Tonic Studios Chalkboard Die & Stamp Sets - Card Share

Hello blogging friends!  Today, I have two cards to share with you using a couple of the New Chalkboard Die and Stamp Sets from Tonic Studios.  There are three sets in this collection -- Birthday Wishes, It’s Your Big Day, and Special Occasion.  These sets are prefect for card making and all of your DIY projects.

Here is a look at the first card I designed.  I used the 1099E It's Your Big Day Indulgence Chalkboard Die & Stamp Set and 485E Mixed Oval Layering from Tonic Studios.  The card base in an A2 top folding card.  I die cut the sentiment and decorative oval using white pearl shimmer paper and then I die cut the label and oval shape using black cardstock.

I rubbed a little White Pigment Ink on to the black label and then buffed off the excess ink with a paper towel.  Doing this gives the black paper a chalkboard look.  I used the Nuvo 203N Nuvo Glue Pen Medium to adhere the sentiment to the label shape.  Then I used a couple of pieces of craft foam as backing for the label and decorative oval shape.  I used the Nuvo 650N Crystal Drops Gloss - Ebony Black to embellish around the edges of the card.  The crystal drops look similar to pearls or enamel dots.

To finish off the card I added a few Wild Orchid Craft Flowers.

Other Supplies:

Accessories:  Craft Foam, Wild Orchid Craft Flowers

Here is a look at the second card I designed.  For this card I used 1098E Special Occasion Indulgence Chalkboard Die & Stamp Set and 484E Mixed Rectangles Layering Die Set.  To start I stamped the sentiments twice on to white paper with VersaMark Ink and then heat embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

I fussy cut one set of the sentiments--the top and bottom pieces of the sentiment.  Then I layered the pieces using Foam Squares.  To add a bit of color I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to do a light watercolor wash and color the tiny images--heart, flower and butterfly.  I layered the label shape on to the decorative vine label.  I also used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens on the tiny vines.  To embellish the card I added pink and aqua rhinestones.

I used the 484E Mixed Rectangles Layering Die Set to die cut a couple of layers of white, and aqua cardstock and then layered everything on to an A2 top folding card.

This week Create & Craft USA will be featuring Tonic Studios Chalkboard Die & Stamp Sets so be sure to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

JustRite Papercraft October New Release - Lasting Joy Wedding Card

Hello blogging friends!  Today, is the first day of the October JustRite Papercraft New Release.  I have a lovely wedding card to share with you using two of the New Releases.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  I stamped the beautiful frame from the CR-02199 Framed with Love Clear Stamps using VersaMark ink on to Strathmore Mixed Media paper and then I heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  Next, I used Zig Clear Color Real Brush Pens - Cobalt Blue, Pale Green, Light Green to do a very light watercolor around the frame.  I used one of the dies from Tonic Studio 587E Intrica Romantic Vine Oval to die cut the frame.  Then I stamped the sentiment from CR-02192 Grand Wedding Wishes Clear Stamps with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold.  I used one of the dies from 485E OVAL Scalloped & Straight Cut to die cut the sentiment.

Here is a close up.  I used foam tape to layer the two die cuts.  For the leaves I used 657E Royal Fern to create the die cuts and then I added some color using the Zig Clear Color Real Brush Pens.  I also added some pearl swirls and Wild Orchid Craft flowers.

Here is a close up of the couple die cut.  I used 70E Silhouette Scenes First Dance.  I love this die cut and how detailed the dress is.  I die cut the couple in white and then die cut another piece in pink.  I layered the two pieces and then fussy cut around the top of the couple to remove some of the die cut.  Next, I added Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen over the entire piece.  Then, I applied Ranger - Glossy Accents on the entire piece.  You can see some of the shimmer and sparkle in the photo but IRL it is so shimmery!  I added a couple more fern leaves and pearls around the couple.  For a finishing touch I also added a few tiny pearls for a necklace.

Please be sure to visit each of the Design Team Members in the link list below to see what they have created to share with you.

