Old golfer

The theme for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede is keep your eye on the ball. With many golf clubs around were I live I just had to choose a golfer!
I matted and layered the design paper onto brown core'dinations cardstock and white card. I coloured the digi image Old golfer (number 16103) using Promarkers, cut it out using a Tattered Lace notched rectangle die, inked the edges using distress ink and matted it onto green card before attaching it to to card. I glued a white card candi (the nearest thing I had to a golf ball) in each of the notched corners.
Keeping to the notched rectangles I used these onto which to put my peel off sentiment using foam pads to attach it to the card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Sandcastles

The theme for the new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is 'by or under the sea'. This challenge is being sponsored by Woodware Craft Collection who are offering a prize of £12 which you can spend online or at your favourite stockist.
I wrapped ribbon round mirri card before matting this onto white card. The House Mouse decoupage is from the Silly Summer set from Joanna Sheen and I matted this onto core'dinations cardstock before attaching it to the card. The sentiment from the decoupage sheet was also matted onto core'dinations cardstock. I cut out the two shells from a second sentiment and added them to the bottom right hand corner. Using a Tattered Lace die I cut a castle from sand designed paper from an old DCWV paper pack, matting it onto core'dinations cardstock before attaching it to the card. Finally I added a bow.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Creative Inspirations - seaside, sunshine, holiday
   Crafty Calendar - summer fun

Happy birthday

This week the challenges at Crafting From the Heart is being sponsored by Melonheadz.

I began by matting cream card onto white. The next item I made was the window. For this I used Tattered Lace's window 2 die, cutting off the top and bottom portions and adding acetate for the panes. I cut out a piece of blue card the same size as the window and onto this I glued a printed digi image of the Eiffel tower from Melonheadz set called Paris which I had fussy cut. After sticking the die cut window to this I attached it to the card.
I stuck a peel off picture frame onto a digi poodle from the same Paris set and stuck this to the left of the window, drawing some lines to represent the string used to hang the picture.
I used Tattered Lace's die 'watching the world go by' to cut the lady and table and coloured it using Promarkers. I coloured another piece of card the same colour as the dress and matted this behind the dress on the die cut. I then attached it to the card using glue gel.
Finally I fussy cut happy birthday from the same Paris set, coloured it using Promarkers and attached the sentiment to the card.

I then added Glossy Accents to the raindrops and grey pearls to the cart wheels. After cutting it out I wrapped ribbon round one of the corners  and added a bow.

Birthday circle

This week for the QKR Stampede challenge we would like you to make a shaped card i.e. one the is neither square nor rectangular.
I decided to make a circular card because of the rockers on the old woman's chair. I cut it from white card using a Tattered Lace half circle die. Onto this I matted pearlescent card which I had cut using a Tattered Lace pearl circle die.
The image (number 17202) is called rocking and reading and after colouring it using Promarkers I cut it out using a Tattered Lace pin dot circle. Whilst it remained in the die I dusted the edges using distress ink. using the pin holes I then embroidered round the edge of the design before attaching it to the card.
To stop the card from rolling I attached a rectangular 'label' to the base of the card onto which I placed a peel off greeting.

I used Bugaboo's digi image 'glass of wine a day' arranging the sentiment above it. After colouring it using Promarkers I matted it, embossed Bazzil Basics paper and burgundy mirri card onto a cream base card. to finish the card I added a gold peel off Happy Birthday and used a sparkle gel pen on the twirl around the wine glass.

Remember b&w photos

The theme for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede is monochrome. I immediately thought of the old black and white photos that I used to take as a child on an old camera that my aunt gave me.
I matted black card onto grey card and onto this I attached a border which I had created using My craft Studio graphics program. The frog image called Pool Party is number 24149 and was coloured using Promarkers and then cut out using a Tattered Lace die.. The lettering was computer generated.

Time to Party

There is a new challenge beginning over at Crafty Cardmakers today the theme of which is TIME.
I embossed a piece of cream core'dinations cardstock using the Darice folder 'clock backgrounds' and then matted it onto black and then white card.
The central time piece was cut from black card using Tattered Lace's die 'counting the moments'. I used gold gilding wax on the dial rim and outer decorations and after gluing the centre onto a circle of white card I glued in the ungilded numerals, clock face centre and hands. I then attached it to the card using foam pads.
The sentiment on the black border was created from gold peel off letters.

Make a wish

The theme for this month's challenge at Dragonfly Dreams is more than one fold.
I have made a shutter card using Tattered Lace's oval shutter card dies. The image called 'Make a wish' is from The Paper Shelter and I coloured it using Promarkers.
I wrapped two rows of narrow ribbon around each of the end top layers of matting. The sentiment in the first oval was created using Tattered Lace's ornate alphabet dies. The central words were cut using the all occasions sentiment dies from Tattered Lace and I again used tattered Lace dies to cut out the mini butterflies. These I matted onto core'dinations cardstock before attaching to the card.

I coloured it using Promarkers, fussy cut it out and attached it to the card. I cut out the birds using the mini Tattered Lace die flying birds, coloured them using Promarkers and attached them to the top left hand corner of the card. using the penguin fishing Tattered Lace die I cut out the bucket of fish which I again coloured using Promarkers. After gluing this to the card I applied Glossy Accents to both these fish and the fish hanging from the end of the girls toe.

Christmas greetings

The theme for this week's challenge at QKR Stampede is 'things with wings'.
Using a Spellbinders' circular die I cut an aperture in white core'dinations cardstock and then embossed it using Sheena Douglass' festive embossing folder. I then matted and layered it onto paper printed using the seventh volume of Tattered Lace's CD ROM and silver card. Silver peel off was then attached around the aperture.
The digi called 'Walking birdie' (number 14706) was coloured using Promarkers, fussy cut out and then attached to the edge of the aperture using glue gel. Finally I added a sentiment cut from silver mirri card using Tattered Lace Christmas sentiment dies.

Lantern box

This week Creative Corner would like you to make anything but a card for their challenge.
Using Crealies Create a Box (set 1) dies I made a lantern shaped box. I used raffia for the handle and attached this whilst making up the box. I used various Tattered Lace dies to cut out holly, trails of ivy and a Christmas rose from white card. These I then coloured using distress inks and then used them to decorated the panels of the box. I left one of the upper panels undecorated and to this I attached a greetings peel off.
