Whenever some site posts comedy records you never see this one. The other day at the gym when this came on my Mp3 player I nearly had to stop my workout cause I was laughing so hard. I love this guy. Last I heard he's a manager at a Burger King in Duluth. Does anybody know where he's at today. OK I'll get back to posting more bargain bin CD's shortly.  See Scans

Phil Austin - Roller Maidens From Outer Space (1974)

Phil Austin (Firesign Theatre)
Roller Maidens From Outer Space - 1974
Studio recordings @128

Phil Austin's surrealist tour de force from 1974 is a deft and delirious combination of radio theater and country-tinged rock music. The story mixes multiple genres from TV, radio and movies (religious telethons, situation comedies, noir mysteries, gender-bending science fiction) in a hilarious gumbo of cultural references, word play and catchy tunes. Of particular note is the clever manner in which the song lyrics are integrated in with, and play off of, the storyline. Among the voice talent featured on this album are fellow Firesign members Peter Bergman and David Ossman.

2. C'mon Jesus (3:40)
