  1. Taiwan Day 6 and 7: Taipei

    Friday, 8 June 2012

    Day 6
Le Parker offers a pretty decent breakfast for a mid to low priced Taiwan hotel, and after that we took the same shuttle bus back to Taichung HSR. This time, no ticket stubs need to be shown, just board and alight at your destination.

The journey to Taipei took only 30 minutes as Taichung is comparatively nearer. Once we reached Taipei, getting around is easy as the HSR is the same location as their MRT interchange - Taipei Main Station.

Since we knew our way around, and we already planned our journey, we didn't need to buy the concession pass. Planning your journey could help you save some money especially in Taipei where most of your destinations in the city can be reached by their MRT. Instead, we got a EasyCard, which is basically an EZ Link which has a refundable deposit of 100 NTD.

Our hotel is in the Zhong Shan district 中山, only one stop away from Taipei Main Station. In fact you can even reach there by foot, cutting through Zhong Shan Underground Mall 中山地下街. The hotel itself is in an alley just off the main road. K hotel has numerous Japanese guests, so you can expect top notch service. They also provide half-day and one-day tours too. Just request for it at the reception and they'll give you a brochure that includes the places that the tour would bring you too. Some places include Kee Lung 基隆, Jiu Fen 九分, Yang Ming Shan 阳明山 , Beitou 北投 and many more. The hotel is situated right behind a police station, making it a safe district to stay in. Right beside the hotel is a 7-11 to fulfill your supper needs! P.S: We love 7-11 Tea Egg 茶叶蛋! :D
Our Suite room - It's a more expensive option to just pamper ourselves with 2 TVs in the room!

After check in, we went to Coffee Alley near Taipei Main Station. This famous place has a queue lasting almost an hour before you get any seats, and that's for two people. It might get even longer if you have a large group. You can make reservations beforehand via email on their facebook page (I made the reservations at least 2 weeks in advance!). There is a minimum order of a drink for each person, although that's not a problem for us. When I first visited the cafe 2 months ago, I ordered their Salted Caramel & Vanilla Ice Cream Waffle as well as the Ice Cream with Cotton Candy & Espresso.
We had a hard time finishing these 2 desserts as the portion was really big. The waffle was twice the thickness than the one sold at Gelare and there were 4 big scoops of ice cream! The desserts were really tasty and we felt so sorry for not finishing them... The coffee taste blended very well into the cotton candy making the dessert less sweet! +++ Recommended! As for the waffles, they were really soft and spongy! So... I decided to bring my boy to Coffee Alley! (:

We ordered Strawberry Mille Feuille and Chocolate Ice Cream & Banana Waffle.
The Mille Feuille was a lil small portion but yet tasty, resembling apple strudel. The pastry cream has a strong vanilla taste which we really liked. We saw several customers ordering it while we were there too. If it wasn't for the small portion, we may not we able to finish our huge waffle. Chocolate and banana would never go wrong so it was definitely a nice dessert. It would be better if the banana was sweeter.

The drinks we had were Rose Tea and Special In-house Coffee. My girl drank Rose Tea because she said it helps in complexion and digestion. Also, she drank it without the sugar syrup to be extra healthy. Though its supposedly to be their specialty, I felt that the coffee was average.

Once we had our tummies filled, it's time to visit another well known shopping district known as Wu Fen Pu 五分埔商圈. It's the place to go for apparel since many of the shops here are distributors or wholesalers. If you do go in with a bunch of friends and buy a few pieces of clothing, don't be afraid to ask for a better price.
Unlike Feng Jia and other night markets, Wu Fen Pu is a rough square bounded by 4 main roads. If you do not wish to miss out on any shops, remember the lanes which you have been to and clear the shops in a systematic fashion. The nearest MRT is Houshanpi 后山埤, as shown in the map. There isn't much to eat here, just some simple street vendors, so be sure to fill your stomachs before coming here. One can easily spend 3 hours walking in this district.

Once shopping is over we headed down to another night market, Ning Xia 宁夏夜市, which was near to 双连 Shuang Lian MRT station.

