It's the week before Easter, and here's a card featuring Eyelet Outlet Rabbit Brads and adorable Rabbit Tape; Colored Daisy Brads, a Mini Bee, Floral Square Washi and Wood Tape.
Eyelet Outlet Brads pair beautifully with all of your smaller critter stamps! For example this sweet bunny is just the right size to be friends with one of our adorable Chick Brads, while the egg stamp from the same set was perfect for creating some colorful eggs from patterned paper scraps, then adorning them with a Pastel Rabbit, a Heart Brad (with stamped carrot!) and a Stitched Flower, as well as some strips of Bunny and Carrot Washi Tape. The background features Wide Sky Washi and Zig Zag Tape.
I love celebrating Easter! I love making memories with my family, giving Easter baskets, enjoying a traditional Easter dinner, and Easter egg hunting! But, more importantly, I love basking in the reason for our celebrating! Our Risen Savior, the hope of the world for indeed He is Risen!
I love creating backgrounds using Eyelet Outlet washi tapes! This background is called "Time for Flowers" and because it is a wider style, I only needed 3 rows. Next, I created my cross using the wood washi adhered to cardstock and my purple drape from the purple washi. I added white flowers in 2 different sizes with a little shading of pink distress ink and a green jewel for embellishment. Lastly, I stamped my Easter greeting! He is Risen! Yes, He is Risen, Indeed! I love Easter and the coming of spring! I enjoyed creating a vintage, shabby chic inspired Easter card for a different take on the traditional Easter colors!
I created my background using 2 different washi tapes. One is a beautiful wide, rose, vintage-style washi and the other is a new favorite of mine, the gold script. I stamped my Happy Easter greeting and added 2 bunnies with pearl jewels for eyes. Lastly, I embellished with Easter egg brads and rose brads. I think this card has a vintage and elegant feel, yet it is simple in style and easy to replicate! I hope you enjoy!

Technically, it's still a few weeks before Spring begins, but... it's NEVER too early to start daydreaming about warm weather and flowers, right? This journal card already had some printed chicks and eggs, but there was still room for Eyelet Outlet Chick Brads, Colored Eggs and White Daisies. Pink Dot Washi Tape sets off the large and small sentiments for extra impact.
...Easter's on its way! And since Easter wouldn't be much fun without bunnies, luckily there are Eyelet Outlet Rabbi Brads, Pastel Rabbit Brads (they're on sale!) and Rabbit Tape; not to mention White Daisy Brads and Cloud Tape, which pair really well with all of the above.
I have really enjoyed creating Easter cards over the last couple weeks! This one I created is very special! It is a reflection of the true meaning of Easter! It is the reason we celebrate! He is Risen!
In creating this card, I started with stamping my multi cross background and adding distress inks to white cardstock. I then used the beautiful "time for flowers" wide washi tape for the bottom center. Since I do not have a stamp that says "He is Risen", I thought it would be fun to pull out my vintage typewriter to create the greeting label. I layered with brown cardstock and 2 paper flowers centered with a gold cross. I added several pearl bling in brown for embellishment and tied a lace ribbon around the middle and layered on a gold patterned cardstock to finish it off. I hope you enjoy!

The Eyelet Outlet Chick Brads are having an EGG-cellent adventure under Sunny skies, on a lawn made of wide Grass Washi used both flat and as a diecut border... the better for hiding Colored Egg Brads.

