Before I go, I wanted to say that I've been tagged! Others have tagged me before, and I'm embarrassed to say that I don't always get a chance to answer the questions or pass on the tag -- I'm sorry!!! I DO appreciate the tags and awards, I just forget to add them to my posts until it's too late!!! While typing up this post, I happened to remember that Keri Sereika had just tagged me last week -- so I'll finally get to answer the questions!
Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who “tagged” you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know your entry is posted on your blog.
Here are six random things about me. You may or may not find them interesting, but here goes!
1. I am "Chris"tina and my husband is "Chris"topher -- Chris & Chris. It was funny at first, but not so much anymore! ;)
2. I sang in a band when I was in high school. Pat Benatar, Blondie, Heart -- 80's stuff. That seems like another life ago...
3. I have four children. My oldest two are two years apart, then a seven-year gap, then two more who are two years apart. So, now I have two in high school, one first-grader and a preschooler. Do you understand now why I stamp?!?!?
4. I am the oldest of three children, and I'm also the oldest grandchild on both sides. My youngest cousin on my mom's side is only three years older than my son. They were in high school together last year!
5. I'm a teacher by profession, although I'm a SAHM now. I graduated with a double major (Elementary and Special Education) from Xavier University, then received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University. I tutor part-time now, but I think I'll end up back in the classroom someday!
6. My favorite number is 16. My birthday is December 16, Chris's is January 16, we were engaged on June 16, married the following June 16, and Anna's birthday is November 16. I was due with Kyle on September 16 (his bday is the 22nd), went into labor with Megan on August 16 (her bday is the 17th), and had Caroline on December 15th at 9:30 pm (we missed sharing a bday by 2.5 hours!).
Okay, that's probably more than you ever wanted or needed to know about me! Thanks so much if you're still reading! ;) I can't choose just 6 people, so you all can consider yourself tagged!!!
Thank you for visiting today -- I hope you have a great day!

Featured Stamper Challenge
On Sundays Splitcoaststampers has a Featured Stamper Challenge, where one of the SCS stampers has her/his gallery featured. The challenge is to CASE (copy) one of the cards, making a couple changes to the original. This week's FS is Lauraly (Laurie Schmidlin). I am a BIG fan of her work -- her blog link is in the list of my favorites on the right. I chose this card to CASE. I used different patterns of the BasicGrey Romani paper and SU! Almost Amethyst & Very Vanilla cardstock. The stamp sets used are Simply Said and Sincere Salutations, both SU!. Laurie used the same sets, but I chose a different sentiment. I used Pumpkin Pie and Real Red Classic ink.
I ran the paper through my Cuttlebug with the Bloom Dots A2 embossing folder (Provo Craft). I love the added dimension it gives. The ribbon is from the retired SU! Flirty Ribbon Originals. The ovals were punched out with Marvy Uchida Mega Oval & Giga Scalloped Oval Punches. I added glitter glue (Selwyn Industries) to the Romani paper and around the scallops. For the gem in the middle of the stamped flower, I couldn't find exactly what I needed -- I came across this jewel sticker in Anna's stash of art supplies! Sometimes the five-year-olds have the coolest stuff! :) The scalloped oval is mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals.
I hope I did justice to Laurie's original card -- it was a fun card to CASE! Check out her gallery -- she's an amazing stamper!!