Ningxia is mainly an eating night market, lots of delicious food, but not much shopping to be done here. Navigation is easy, just a long street down lined with vendors.
I got a packet of fried chicken  from this stall, (boneless!). Pretty tasty with their signature pepper and salt seasoning, but there was a downside because it was left to cool and it wasn't a piping hot dish.
Another dish that is pretty common is Takoyaki. 日船 is what you are looking for. The signboard is blue and very obvious. We saw one big stall in Feng Jia too! Usually there would be a long queue, but beware, there are certain "pirated" stalls, so remember to get it only if there is a queue! It would be 6 balls per box at about 50 NTD.

Ningxia also offers vegetarian food! Halfway down the street, there's a vegetarian eatery with a huge orange signboard. We had their Lu Rou Fan 卤肉饭 and their dried noodles 干拌面. The whole meal came up to less than 100 NTD. This just goes to show that night markets still have a place for vegetarians!

As we were walking back to Shuang Lian station, we passed by a dessert stall that caught our eyes as we saw really huge Tang Yuan 汤圆. As I was craving for it, we gave it a try! Sadly, we ordered the wrong dish as the tang yuan wasn't the big ones and had no peanut filling. If we're not wrong again, the correct dish should be 烤麻薯 Muah Chee...
Peanut Tang Yuan 花生汤圆 - Nevertheless, the peanut soup was still very nice and sweetness was just right! The tang yuan was very small hence you won't get too bloated with this chinese dessert! (:

    Day 7

We gave hotel's breakfast a miss and went for Yong He Dou Jiang Da Wang, and this is the real deal, not some pirated version. To get here is not as simple as the rest. You would have to take the Blue line and change to Brown line, alight at Daan 大安 station. Just walk south on Fu Xing Nan Lu Er Duan 复兴南路二段, and you'll see this shop at unit 102, the huge red signboard is hard to miss too.

We had You Tiao 油条, Salty Soya Bean 咸豆浆, Warm Soya Bean 温豆浆 and Vegetarian Rice Roll wrapped in Crepe 素蛋饼夹饭团! The You Tiao was warm and crispy, not too oily! Perfect match with our soya bean drink. Something we would want to bring to SG would be the rice roll!
I ordered salty soya bean, and I know its hard to imagine what it looks like so we have the picture above left. The taste is similar to chawanmushi, just more savoury. There are shrimps and youtiao pieces inside the mixture, which isn't bland although most of it should be your usual tasteless soy. It's a great match with their soy drinks which are relatively light in taste. The rice roll is really generous in portion, and the fillings had so many ingredients that we couldn't really tell what was included. Even though it's vegetarian and you might think that the taste would be compromised, Yong He managed to present a completely delicious rice roll wrap. If you're a non vegetarian, there are plenty more choices which you can give a try too (the menu is below. although it's a little small and blurry).
We then spend an hour or two around Xi Men Ding 西门町 which is definitely a familiar place to all. XMD has become a very famous shopping district for many tourists and as demand increases, prices go up too! So, unless you're not going to other shopping places in Taipei, try to minimize your spending here as many of the apparels and shoes can be found in Wu Fen Pu and underground malls. Even though we don't get anything at XMD, we had to return for one of our fav dessert - 烤麻薯 Muah Chee!
They are located right opposite The Body Shop and you can recognize them by the red lanterns.
We love their peanut flavour!!! :D The peanut is very fine and they drizzled condensed milk over the muah chee before adding the peanut which makes the peanut stick to the muah chee really well. MUST TRY!!! (:

If you've never been to Xi Men Ding, the area is a rough cross. If you want to clear the streets systematically, stick to the left hand side shops, and make U turns when you reach the end. In this way you would cover every shop. That is the guy's way - dungeon clearing mode.

Our last stop for shopping would be Shi Da Night Market 师大夜市. It is located very near their university hence many students hang out here after school. Alight at Taipower Building 台电大楼, turn right upon leaving the station and walk for about 5 min. There'll be a street right beside 7/11 or Family Mart and just walk into it. Unlike other night markets, Shi Da is relatively small, and selling apparel only. Navigation here is easy too, just a mid length street with side alleys.

