Motels - 1980 Bradford University

I remember visiting Berlin in 1980 (enclosed by a wall then) with my actual girlfriend Dorothe. Standing at the train station, expecting a long-haired redhead hippie-friend but being welcomed by a short blue haired punk. At his home he played a record I instantly felt in love: the first Motels. When we left Berlin his goodbye gift was this longplayer, but he liked to keep he cover - so this is my sleeve of it

Well, sorry, this is a complete mess ... but a great show, I think.

Broadcasted in 3 parts in the last three weeks, the recording of the first one ended with a blue screen crash - so I only can offer the 2nd and the 3rd part I've recorded to WAV from the live broadcasting in FLAC and/or in MP3. But: Because DLF (Deutschlandfunk) had to cut some of the very long tracks it offered the whole show as .M4A so I could convert this entire show to .MP3 - which is decoding from .M4A to .WAV and then this .WAV to .MP3 ... means a loss in quality. Sorry for that

Hope you enjoy the show as well as I did.

Several songs on this one but I won't lie to you I don't know them all. Of course there is Miserlou and Banditos but if anyone would be so kind as to do a tracklist that would be great.

I own an original MSN On Air broadcast disc for this show. This is one of about 5 or 6 shows from that series that I own. I used to work at a college radio station in Chattanooga TN and nobody wanted this stuff after it was broadcast so I asked the program director if I could have them, thankfully he said yes.
