Best friends FURever - Michelle Carrick

Hello Scrappers!
WOW...WOW... can you believe its 1 month to Christmas!!

This photo is of my niece Amy and her dog Zoe!
this picture was taken the night of her matric dance and colour perfect for November mood board!

For the back ground I used a mixture of colours
Dusty Attic paints - Rasin; Cranberry; Sugar Plum and impasto White,
including a bit of crackle paste!

Stencilled with music and stars using Heavy gesso and gold glitter paste!
then stamped with scrip stamp in various places.

After that, using espresso alcohol ink, dropped and let run.
But this was to dark, so I toned it down using Bleach,
which intern gave it a lemon yellow tinge.
I also applied beach to again tone down my Salmon card stock.

For the chip boards:
The title I used All-Purpose ink Gold

For the frame I used Ranger embossing powder - lavender gold
For the butterflies All-Purpose ink Gold with a drop of espresso ink!

I finally added Lace; Film ribbon and flowers!

Create - Altered Pumpkins - Michelle Carrick

Good day my friends,

Today I'm back with a special
Two altered mixed media pumpkins
especially for the month of October!

Unfortunately, I was so excited about this project,
that I forgot to take a before photo! my bad!!!

I found metal art work pumpkins and
with that I used two different techniques!

For the first Pumpkin
I primed it with 3 lays, as the rusty metal kept coming through.
Then I applied alcohol inks - Butterscotch; sunshine yellow; espresso; origanum; Honeycomb; Sunset orange
and a touch of impasto paint!

Once dry
I added all the embellishments.
For the chippies I used gold All-Purpose ink as well as alcohol inks - Sunset Orange and Origanum.

For the second one:
I used Prima acrylic liquid paints.
Once again, I primed it with 3 lays,
as the rusty metal kept coming through.
I then added texture paste and painted with acrylic liquid paints-
Magenta; Tiger Orange; white and Avocado green.

Once dry i added all my embellishments.

Totally Pawsome - Michelle Carrick

Hello friends,

Here is my first creation for this month.
This photo is of a Schnauzer on my group, and she just poses so beautifully.
A Scrap-able moment!!!

So although one dose not need to prepare the record, I did by using Black gesso.
Letting it dry naturally, as heat warps the record.

I then stencilled using a damasks stencil, once dry I added colour.
A mixture of Prima - Black Berry; Iris Potion; Butterfly Spells
and a touch of Red Wine, to bottom and top of the LP.

To create the starry effect I flicked {using a old Tooth brush}

I painted all the Dusty Attic chip boards with Prima - Red Wine
adding a touch of Butterfly Spells.
Using hessian and angel hair to back my photos.
Most of the flowers are hand made.

I added Dusty Attic - mini tabs, as well as buckles and hessian ribbon
to finish off the look.

and raven Black.

I tried to do a 3D effect with the Star chippie!

Using Jewellery wire with silver beads to try give
Another starry effect.

As well as adding hearts in the wire!
I placed and attached blue angel hair under the Tags
then attached everything down!
After all is down I used Ranger - Diamond Stickles to highlight!

Tropical state of Mind - Michelle Carrick

I'm Back with my second project today...
Friends just chilling!!

For this project I Incorporated all gorgeous pastels.

I painted my wood white, adding sand to give texture and sanding the edges.
Wrapped string around the bottom half.

I then painted my little canvas with diluted green and blue paint.
I added real sea sand on the bottom half.
Wrapped string around the top half of the canvas.

Made tags out of a map and also made the palm tree out of normal leaves  just cutting one half of the leaf off. Then wrapped the wire with string holding them together.
I also included cocktail umbrellas.

For the all the chip boards I painted white first,
for the leaves I used green alcohol ink,
For the sea enemies I used Blue alcohol ink,
for the title Tropical is Blue alcohol ink and state of mind is pink paint.
Lastly, for the bubble chip board I added sand for texture.
I also included angle hair.

I placed and attached everything down as well as some metal shells and art stones to complete the look.