I have a couple of other posts going up in the next couple of days so please be sure to check out the JustRite Inspiration Blog to see the New Releases during the next couple of days.  I will be back on Sunday sharing more projects with the JustRite New Release.

JustRite Papercraft - Day Three Christmas Release - Christmas Blessings Card

Hello everyone!  Are you ready for day three of the JustRite Papercraft Christmas Release?  Today, I will be sharing a beautiful Christmas stamp set and a New Background Stamp.

Here is a at the beautiful stamp set CR-02178 Great Joy Clear Stamps.  Wonderful Christmas sentiments and I love the image of the angel.

This is the background stamp that I used CL-02191 Ornamental Background Stamp.  You will see in the photos that I stamped the background and then fussy cut part of the image out.

Here is the card that I designed using both the CR-02178 Great Joy Clear Stamps and CL-02191 Ornamental Background Stamp from JustRite Papercraft.  I stamped the image of the angel on to white cardstock using Memento Angel Pink ink.  Then I used VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder for the sentiment.  I created a couple of die cuts using Classic Ovals Large for the sentiment and Oval Floral dies from Spellbinders.  I used pink cardstock for the layering die cut.  Next I stamped the background image using VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder to heat emboss.  I fussy cut the background removing some of the image.  Then I added a white doily behind the background and layered all of the pieces.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and you can see the image of the angel in the background.  Then I added a few WOC flowers.

Here is a close up of the gold embossed background.  I also added some Lt Rose Flat Back Rhinestones SS12, SS16, SS20 from ButterBeeScraps.

This was a quick and easy card to create.  I hope you enjoy the card and the new stamps for today!

Bloom From Within Card - JustRite Papercraft May New Release Day Two!

Hello blogging friends!  It's day two of the JustRite Papercraft May New Release.  I have to say I am loving this stamp set!!  I love the dainty little vines and flowers along with the sweet sentiments.

Gold foil and gold embossing is so on trend right now and I think it just adds a touch of elegance to any project.  For the background on my card I used a gold foil cardstock and then layered it with a beautiful die cut.  I wanted to keep this card simple but still have the wow factor and I love the white and gold combination.  I used S6-025 6 x 6 Matting Basics A and S6-019 Lovin' Diamonds die templates from Spellbinders to create both of the die cuts.  On the smaller square die cut I stamped the heart shaped wreath image along with one of the sentiments from CR-02184 Choose Joy Clear Stamps using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Here is a close up of the stamped image.  I added a few white pearls around the wreath and in the diamonds at the top and bottom of the card.  For the bow I used baby pink seam binding.  I finished the card off by adding a few roses from Wild Orchid Craft Flowers.

Please be sure to visit all of the Design Team Members in the link list below for more beautiful stamping inspiration.

JustRite Papercraft April New Release - Day One - Hello Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is the first day of the  JustRite Papercraft April New Release and we are getting a little jump start on it going a day early.  :)

Here is the card I designed using the New CR-02172 Grand Handwritten Sentiments Clear Stamps, and CL-02169 Burlap Cheveron Background Cling Stamp.  The sentiment stamp set has a fun handwritten look to it with lots of great sentiments and the background stamp gives a great textured look to the chevrons.  For this card I embossed the CL-02169 Burlap Cheveron Background Cling Stamp using VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder.  Then I did a very simple watercolor wash using Spectrum Aqua Markers-Aquamarine, Teal, Kingfisher, Peacock Blue, Marine, Navy.  I started with the lightest color and worked my way to the darkest giving this a beautiful ombre look.

I heat embossed the sentiment and then added watercolor to the background.  I used 484e MIXED RECTANGLE LAYERING DIE SET from  Tonic Studios to create the die cuts.  I added some 3D Foam Squares in between the layers from some dimension.  Then I added blue sequins, Wild Orchid Craft Pearl Stars, and ButterBeeScraps SS16 Aquamarine Flat Back Rhinestones.

