You're Just Drunk!

Sometimes we all need to just have a good chuckle and this card does just that. When I saw this stamp, I had to get it. I haven't used it yet because I was waiting for the right moment and the right inspiration. When Eyelet Outlet came out with these brand-new Liquor Brads, I knew this was the exact time to debut the stamp.

In creating this card, I layered several pink and purple cardstock pieces on top of a unicorn themed cardstock as the base.

The middle of the card has the stamped sentiment that says, “Life is not a fairy tale. If you lose your shoe at midnight, you're drunk!” How absolutely hilarious is that…because it’s true!

The sentiment is surrounded by two of the new Liquor Brads along with a spilled wine glass from the Wine Brads.

The bow on the shoe is detailed with a section of the Fancy Long Bling.

The outside of the card is highlighted with four Heart Bumpy Bling.

I hope you got a chuckle out of this card as much as I did.

Oh, and by the way, if you happen to see my lost shoe, please send it back to me.

Here Comes The Bride!

Do you need a elegant bridal themed card for a bridal shower or wedding?

Sometimes it is fun to think outside the box! And that was my inspiration for using the paper flowers to create a bridal skirt! After embossing the bride's bodice and fussy cutting it out. I cut and added the fancy long bling to the waist line and then began adding white paper flowers for the skirting. Embellishing with jewels from the jewel strips. Lastly, I adhered my creation on a background I created using the wide romantic washi called floral nostalgia wide.

I love how it turned out and I hope you do too! Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for all your crafting supplies!

EGG-stravaganza!

Do you know how many styles there are of Eyelet Outlet Pearl and Jewel Brads? Ok, as a matter of fact, I (Lauren) don't know either, but it's A LOT! They range from quite small (5.5mm) to extra large (16mm) though the biggest one shown here is the 10mm Soft Pink Pearl Brad attaching a few Paper Flowers on the medium sized egg. Meanwhile, many styles are available in both silver and gold bezels; there are smooth and bumpy styles; some have fancy edges... and by the time you factor in all of the different colors, there are literally hundreds of variations! But the most important thing for you to know about EO Pearl and Jewel Brads is that they are ALL on sale for just .75c a pack!!! The second most important thing for you to know is that they are all beautiful and useful. In this case, I've decorated Easter eggs with them:

As you can see, we also have quite a few styles of Sticky-Back Bling, as well. On this card and tag we see individual Pearls (there are Jewels as well), Bling and Pearl Strips, and several styles of Fancy Long Bling, and I've hardly scratched the surface of what is listed under "Bling and Sequins" in the EO Store. By the way, there are also FOUR styles of Eyelet Outlet Washi on this card: Bunny Tape, Chevron, Rainbow Dot Washi and my current fave: a wide, rainbow blossom-bedecked style called Flower Petal Tape, from which I have cut out individual flowers and added them with Pearl Brads to the largest egg. Of course they work for lots of other occasions besides Easter, so you should probably head over to the Eyelet Outlet Shop and browse around for a bit!

is already dreaming up more ways to use classic Pearl and Jewel Brads!

Felt Easter Banner

Lately I've been doing a lot of felt crafting with my Cricut Maker and I've found that Eyelet Outlet products pair so beautifully with felt my projects.  The texture of the felt as well as the fantastic dimension that the brads and bling bring to the project really is amazing.

Today I have a felt Easter banner for you.

This project was made entirely of felt and images in Cricut Design Space and embellished with the following Eyelet Outlet products:

Bling It On!

My granddaughter will soon be six and I wanted to make an extra special Princess themed package topper for her gift.

The little princess I used in an SVG from Miss Kate's Cuttables and her dress was the perfect opportunity for a touch of Eyelet Outlet's gorgeous Fancy Long Bling.  It's available in a few different colors, but I used the clear for this project.  I also added a few strips of Jeweled Bling Strips. Again, it's available in several colors, but I went with the clear today. I also added the Jeweled Bling Strip around the oval frame.

And what princess attire would be complete without a pink sparkling Eyelet Outlet crown brad! And just because there's always room for more bling, I added pink and clear stick on bling around the scallops of the frame.

