Celebrate

The theme for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge this fortnight is for a special woman/girl or mother's day.
I have used a stamp from Crafter's Companion Frou Frou collection called it's never too late and coloured it using Spectrum Noir pens. I then matted and layered it onto black card, pink core'dination cardstock, another layer of black card and finally white card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Dream Valley - lots of layers
Cute Card Thursday - for mothers/ladies only
   Allsorts - ladies and girls
   Crafty Calendar - mum's day/special female

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - for a special lady/girl

Elegant friends

To make this card I began by wrapping cream satin ribbon round the middle of navy card before matting it onto cream card. From cream centura pearl card I used tattered lace dies to cut pieces for the border. The corners are cut from one of the victorian corner dies and the side pieces are pieces cut from the over the edge flourish border.
The stamp used for the image is the Frou Frou two of a kind stamp from Crafter's Companion and I coloured it using Promarkers, inking the edges with distress ink. I matted this onto cream centura pearl card.
   Finally I added a bow.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
   Tattered Lace - elegant
Whoopsi Daisy - 2 or more dies
Dream Valley - favourite colour combo
   Cafty Catz - anything goes
The Pink Elephant - anything goes
The Crazy Challenge - die cuts and punches
   Cupcake Inspirations - ribbon
Crafty Ribbons - anything goes with ribbon
   Creative Fingers - anything goes

Shop till you drop

The backing paper was made from a sentiment from the Crafter's Companion Hobbies CD ROM which was put into a graphics program and tiled. This was wrapped round the card. A Crafter's Companion stamp 'Shoppe' from their Frou Frou range was used for the image and was coloured using Promarkers. I then cut it out using a Spellbinders labels 10 die and once adhered to the card I used flexi peel offs to outline the shape.
Red ribbon was tied round the left hand side of the card and a bow and three square gems added to it. A further three gems were glued to the top right hand corner and a sentiment backed onto black mirri card was added to the bottom right hand corner.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Digi Sketch - use a rubber stamp
CD Sunday - shop til you drop

Its Never Too Early

I originally intended to use just black and red Promarkers to colour this Crafter's Companion image, but I think the green brings it to life a little more. It is mounted onto red mirri card and then onto black card. The embellishments consist of red and black feathers and flowers punched from red and black card. The centres of the smaller ones are formed out of lime green Stickles, whilst a child's craft box provided the gel centres for the two larger.