To finish off the card I added the background to a white mat and then to a aqua card base.

Just as a friendly reminder today (3/31/15) is the last day to get some great savings on Spellbinders die templates.

You can click HERE to see all of the Spellbinders dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed day one of the April New Release!

Heidi

Market Basket Thinking of You Card - Pink Ink Stamps

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to share my first project with you using Pink Ink Stamps.  I was so happy when Peggy contacted me to join her design team.  I am looking forward to sharing my projects with all of you.

For my first card I stamped the Market Basket image on to white cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink  and colored with Spectrum Noir™ Markers.  Then I created a die cut and stamped the Thinking of You sentiment at the top.  I inked the edges of the die cut with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.  The card base is brown with a layer of kraft cardstock.  Then I added a couple layers of My Mind's Eye pattern paper from the Pretty Things Collection.  I added some 3D Foam Squares to add some dimension to the label die cut.  To finish off the card I added a twine bow and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Ken Oliver Crafts - Change the World Card with Color Burst

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a fun and colorful card to share with you.  Have you heard about the new product called Color Burst from Ken Oliver?

Color Burst is an exciting new product!  It's a micro fine pigment powder and once you add water to it the colors really truly burst!  It is available in six beautiful and vibrant colors.

Here is the card I designed using Alizarin Crimson and Orange Color Burst.  I used Color Burst to tint some Gel Gloss for stenciling, create a watercolor background and to hand dye some seam binding.  There are so many different applications that Color Burst can be used for.

I mixed some of the  Golden Extra Heavy Gel Gloss with the Alizarin Crimson Color Burst to create this pretty pink tint.  It only takes just a tiny little sprinkle.

Here is a close up of the pretty pink mix.  I used a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper along with the Prima Finnabair Elementals Lace Stencil and applied the tinted Gel Gloss and then set it aside to dry.  Be sure to wash the stencil right away for easy cleaning.

Once the gel was dry then I wet the watercolor paper and started adding the Alizarin Crimson and Orange Color Burst to create a beautiful watercolor background.  I have to say I just LOVE this color combination!  It's so pretty!!

I created a color pallet with my Color Burst.  To do this just sprinkle a little of the Color Burst and add water.  When you're done set it aside to dry (my pallet has a plastic lid) and then next time you want to use it just add some water to reactive the Color Burst.

Here is a quit tip.  If you want to have more control over the Color Burst when adding water you can use a water bottle with a dropper.  Since the Color Burst is a Micro Fine Powder even the little bit of air that comes out from a mist bottle can move the Color Burst powder and it might end up where you don't want it.  But if you use a dropper you will have a lot more control.  I picked up a couple of these bottles at Hobby Lobby and they were very inexpensive.

Here is a close up of the background piece.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.  I used the flourish and sentiment stamp from the 71 006059 Ken Oliver WATERCOLORED MEMORIES Clear Stamp Set 2.  I used Memento Inks, Angel Pink for the flourish and Tangelo for the sentiment.  Then I used Tonic Studio 175e TOPPER DIE INNER SET - THANK YOU die template to create the label shape.  I added a few  Wild Orchid Craft Flowers MKX-122 Mixed Pink/White Cosmos Daisy and for the leaves I used one of the die templates from the 657e ROYAL FERN DIE SET from Tonic Studio.  For the bow I used some hand dyed seam binding.  Can you guess how I dyed the seam binding?  Yep, that's right--Color Burst! For some sparkle I added a few sequins and then I also went over the flowers and leaf die cuts using the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen
**NOTE** Tonic Studio dies linked to a US site and UK site in the supply list.

Here is one more close up of the Color Burst watercolor background with the tinted gels gloss and stenciling.

I hope you enjoyed the card and tutorial today.  I hope it inspires you to give Color Burst a try!  If you do please let me know--leave a link to your blog or gallery.  I would love to see your artwork!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope you have a wonderful and creative weekend!