Take your time to explore the small stalls. Some shops are selling clothes at a higher price of ~600NT, and some can go as low as 150NT. The shopkeepers there are really friendly too! The hair accessories sold there are really pretty too, most of the designs can't be found in Singapore, and others are sold at a much higher price in Singapore. I decided to give a 300 NTD banana clip a miss, and when I came back to Singapore, even the average looking ones cost at least 20-30 SGD,  so don't hesitate to buy it if you like it! The staff would show you how to tie certain hairstyles if you request, and their service deserves a thumbs up!

There are guys apparels sold there too. Laking is one of those shops offering a lot of Taiwanese men's fashion. There are smaller stalls where the vendors brought in Korean fashion, and I got some tees from them. Although the prices are not that much lower, the shirts sold here are more novel and fresh. For guys, tees range from 190 to 380 NTD. Nicer tees and polos go from 380 to 500 NTD. You could bargain for 20-50 NTD off if you buy a couple of pieces. This price range applies to most of Taiwan shopping districts.

    Day 8
Aww.. It's our last day... ): Because our flight was at 1.15pm, we couldn't do much in the morning too. If there's time to spare, ladies may want to drop by Cosmed 康是美 which sells many types of masks, makeup, hair moisturizers and many more. Their offer items are really cheap!!! For instance, 2 boxes of masks (total 20 pieces) were selling at 299NT = 0.65 SGD per piece! I've used Taiwan masks before and I really liked them! (: Here's another item I bought from Cosmed:
    Hello Kitty Anti-Mosquito Sticker - CUTE!! (:

To sum up, Taiwan is a wonderful place for eating, shopping, and sightseeing. Fruits here are sweeter, fresher and cheaper. Their Jambu has a sweetness which rivals apples! Night markets also offer various snacks not seen in Singapore, and at economic prices. Go ahead and try as much as you can and be prepared to put on some weight.

Shopping is the number one agenda on my list! Apparel, accessories, makeup, masks, are available in a much wider variety and a lower price. Remember to pack with a 60-70% full luggage when you fly to Taiwan so that you have space for all the loot you are going to bring back from Taiwan! We sure enjoyed our Taiwan trip and we hope you get to enjoy the beauty of Taiwan too!

  2. Day 5 - Taichung
After a whopping great set breakfast at Mirador, we checked out and took the mrt to Zuoying which was linked to the HSR station for our 1 hour ride to Taichung. Unlike Kaohsiung, even though Taichung is the third largest city in Taiwan, it doesn't have a metro system, and our method of transportation was restricted to buses only.
The free shuttle bus service which plies from the HSR station to Qiao Guang university ends in Dec 12, so I guess there would be alternative forms available then. Meanwhile, all you have to do is to show your HSR tickets upon boarding, and you will be on your way. Just ask the friendly HSR station staff about your destination and they will let you know which bus to take.

After 40 minutes, we reached Le Parker Hotel, which is located in an alley in Feng Jia district, just 3 minutes from our alighting point, and 5 minutes from Feng Jia night market. Don't be deceived by the exterior of the hotel, it may look slightly old but I felt that the interior was good. The reception and dining area were small but acceptable. The lovely staff brought up our luggages to our rooms too.

Our first shopping would be at Yi Zhong Jie 一中街, which is a 20 NTD ride on bus 35. Just tell the bus driver your destination and he will tell you what to do. An alternative would be to buy your Easy travel card in Taipei, which can also be used on the bus system in Taichung. With numerous bus companies and strong competition, bus 35 comes every 6-10 minutes.

Yi Zhong Jie is a medium length street with lots of shops selling hair accessories and apparel for girls. But first stop was lunch to fill our hungry tummies! Walking all the way to one end we found this sign Dong Hai Vegetarian 东海素食 and we headed in! We ordered Tau Kwa 油豆干, Stirred Noodles 干拌面, Fried Rice with Ham 火腿炒饭 & Wanton Soup 云吞汤. The Tau Kwa is a cold dish to begin our meal. As you can see, there's ginger sprinkled on top to add a lil bit of spice to the dish. I like the noodles alot, I don't know what they added on top but its really tasty and tasted really well with the ramen alike noodles.
And we headed back to shopping! We spent about 2 hours to cover the entire street, but that's because we went into 70% of the shops! So depending on your pace, you can adjust the amount of time spent here. Don't miss out on this place, it definitely has stuff worth buying.

