Magical Birthday

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a magical birthday card!

I had this one round shaped pair of glasses from the Eyeglass Brads set sitting on my desk and had a DUH moment, thinking of making it into a magical birthday card for my Potter-loving son!! His birthday isn't for a while, but I know he has other friends who are into the books too, so I figure it's always good to have a stash on hand!!

I paired it with some star washi from the Eyelet Outlet Store. I used the beautiful Black and Gold Foil Washi and some wide star washi tape to create my background. I love how simple it was to put together the background and how the gold and black just pops off the page!

Super fun magical birthday card!! I loved being able to use up some beautiful washi too!! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Christmas In July With Eyelet Outlet - Week 3

Welcome back to Christmas in July, friends!  I've got a couple of more tags for you today.  First up, I'm using Eyelet Outlet's brand new pony brad.  I expect to use this tag on my little granddaughter's gift this Christmas, since she LOVES horses!  I don't know yet what her gift will be, but I'm certain it won't be a pony!  LOL!  I've also used one of our Holly Brads and Snowflake Brads to dress up the corners of my tag.

Next up, a fun tag for the gift you're giving that you're not so sure about!  I've used a recycling image from Cricut's "Chore Chart" cartridge with a few strategically placed Enamel Arrows.  Eyelet Outlet has lots of different enamel shapes in many colors.  Check them all out in our "Enamel Shapes" collection.

I'm glad you came by today and be sure to come back next Thursday.  I'll be wrapping up my Christmas in July posts with a freebie for the Cricut crafters!  Until next week, keep crafting!

What's Brewing?

Generally, at my (Lauren's) house "What's Brewing" is coffee or tea, but it occurred to me the other day when I saw that sentiment in our Coffee Stamp set, that *beer* is also brewed. You may know that Beer Brads and a coordinating set of Beer Stamps were part of the newest release in May. But it's entirely possible to use the former without the latter, so of course I had to make a couple of cards to celebrate!

My first card could not be more simple: Beer Brads and the "brewing" sentiment inside a label shape, on a great coordinating piece of ledger style paper, and a few coordinating washi tapes (Love Tape and this fab Skinny Plaid that I adore) are really all you need!

I confess that I have been wanting this Pizza Tape since I first saw it, but held out because I honestly wasn't sure what to do with it. Once I saw the Beer Brads, however, it seemed like a match made in heaven. The "Everything I Brew..." sentiment is also from the Coffee Stamp set, but again, it multitasks really well here. I set off the sentiment panel with some teeeeeeeny but truly useful 1/16" Mini Round Brads in the corners.

I hope you'll be inspired to think of alternate ways to use your own EO Clear Stamps, and that you'll brew up some creative cards of your own.

has to confess that she enjoys beer more
in brad form than as a beverage.

On Pointe

Hello everyone!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards with you today.

This blog post is as close as I've ever gotten to pointe shoes, but I sure had fun making these ballet themed cards using Eyelet Outlet products.  Either of these would be perfect for the ballerina in your life.

First, we have a pair of pointe shoes cut from cardstock and covered in Bright Pink Glitter Washi Tape.  They're attached to an oval of white and surrounded by Pearl Bling.  I left the inside blank as I wasn't sure how I wanted to use it.  Just waiting for the right occasion; from dance recital to party invitation to birthday.

I don't know about you, but my eyes aren't as good as they once were and my hands aren't as steady, so I helped myself with the placement of the pearls by printing a template on my patterned paper.
This next card is just tutu cute for words!  I love that it's dimensional made sensational the Fancy Long Zig Zag Bling and Clear Swirl Bling as well as Pink Checkered Washi Tape on the tutu and Hard Wood Washi Tape for the floor.

I snipped a piece of the zigzag bling to use it as adornment for the tutu.  Several jewels were colored with a Copic marker as an accent.  If you rotated this bling 180 degrees, it would make a perfect crown for a princess.  The row of jewels above was cut from the Swirl Bling.

