Imagine - Mixed Media Panel - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty attic blog with my first project for 2024: a mixed media panel.

To begin, I glued some paper sheets to the canvas board. I added a thin layer of white gesso to blend the papers and the background. I added a design with the Circuit stencil and paper paste.

I embossed the Industrial Jumbo Gears, the Nuneka Gears, and the Blueprint Word.

I primed the Leaves #3 and the Christmas Berries #1 with white gesso. I painted the leaves with green and orange liquid acrylic paints.

I colored some flowers and the Christmas Berries #1 with red and gold Magicals.

I painted the background with brown and black paints.

To finish I added some glitter.

Happy Northern Lights canvas - Kerstin Filou

Welcome everyone!

Welcome into the new year 2023,

wish you a year full of fun and joy in creative work !

It's wintertime here, cold, snow and ice have us again fully in the grip.
but it can be also a very special time, in the high north of Europe  you can now discover  Northern Lights, they change the landscape into a magic winterland.
I  have not seen them myself yet, but they fascinate me.

I was inspired to create a mixed media canvas as new wall decoration for a childs room.
In the dark starry sky they shine especially bright
and the little penguin marvels at these great wonders of nature.

Nothern Lights were painted with acrylic and metallic paints, love to combine several techniques with the classical scrapbooking style, it's always very exciting.
At Dusty Attic you can find always a lot of inspiring chippies, which can be magnificently combined for all kinds of techniques and ideas,I just love to try out new ideas and surprise others with them.

Keep Smiling ... " - Pascale B

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media canvas.

To begin, I covered the canvas with Paper paste. Then I used liquid acrylic paints to color the paste: I added several layers of paints and I dried in between each layers to obtain the effect of an old wall.

I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I used a foam to do it to be able to add a thin layer.

I colored the Lemon Leaves with Advocado and Umber liquid acrylics. I have selected different elements from Foliage Cluster #1, #2 & #3 and from the Botanic Mix #1 & 3. I used the same colors for the leaves of all these elements. I added Tiger Eye's Stone Jewel paste to the flowers of the different elements.

I covered the frame with metallic flakes, then with clear crackle paste. And to finish, I added sepia wax to highlight the cracks.

To finish, I added some Golden Dragon paste and glitter.

Shine like the Stars - Karan Gerber

HI friends and welcome back. I have a project share for you today designed for Dusty Attic. Todays project is a mixed media piece on a 6 x8 flat board panel.

The base  of this is a 6x8 flatboard canvas, inspired by moons by Nuneka, I really wanted to set out a starry night. Here in northern Ontario, the skies are filled with bright stars, and the full moon adds much light needed in an area where street lights are non existent

Using gel medium I began adhering all my elements to the panel, setting the large moon off the panel a bit and adding one of the smaller moons to the middle,

I applied white gesso to everything once it was all glued down, when dry, I used  some fluid acrylic from Golden, and my favourite rust paste,
Added in some Vintage Gold Paste and gold prills.

The background in panel really does not do this project justice, it looks like a sheet of metal and I love how this turned out. I hope i have inspired you to try these out.

Thank you for dropping by and I hope you like my project  this month, until next time, Happy Scrapping

Love these Photos - Svetlana Sanochkina

Hi, friends! Today I am thinking about hobbies. I have a lot of them, really. But my favourites are crafting and taking photos of crafting. I think I love them because I can do it the whole year and it doesn't depend on the weather or a season.

Romantic Canvas by Anat Weksler

 Hello crafty friends!

It's Anat here with my new project - a romantic Canvas.

I've got this amazing mini Paper Pack - Remnants by 49 and Market, which untill now I didn't dare to use due to my extreme love to it, LOL . I just adore this Collection! The pack comes with  paper elements as well which I used in my canvas along with one of the papers as my background.

First I adhered to canvas one paper, covered with clear gesso and added white crackle paste through the magnificent Lace Stencil.

Occasionally I used less chipboards, compared to what I regulary use. I wanted to achieve  lighter and  less busy composition, very feminine and romantic.

The gorgeous chipboard were colored with several impasto paints, adding embossing powder and rubbing with Aged Brass Metalique Wax and Shabby Pink Matte Wax.

Here they are:

Thanks for stopping by!