After shopping at Yi Zhong Jie, we bused back to our hotel to drop off our stuff and to soak our feet in hot water. Because our next target, is the largest night market in the whole of Taiwan - Feng Jia Night Market 逢甲夜市.
The layout of Feng Jia is a rectangular blocks bounded by streets. Spanning almost 1 km in diameter, you would have to plan your route carefully if you want to explore every nook and cranny. The best aid would be Maps on your iPhone or any navigation aid. If not, just ask your hotel staff for a map and they would explain to you.

There are many drinks stall there - red tea, milk tea, green tea... We felt that generally the teas there taste better than SG's, so just give anyone a try if you see locals queueing up (:

The vegetarian food is located near to another vegetarian stall that sells smelly tofu as well as yam balls 芋圆 (these are the stalls which Le Parker recommended which both of us are not really keen on. Do try them if you like these items! There's really a huge crowd at these 2 stalls!). The vegetarian stall is a good place to sit and enjoy the food. It sells lots of items including oyster omelette and smelly tofu too! We tried their Fried Chicken 咸酥鸡 and Fried Rice 招牌炒饭. The chicken was fried with 九层塔 - not sure what's the correct term in English, I googled and I guess its basil? However, the taste isn't as strong as the normal basil we eat in Western cuisine. It added onto the taste of the fried chicken yet not overpowering it. As for the fried rice, it's really one of the better ones we had in Taiwan. You can see a layer of oil, yet it wasn't too greasy at the same time. The rice was delicious and the egg taste was just right! (:

The Grilled Rice Roll 靓妞烤饭团 has both veggie (e.g. mushroom, cheese, chicken) and non-veggie option (beef, fish, pork, chicken). I tried the chicken (V) while my boy had beef. The chicken (V) has a lil bit of spicy taste in it, which resembled like otah (V). It tasted nice with the glutinous rice, but I felt that perhaps they could add some corn so that it wouldn't be too dry.
Remember what I said about queuing? This 全囯 stall has a waiting time of about 10 to 15 mins. If you are patient enough you will be rewarded with a huge, tasty, fleshy, juicy portion of chicken thigh or cutlet, whichever you may wish to order. The outer layer is fried crisp, and not too oily, giving off a great aroma of their special seasoning, while the juices will spurt when you bite deep into the chicken. No wonder the TV shows celebrities saying it is 爆浆. 50 NTD.

If you're looking for another interesting dish, the 爆浆鸡腿捲 is also an option. A similar dish would be our familiar frozen seaweed chicken roll. Just imagine it. Now make it bigger. And tastier. And juicier. And remove the seaweed. This is what the chicken roll is about. 35 NTD.

And that is the end of our Taichung adventure. If you do drop by Taichung, do not give Feng Jia a miss. Even locals patronize it and brags about it as the largest night market in Taiwan. With the amount of delicacies available, the only reason you would be disappointed is that you can't eat everything.

  3. Taiwan Day 3 and 4 : Kaohsiung

    Thursday, 7 June 2012

    Day 3
It's the beginning of Day 3 and we're moving north today. After a simple breakfast at Magical Kitchen (a small eatery just 3 minutes from Minimi - refer to previous post on Kenting) we checked out and waited for our ride. Due to some miscommunication, our departure was delayed by almost an hour. Nevertheless we still set off at great speed towards Kaohsiung, which would be an hour and 30 minutes away. We were sharing the taxi with another couple and a mother with 2 kids. Sheena managed to coax the baby to sleep! Isn't she capable and isn't the baby EXTREMELY cute?

