Looking back . . .

High School.
Srsly. Does anyone ever really want to repeat their high school years?
Oh wait! I would!
Fun times, fun times.

You know what else I would love to repeat?
My fav hits from Highschool.

Nice.

Here are some favorites:
~The Freshman - Verve Pipe (oh the memories. I think this is one that carries the most flash backs. Huh Carrie, Nicole and Heidi? Okay technically those are college memories, but the song is from when i was in HS).
~Anything from Counting Crows was definitely a favorite. And still is.
~Wonder Wall and Champagne Supernova - Oasis
~Tubthumping - Chumbawamba (okay, not a favorite but it takes me back)
~Peaches - The Presidents of the United States of America
~Anything by Alanis Morissette
~In the Meantime - Spacehog (Srsly one of my most favorite)
~Anything by Bon Jovi
~Def Leopard
~Aerosmith
~Nirvana
~Green Day
~Pearl Jam
~Crash Test Dummies (Dustyn and I pulled out those CD's the other day. Fun times)
~Glycerine by Bush
~Jumper - Third Eye Blind
~Jewel
~No Doubt
~Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
~Torn - Natalie Imbruglia
~Smashing Pumpkins (Still a fav)
~Bryan Adams (okay this was a middle school thing, remember Rock and Chester? Of course you do)
~Ace of Base (I still love them and would listen to them if I had their album! Yes, I am a geek)
~Everclear

I could go on and on.
I miss the music of the late 90's.

What are some of your favorites from when you were in high school?
(p.s. this would be a FUN time to delurk)

It's a give-away! I am going to make a mixed CD of whatever music I want! Awesome, right?

It could be fun!
You never know what fun music you might love before this is over.

Come on, I know you want to enter!
Who DOESN'T want a new CD?

Just do it!

Wooohooo! I am totally making a list right NOW!

I will randomly chose TWO winners. Give-away will end Sunday night at midnight!

Ready?
COMMENT!

(one thing I CAN guarantee, it will be random!)

Dancin' Dustyn

Since today was the last day of school this year, they had a lot of fun activities.  The students were able to pay to get out of class to watch movies, play Halo, X-box and various other activities.  All the proceeds go to a family in the community as part of the schools Giving It Back program.  They earn a good amount of money every year to help a family in need, usually alumni of the school.

Today the librarian made elf yourself videos and had them playing all day on the projector.  Here is the one that Dustyn was in.  Quite funny.  The students LOVED it.

School is officially out for SIXTEEN days!!  Woohoo!

Happy Birthday Nicole!

Nicole and I have been friends since we were in middle school.  We were basically inseparable.  If Nicole wasn't around, no one would recognize me.  They all would want to know were Nicole was.  It always made me laugh.

So here are my top ten favorite memories of Nicole.
*State Basketball in Cedar.
*When she dumped a 22oz Mountain Dew on my head while I was driving.  *edit*  Nicole is right!  I messed up my own memory!  It was a 22oz in my lap.  ( And I thought it was pretty much the whole thing - but I may be wrong).
*When my car horn went off in front of her parents house in the middle of the night.  It was stuck, there was no stopping it.
*Dried spaghetti in the refrigerator.
*Walking in the ditches all around Ephraim in the middle of a rain storm.
*Making spaghetti sauce.   And nasty tacos.
*Her mom walking in and seeing her sitting on the couch with a boy in Ephraim.
*Dragging Main in the station wagon and TJ losing a box of oil.
*Old Faithful - Root Beer style.
*Brandon L, Clint, Chris , Robear, Bob, Neanderthal, Pete, Carl, TJ, Willy, and last but not least - The bog of eternal stench.
I know this is only a few.  There are many, many, many more.

Happy Birthday Nicole!
