This fortnight we would like to see an autumn themed project for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge.
I wrapped green satin ribbon round the right hand side of black card and matted this onto white card. I added a gold peel off sentiment to the ribbon. The decoupaged image was made using a sheet from Jayne Netley Mayhew's autumn collection.

Autumn

The theme for the latest challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is autumn. I chose to use one of the decoupage sheets from Jayne Netley Mayhew's Autumn collection as it reminds me of the crab apple tree I have in my garden and to incorporate it in an easel card.
I have lots of scarps of printed papers in my stash and I used two pieces of these on the base of the easel. I joined the two pieces together and wrapped ribbon round round the join before matting it onto core'dinations cardstock and fixing it to the base of the card. The ribbon also acted as part of the stop for the easel.
I also matted the decoupaged design onto the same coloured core'dinations cardstock before fixing it to the easel part of the card. Lastly I added a sentiment matted again onto core'dinations cardstock and attached this to the ribbon. A further sentiment was added to the corner of the base of the card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Incy Wincy Designs - things that fly
Fab 'n' Funky - go outside
Inky Chicks - fairies and/or wings

Autumn dog

This week we would like you not to use any patterned paper in your entry for the challenge at Creative Corner.
I began by matting green card onto white card. I then made up the image from one of Jayne Netley Mayhew's Autumn collection of decoupage sheets. Next I cut three squares of different coloured core'dinations cardstock and along with the decoupage image arranged them one on top of one another in a cascading formation. Finally I finished the card with two sets of three card candi which matched the core'dinations cardstock.

I was asked to make a Christmas card using a robin. This is the result.
The robin stamp is from Jayne Netley Mayhew's collection and the sentiment stamp is from Kaisercraft. I coloured both using Spectrum Aqua pens and then added loose glitter to the M, C and leaves and Glossy Accents to the birds eye. I framed the whole using silver candy strips from my stash.

Blue Tit

There is a new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and More, the theme of which is 'something old, something new'. I hope you will be able to join us.
I have chosen to use an old favourite stamp, Jayne Netley Mayhew's blue tit from Joanna Sheen, but I have tried a new technique - that of colouring using water colour pencils. After colouring and allowing the image to dry I cut it out and shaped it slightly.
I matted and layered paper printed using a House Mouse CD ROM (another old favourite) from Joanna Sheen onto pink mirri card and white card. I then matted white card onto pink mirri card, both cut out using Spellbinders dies, attached it to the card and then fixed the image to the circle using glue gel.
I used a die from a new set of Tattered Lace dies called starlight circle to cut two floral pieces from a hint of silver centura pearl card. I coloured these pieces using Promarkers before fixing them to the edge of the circle. Finally using Tattered Lace dies I cut a sentiment from the pink mirri card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Wren

Back to stamping and colouring for this card and this one brings back memories of blackberry picking when I was a child. The stamp used was Jayne Netley Mayhew's wren and I coloured it using Spectrum Noir pencils adding glossy accents to the berries. The sentiment was from the same set of stamps. The strip of design paper was printed using Joanna Sheen's House Mouse CD ROM and was matted onto core'dinations cardstock.

Butterfly Wishes

I love butterflies and the lilac is just coming into flower so I wanted to make a card with a butterfly just balancing on lilac, although I'm not sure anyone would see butterflies this colour - at least not round here.
I matted lilac core'dinations cardstock onto white card.
Left hand panel: lilac flowers were stamped from Joanna Sheen's garden flowers collection and coloured using Promarkers. After dusting the edges with distress ink I matted the image onto dark purple core'dinations cardstock. A little glitter was applied to the flowers. The butterfly was stamped from Jayne Netley Mayhew colllection, coloured using Promarkers, cut out and attached using glue gel.
Right hand panel: three butterflies from the same set as above were stamped and coloured using Promarkers. Again the panel was matted onto dark purple core'dinations cardstock. I then added a peel off sentiment.

I wish to enter this card into the following challenges:

Old and new

I recently bought the Tattered Lace oriental fan die and thought I'd better use it!. I cut the fan shape out from Neenah paper and stamped three butterflies, using an old stamp I had from one of Jayne Netley Mayhew's collection. These I coloured using Promarkers. I also stamped, coloured and cut out a fourth butterfly. The Neenah paper was then matted and layered onto black mirri card and white card. I cut a second fan from red card and glued this into the fan shape cut previously. Stickles was applied to the holes in the edge of the fan and in the base of the fan. The fourth butterfly was then attached to the fan. Finally a peel off sentiment was added.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Kingfishers

I love kingfishers and really like this particular image.
I matted and layered the paper printed from Pollyanna Pickerings British Wildlife DVD ROM from Creative Crafter's World onto dark turquoise mirri card and white card having first wrapped black ribbon around the lower half of the paper. I then attached a bow and some gems to the ribbon.
The main image was printed from the same DVD ROM and I matted this onto the mirri card which had been cut out using a Spellbinders heart circle die. I stamped the flying kingfisher using a stamp from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew collection and coloured it using Promarkers. I then glittered the wings.
The sentiment was created by using another one of the heart circle dies, a circle die, peel offs and a glittery button.

I would like to enter this into the follow challenges:

Penguins

I have used another image from Jayne Netley Mayhew for this birthday card. This one is called penguins and my son loves these creatures. I have coloured it using Promarkers, cut it out using a Spellbinders majestic labels 25 die and done faux stitching around the edge. This was then attached to black core'dinations cardstock which had black ribbon wrapped round it before matting it onto white card. Four card candis were then glued to the corners of the image, a large black bow glued to the black vertical ribbon and a white happy birthday peel off attached to the lower half of the ribbon.

Badger

I think I am becoming addicted to spots! Here is another card using the black spots on white background. On its own the paper is a bit dazzling on the eyes but by adding toppers on top it becomes a little more bearable.
The paper is matted onto black card and then white. The image (called badger!) is from Jayne Netley Mayhew's collection and I coloured it using Promarkers, going over the stamped part to emphasize the black. I cut it out using a Spellbinders circle die and matted and layered it on black card, grey core'dinations cardstock and white core'dinations cardstock all cut out using Spellbinder dies. Three more smaller circles were cut out from the same materials and matted and layered to form the base on which to stick the sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Robin

I recently bought some Aquamarkers, so I thought I would use them on this image from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew collection. Having coloured it I added glitter to the leaves and rose hips. A stamped Merry Christmas and silver peel off around the edge finished it.

Owl

Owls are one of my favourite birds. This owl, coloured with Promarkers, is from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mewhew collection.
I embossed brown core'dinations cardstock using the Darice wood grain folder, sanded it and then used a Spellbinder die to cut the aperture, which I then ringed with peel offs. Originally I was going to place the owl onto a very dark background so that he appeared as if in a tree hollow but I decided it would be too dark, so he remains on the white Neenah background. Brown ribbon was wrapped round the bottom of the card before fixing to the base card.
The embellishments are made from die cut flowers and ivy and a couple of candi. Finally a lighter piece of core'dinations was embossed and distressed with brown ink to form the 'wooden' happy birthday notice.

I wish to enter this card into the following challenges:
Paper Pretties Wednesday - monochromatic mania
 Allsorts -  furs/feathers
Crafter Companion - dies and die cuts

Blue tit

This blue tit image from Jayne Netley Mayhew's collection is coloured with Promarkers and mounted onto green mirri card. The flower embellishments are made from Bazzill card and sprayed with glitter. The easel card itself was cut using Spellbinder's grand big scalloped circles.
