This was my chance in 1979 to see the band live and this show impressed me in two aspects: it was a hell of a, no second wasted, pure energy. I was in heaven then. I remember Snowy White on stage but i'm not sure, if there also was Gary Moore too aside of Phil Lynott.
2nd aspect: we left the venue (as far as i remember, it was werner goldi balzert who took me with him that day) quietly, no words to express what we just saw - and went to a pizzeria.
Goldi was the guy who organized for Unikult Saarbrücken very great shows those days and often engaged me to work there as a roadie for ie. Ultravox!, Eddie & The Hot Rods, Dr. Feelgood, Steve Hillage, Steel Pulse to name a few, when they were young & hot. Some "archivalia" on him and Unikult to be found here
There at the pizzeria the guy who came to our table with the menu card opened his mouth and made some funny movements but stayed silent - i thought "Is he joking me??". But than i realized, i was completely deaf (don't panic, just for some times). Never made that experience before or after. Seems they were the loudest band i ever heard (well, i missed Grand Funk Railroad ... in their better days when one of their shows was noted as "earthquake")