I added the washi tape to the bottom section of the tutu and, to keep the edges from pulling away, I ran a thin line of Nuvo Drops across the edge.

I intended to make this a birthday card but opted to leave my options open for how to use it.
Both cards were made using cut files purchased in the Silhouette store.  Making them reminded me of the saying I saw some time ago, "Life without ballet is pointeless."

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a bright and fun birthday card!

I started with these Bright Balloon Brads (say that three times fast!) and found that they matched perfectly with this Wide Dot Washi Tape! Super perfect match!! So I decided to add them to my card as a bunch of balloons this adorable penguin is holding!

Pair that with a sweet and simple birthday sentiment and add another balloon brad, and done! Love this bunch of balloons... such beautiful colors!!

Keep Trucking!

So, the big question of the day is... have you been to the Eyelet Outlet online store yet to check out the clear stamp sets? If not... RUN (or get in your "truck") and head over there quickly. There are some pretty fun stamp sets there.

Stamp sets like this one--------------------------------->>>

Oh the places we can go with this Trucks stamp set. I've already made three cards with this set.

And my personal favorite of the three...
Thought You Could Use a Little Pick-Up

Why is it my favorite?
I love the fact that the Police have pulled over Little Red Truck
but he Keeps on Smiling anyway!

Now, as we think of trucks - or cars, SUVs, or whatever you drive, you might want to check out the list of Stamping Expos in the right side bar and see if there is one close to you. If so, head on over and find the Eyelet Outlet booth where you will be able to purchase all kinds of Eyelet Outlet products.

Eggs to my Bacon

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a fun mini-card set!

I used one of the cutest brad sets, the Breakfast Bacon, Eggs, and Toast Brads. This time I used only the eggs and bacon brads for these mini 3x3 cards because they were a perfect fit with this sentiment!! Eyelet Outlet makes these adorable Breakfast Clear Stamps that would work perfectly with these brads too, but I haven't had a chance to get my hands on them yet!! So I made it work with what I had on hand!!

Love this little set of cards... Perfect for lunch box notes too!! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

The Merry Days

Happy Saturday! This is Rebecca, and this morning I’m continuing the Christmas in July theme. But this time I did it without using any Christmas themed products!

I used all Eyelet Outlet items to create the banner:
Bling Strips (to make the letters in “merry”)
Dog Bone Quicklets (on sale!)
Pearl Bling (multi size)

I didn’t set the eyelets. Instead, I just threaded them onto the twine and put the banner pieces on foam so it was the same height as the eyelets. I secured the bones in the corners with small glue dots. I love the result!

Long Haul Friends

TGIF crafty friends!  Susie here with a friendship card featuring one of our new stamp sets!

I really love the opportunity to come up with a masculine themed card and the new Truck Stamp set made that super easy!

Being from the south I know that pickup trucks are for ladies, too, however I just loved creating a "buddies" card. I stamped and watercolored the images before adding the pick up truck brad.

And you have to make the inside as cute as the outside, right?  I used Tire Track Washi tape to create a border, stamped off a few pick up trucks, and then added another flashy red pickup in the bottom right!

You can find all 16 of the new stamp sets HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!  Susie

First Responder Birthday

Hi Friends! kel here today to share a birthday card for a special little boy!

My kids are gearing up to go back to school in just a few short weeks so I wanted to start prepping some birthday cards for them to give away because I inevitably end up needing them!! My youngest is still obsessed with vehicles of all types, especially emergency ones so these First Responder Brads ended up being perfect to make a card with!! In fact, he wants to keep it so I might need to make another if he won't give it back lol!!

I also added some fun washi tape to the bottom of the card. This Road Washi Tape is just the perfect complement to these (or any vehicle) brads, and I thought that this Red Dot Washi Tape finished the bottom of the card really nicely! The last thing I did was add some Yellow Glitter Enamel Dots to the bottom corner of the card to balance out that yellow "hooray" sentiment.

Super fun preschooler's birthday card!! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!