When I make a rosette for a package topper, I always use a slider on the back to hold the rosette together.  I'm careful to apply the hot glue only to the center and that way ribbon can thread through the slits when it comes time to wrap the gift.

I think my granddaughter is going to love this pretty little princess!

Tag Time!

It's time to start thinking about Christmas and gift wrapping!  Let Eyelet Outlet help you make some of the prettiest tags under the tree for your gift giving this year!  Here's a recent tag I made to get you inspired.

I love making paper rosettes and there's an unlimited option of products at Eyelet Outlet for adorning the center of your rosettes.  Today, I'm using the 1 1/2" inch Snowflake Bling. This lovely snowflake is also available in a 2" size. Both sizes come 6 to a package.  I've also added some swirl bling to the patterned paper and for even more sparkle, I've used a small strip of Fancy Long Pearl and Jewel bling between two strips of silver glitter washi tape.

We love seeing how our Eyelet Outlet customer use our products, so we invite you to join our Eyelet Outlet Fans Facebook Group and show us your creations!

Christmas in July!

I've made several variations of Ugly Christmas Sweater cards, but one thing is for sure - when I embellish those sweaters with Eyelet Outlet products, they are definitely NOT ugly! Since the sentiment I planned to use on this card was "Tis The Season to Sparkle," I decided to embellish my card with some of Eyelet Outlet's bling.

The front of my sweater features the Holiday Flower Bling and in the corners I used Holiday Bling.  For an extra touch of sparkle, I added some clear stick on gems.  Of course, I had to hang my sweater on one of popular hanger brads and then I topped it off with a snowflake brad.

One of the things I like about posting on Thursdays is the occasional "Throw Back!"  Here's another sweater card that I made in 2017.

After embossing the face of the card with an argyle embossing folder for a real sweater feel, I added a Christmas tree embellished with some Eyelet Outlet enamel dots in various colors and sizes.  I also used some of the stunning Fancy Long Bling with Pearls and Jewels.  For the tree topper I used some Snowflake bling.

Be sure to join Eyelet Outlet and many other amazing vendors at the Virtual  Stamp & Scrapbook @ Home event on Facebook this weekend, July 11th.  We've been having lots of fun at these virtual shows and you will, too!

Happy Birthday & You're Invited

Today there are two cards that are different but share one thing in common:  bling!  Who doesn't like bling, right?

The first card entitled, "Happy Birthday", is a simple birthday card full of spring colors and flowers.  The lovely background paper (Julie Nutting) sets the tone for the card.  The lace edging (Anna Griffin) serves as the base for the beautiful Eyelet Outlet's Fancy Long Bling and the Eyelet Outlet Red Paper Flower is adorned with a jewel from the jewel strip.  (Yes, you can easily cut the Long Bling strip!)  The birthday sentiment (Lawn Fawn) is the finishing touch.

The second card entitled, "You're Invited", demonstrates another application of the Eyelet Outlet Fancy Long Bling against an array of black and grey papers (from my stash, but I think Michaels).  This version of the Fancy Long Bling features clear jewels with black beads.  The lettering (Anna Griffin Alphabets 2 die) lends to the card's sophisticated look.

Because of the dark paper background and the luxurious, linen-look silver paper, the impression is that the jewels are encrusted onto the card and it looks expensive.  (Actually, it cost $2.01 per 5x7 card and approximately $1.75 for an A2 size card as the bling is currently on sale!)

This can be any kind of invitation by changing up the papers.....milestone birthday, sweet 16 birthday, or a formal dinner party.  I had a wedding in mind while creating the card.  Note:  there is room on the card to add the appropriate die cuts; however, I wanted the invitation to be a surprise until the information was revealed on the inside of the card.

Get Well

Today's card titled, "Get Well", is an elegant card filled with well wishes and Eyelet Outlet bling!

The Fancy Long Bling (wide) Strip is elegant and elevates the card to the next level.  The Red Paper Flower serves as the focal point of the card. The flower center embellishment as well as the gemstones on the lace edge and sprinkled around the sentiment are from the Snowflake Bling - XL 2 inches. (Yes, there are scissors involved!)