Hopping down the bunny trail!
Do you know how many styles there are of Eyelet Outlet Pearl and Jewel Brads? Ok, as a matter of fact, I (Lauren) don't know either, but it's A LOT! They range from quite small (5.5mm) to extra large (16mm) though the biggest one shown here is the 10mm Soft Pink Pearl Brad attaching a few Paper Flowers on the medium sized egg. Meanwhile, many styles are available in both silver and gold bezels; there are smooth and bumpy styles; some have fancy edges... and by the time you factor in all of the different colors, there are literally hundreds of variations! But the most important thing for you to know about EO Pearl and Jewel Brads is that they are ALL on sale for just .75c a pack!!! The second most important thing for you to know is that they are all beautiful and useful. In this case, I've decorated Easter eggs with them:
As you can see, we also have quite a few styles of Sticky-Back Bling, as well. On this card and tag we see individual Pearls (there are Jewels as well), Bling and Pearl Strips, and several styles of Fancy Long Bling, and I've hardly scratched the surface of what is listed under "Bling and Sequins" in the EO Store. By the way, there are also FOUR styles of Eyelet Outlet Washi on this card: Bunny Tape, Chevron, Rainbow Dot Washi and my current fave: a wide, rainbow blossom-bedecked style called Flower Petal Tape, from which I have cut out individual flowers and added them with Pearl Brads to the largest egg. Of course they work for lots of other occasions besides Easter, so you should probably head over to the Eyelet Outlet Shop and browse around for a bit!
Here's a card that's captured, in action, a couple of the Easter Bunny's helpers (aka Eyelet Outlet Rabbit Brads) hiding the Egg Brads for Sunday's upcoming festivities! They've got a lovely day for it too, thanks to some beautiful extra-wide Sky Tape, a Sun and Cloud Brad and a background made from Flower Washi.
Oddly enough, this Eyelet Outlet Easter card has NO brads on it... HOW is that even possible? Well of course I (Lauren) love our Brown Rabbit Brads and our Pastel Rabbit Brads, but there are also quite a few awesome Bunny Tapes and Rabbit Washi styles, and I've used two of them here:
I applied both styles of tape in neat strips onto plain white cardstock. Then I used two alphabet die sets (Altenew's Bold Alphas and Lawn Fawn's Henry's ABCs) to cut out the sentiment from the colorful Bunny Tape. I fussy cut five sweet little dudes from Wide Rabbit Washi to peep out from the letters of "Hoppy" and added a few pink Heart Enamel accents. I layered the whole design over a couple of strips of Pink Check Tape and called it a day.
Eyelet Outlet Pastel Rabbit Brads are one of my (Lauren's) favorite styles for Easter, and... they're on sale! I love how the five colorful bunnies add instant interest to my card, and how well they pair with the shades of EO Bright Stitched Flowers and Minis (the latter are also on sale!) Heart Brads and colorful Enamel Dots.
I used two sizes of circle punches to frame each Rabbit Brad with a few flowers, dots and hearts; but this design would work equally well with Chicks, Brown Rabbits, Colored Eggs, or pretty much ANY Eyelet Outlet brad style you love!
...Easter's on its way! But there's still time to make some super-easy cards by adding Eyelet Outlet Rabbit Brads, Colored Eggs, and Chicks to store-bought Easter-themed journal cards. But first, let's make them even more appealing by adding mats of plaid patterned paper adorned with EO Flower Washi Tape.
I (Lauren) often use Eyelet Outlet Washi Tape as a background or a border, but sometimes it's fun to use it to alter/enhance a store-bought patterned paper, like this fun plaid. I built my strips of Flower Tape right into the existing design and I love the result!
I'm always on the lookout for products which pair well with brads, and these adorable journal cards match the colors and size of EO Colored Egg Brads, Chicks, Sun and Cloud Brads, Mini Butterflies and of course the handsome Rabbit Brads very well.
Even if you have LOTS of patterned paper... (and I, Lauren, do!) ...sometimes you still don't have exactly what you want for a particular card. In this case, I wanted a text paper that said "Happy Easter" so I typed it myself! It's the perfect home for my Eyelet Outlet Rabbit Brads, whom I've given a little landscape to inhabit, by adding a Sun and Cloud Brad and a Mini Butterfly, as well as some punched grass and an oversized diecut tulip to frame up the whole thing.

Easter cards are an excellent place for puns! If you go with someBUNNY, anyBUNNY or everyBUNNY you can bring in Rabbit Brads or Pastel Rabbits. On the other hand, if you switch over to Chick Brads and bring in Colored Eggs (or ordinary Egg Brads, for that matter) that gets you even more EGG-citing, EGG-stra special, EGG-cellence, like this card! To make it into a little landscape, I've added a Sun and Cloud Brad as well as some Mini Stitched Flowers, tucked behind layers of punched grass.
