Angel Heart Mixed Media Panel - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today, I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media panel for Dusty Attic.

To begin, I primed the canvas board with white gesso. Next, I added two designs with the Circle Dots and Starry Night stencils, and paper paste. I make sure that the paste was completely dry before I covered everything with both white and clear crackle pastes. I didn't try to obtain an even surface as it wasn't what I was looking for, but I make sure that the designs were still visible under the crackle pastes.

I sprayed the edges of Wings #1 with water to allow the layers of the chipboard to separate to give more dimension to the wings. When done, I primed all the chipboards I'd selected with white gesso. I was careful to keep all the layers of the wings separate when I painted and dried them.

I used mica powders mixed with a liquid fluid medium and liquid acrylic to paint the chipboards. Then I added some silver wax on top.

My background was dry, I started to paint it with mica powders mixed with the liquid fluid medium too. Next, I stamped randomly the background and dry brushed some parts with white gesso to remind the background of the photo.

I assembled the composition to my desire and added a touch of white pearl wax to add some light. I kept some part of the middle of the Decorative Frame #4 in order to glue it easily under the photo.

I decided to add a little cluster on the left side to remind the main cluster.
To finish, I added some glitter.

Sunshine moments - Judith Tijsen

Hello to you all,

Here I am with another post.
Today I chose again for a mixed media project.
Can anyone see what I used for the base of my project?
It's an carton egg tray.

I first edited it with black gesso and then stamped it flat.
Then I edited it with different colors of wax from Finnabair.

All chipboard that I used from Dusty Attic I also waxed.

I used the following Dusty Attic Products:

Imagine - Pascale B

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media canvas.

First, I primed the canvas with white gesso. Next, I started to add some color with Burnt Sienna and Black liquid acrylic paints. When dry, I added a design with the Lace stencil and the Burnt Amber.

Next, I mixed some Paper Paste with the Burnt Sienna paint and applied the paste with a pallet knife randomly. I added here and there some metallic flakes. Finally, I stamped some text with black Archival ink and added some clear crackle paste.

While the crackle paste was drying, I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. Then I painted them with the Burnt Sienna paint. I continued with waxes: first the Red Aber, next the Charcoal Black.

When the crackle paste was completely dry, I colored it with Burnt Sienna and Black paints to reveal the cracking. I glued all the chipboards to mimic the headdress from the photo.

I added some touch of Old Silver and White Gold to highlight the chipboards. I added some Violet and Prussian Blue paint to the background.

To finish, I added some glitters.

Love these Photos - Svetlana Sanochkina

Hi, friends! Today I am thinking about hobbies. I have a lot of them, really. But my favourites are crafting and taking photos of crafting. I think I love them because I can do it the whole year and it doesn't depend on the weather or a season.

Cherish - Kristy Abela

Hello Dusty FanAttics! I have been itching to do a canvas for a while now. So I stopped procrastinating and just did it!! This Industrial style layout features a whole bunch of colour layering using fabric, lace, metals, cabochons and flowers PLUS our Dusty Attic Chipboard to bring it to life! I'm planning on doing this in an upcoming class if you want to have a go at trying it for yourself. This style is super easy with the right background and Dusty Chippy is the perfect platform to build your own masterpiece!

Here are some close ups of the finished piece!

Here are the Dusty pieces I used to make this layout. If you are interested in learning how to do this style of Mixed media head over to my Facebook or Instagram on the links below and let me know!

Live for the moment - Julia Ost - Mixed Media Canvas

Hello dear friends!
I love creating  vintage projects where I build up layers, paste cracks to compose a layout made of favorite ptoducts. This time I have a triangular canvas with patina and multilayeredness made with Dusty Attic chipboard, paper and toppings.

First I toned my layout and covered it with texture paste through the stencil with crackle effect. After that I used Lindy’s spray, wax, oil paint and structuring mixture from Stamperia to work on the texture of the layout.
Then I used the chipboard that I painted the same colour as my layout is, added some paper elements from Ab.studio and completed it with аrt stone from Primamarketing.
I also planned to have an eye in my project, but decided to save it for some other time.

Instead I have a beautiful butterfly fluttering over my project!
I hope you enjoy my new composition!

Here I used:

Clockworks Small

Cheers,