The card message is simple but relevant today more than ever. This card can also be a "Thinking of You" card, a "Hello" card, or a fancy notecard!

Head on over to the Eyelet Outlet site and pick up your bling and flower supplies.  You'll love the sparkle and texture of this card, so make it yourself!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Today I'm bringing you a couple of sweet rosette angels I created in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

One  angel is beautifully embellished with Eyelet Outlet Fancy Pearl and Jewel Bling and the other with Pink Jewel Strips.

The white rosettes at the top were embellished with Eyelet Outlet Silver Glitter Washi Tape. I applied the embellishments to the rosettes before fan folding them.

And finally,  attached to each angel's sign is an Eyelet Outlet Pink Ribbon Quicklet. Text on the signs is available in the Cricut image library.  The faces on the angels are digital stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps.

Thanks for stopping in today! If you're in the Ontario, Canada area, stop by and see us in person at the Scrapbook Expo this weekend!

Girl's Night Out

Hi!  It's Kim from Katydid Cards with you today.

I remember fondly the days when I participated in girl's night out.  I still do it today, but it's become girls at the early bird special.

Here's a card that honors that time old tradition of girlfriends getting together and enjoying some quality time together.

To create this card, I used a number of brads; Shoes and Purse, Dress, and Women's Eyeglasses.  In addition, I used the beautiful Fancy Long Bling...can't have a girl's night out without bling!

I also took individual gems from the bling and placed them on the white scroll trim as a perfect accent.  Here's a closer look:

And when you open the card, this is the sentiment you see:

I hope you like my card and that it inspires you to plan a get together with your girls!

Treat Me Like a Queen

The big news this week was the royal birth. Oh my, did you see Prince Harry's announcement the day Archie was born? Adorable!

So with all the royal excitement, I decided it was time to use the BRAND NEW crown brad from Eyelet Outlet on a card. In fact, these are so new that you can't even get them in the Eyelet Outlet online store yet - soon, but not yet. They ARE available in the Eyelet Outlet booth at the trade shows, though, so be sure to check and see if there's a trade show near you. The list can be found HERE.

The Wide Washi Tape on my card is also brand new. Isn't it exciting when Eyelet Outlet gets new items in stock? I know it excites me.

Of course, every Queen needs some bling, so in addition to the Crown and the sparkly Washi Tape, I also used a bit of the Fancy Long Bling from Eyelet Outlet on my card. Glitzy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Now I just need to get one of those signs that reads:
The Queen is not accepting an audience today.

Have a Fabulous Birthday

I love flowers - tulips and daffodils are blooming in our town, a sure sign that Spring is here! The trees are blooming, too - but of course, they aren't flowers. LOL!

Because I like flowers so much, I really like Eyelet Outlet's Stitched Flower Brads! They also come in a mini version, which is just way too much fun, but the ones I've used on my card are the larger size.

In the close-up, you can see the stitching!

Of course a card needs more than flowers, so I also used Eyelet Outlet Fancy Long Bling for some sparkle and pizazz. I also added a tiny bit of Skinny Washi Tape for a bit of boldness. That black/white just makes things pop, in my opinion.

Decorating Easter Eggs Is Fun!

Oh how I love Washi Tape - I know, I've said that before. But it is so much fun that I just have to say it again and again.

Just look at these Easter Eggs:

They were made with Washi Tape!!!

I stuck strips of Washi onto heavyweight cardstock and then die cut them with an oval die. To give them some extra pizazz, I added pearls and bling. They were so easy to make, and did I mention fun? I do believe it could become addictive.

I nestled the two decorated Easter eggs into some grass and added a sentiment. The bling on the sentiment is a little piece that I trimmed off of the bling on the lefthand egg. I couldn't waste it, it was too pretty!

And like I said, egg-decorating is addictive,
so I made one for the inside of my card, too:

You'll find a WIDE variety of Washi Tape in the Eyelet Outlet Store, as well as bling and pearls to enhance the beauty of the Easter Eggs you're going to want to create!

Have fun! And come back again soon to see what else the design team has to share.
