Hope you checked your zoning laws. I miss my chickens so much. They really become like your pets.

No way! You have to tell me about this! You know we have been with chicks since February, but we purchased nearly grown hens. The girls are dying to raise peeps, but I'm scared they would all get gobbled up with the predators around here. We plan to build more of a perm "chicken yard" for them along with building the house (which we are starting soon...yay!).

They are so adorable! Even cuter in person! Thanks for letting Julia come play with them (oh, and Audrey too, of course) yesterday. ;)

We'd love to do that someday!

How exciting! I desperately want chickens, but am a little worried about the hawks in our small town. Does your new home boast a hen house in the back?

A little known fact about me--I used to raise chickens for 4-H. I actually had the grand champion Bantam one year. The picture of me with my champion chicken is hideous--they caught me mid-blink, my zipper on my pants is down, and I am wearing a bandana as a belt. Memories.