We reached Mirador hotel at about 1 pm, and they prepared the room beforehand as we requested for early check in. The hotel is located around 5-8min walk from Xin Jue Jiang shopping district. We stayed on level 6 and got a corner room just as requested. The cafe and garden was just a level below us. The room was clean and spacious and the toilet definitely met my expectations. For 82 SGD per night, the hotel was definitely value for money.
One thing about Mirador is about their hearty breakfast! It comes in a set, and their vegetarian option tastes really good too! I was really surprised when the veggie option came with ham (V) as I have never eaten meat (V) in hotels before. You can choose either Chinese or Western breakfast. My boy and I had Western for both days as we're not a big fan of having porridge in the morning. The breakfast differs slightly by changing one of the small dishes. Another plus point was that the cafe was located right beside the garden! The door to the garden closes at 10pm, so you can bring food into the garden during evening time for dinner too! :D Oh, and did I mention, they have a bench in the lift too!

Back to our 3rd day, we asked the helpful staff for directions for the nearest vegetarian stall after we checked in, and we found one snuck away on Zhong Xiao Er Lu 忠孝二路.
It's a simple stall that looks kinda worn down, but the seating area looks clean and tidy thus we decided to give it a try. There are also several vegetarian stalls down the street but the variety of food that was sold was relatively lesser compared to the one we chose. Cost of our lunch: 90NT! :D
After lunch, we made our way to 新崛江 Xin Jue Jiang and 玉竹商圈 Yu Zhu Shang Quan for shopping! We've been there last June when we visited TW with a tour group. I remembered buying really good quality clothings and shoes there. There's a mixture of both female and male apparels there that are catered mostly to youths. Guys be prepared that Taiwan shirts have smaller cutting, and most shops don't have fitting rooms, so make some measurements before your purchase. For ladies, if your size is between UK 6-8, you would be able to fit it most apparels. Some tees are of smaller sizes and can only fit perhaps UK 4-6. XJJ & YZSQ isn't a very big place, it'll probably take around 3 hours to complete the place as some shops sell almost the same items.
There's a mobile soya bean curd cart around the area too. I'm a big fan of soya bean so I decided to get it as I saw several locals getting it too. I would have chosen red bean flavour but because I wanted to share with my boy (who dislikes red bean), I bought peanut flavour instead. The other flavours include barley, green bean and you have an option of hot/cold too.

The bean curd was really soft, and it wasn't too sweet too. If you prefer the normal sugar level from places like Mr Bean, perhaps you should ask more more sugar. Also, unless you're really hungry, get the small cup instead. It's really filling if you order the large cup. I'm not a big fan of the various topping s like red beans and so, but I must say the vendor was really generous with it!
We went back to our hotel to rest our feet and removed our shopping loots from our bags before leaving for 六合夜市 Liu He Night Market. This place requires us to train down to Formosa Boulevard Station (1 station away from Central Park). Kaohsiung has their own metro system, and since it was evening time already, we decided to buy their token instead of travel cards for that night. We bought their travel cards, which gave unlimited rides on the MRT for 2 days (230 NTD each) on the following day.

    六合夜市 Liu He Night Market
Just like many other night markets, Liu He gets crowded at around 7pm. Both locals and foreigners would visit this place. Its a long stretch down, so take your time to explore the street. Don't get too full from the start! (:

I must say, the potato and cheese bun is absolutely fantastic, the cheese is so stringy and the bun just tastes so good. I would have a lot of those if not for the fact that I had to save my tummy for the various goodies which lay in store. Only 35 NTD, don't miss it!

Just beside the stall selling the cheese bun is this stall selling Pepper Meat buns. Long queue, and it also costs 35 NTD, and there's a reason for the long queue. Tasty pork with some veggies (couldn't tell as I suck at vegetable identification) in a baked bun, it's a winner's combination.

Korean BBQ chicken (50 NTD) is also readily available, try those with more people queueing, although it's not a totally awesome dish, it's still more tasty, and cheaper than those found in Singapore.

One dish that deserves mention is the Quail Egg with shrimp. Although I've had quail egg many times it's the first time I had one with shrimp. The combination is interesting, and the topping of wasabi makes it great! Only 50 NTD for a box full of happiness.
After all the savoury food, we got mango ice blended to drink. The drink was terrible even though it looks delicious. The mango taste was really weak, and there were countless strands of mango fibre (not sure what is was) that we had to keep picking them out as we drank. We threw it away after a few mouthfuls
After dinner, we visited the Dome of Light which is located inside Formosa Boulevard station. The ceiling glass art is located in the centre of the station. Nothing much though. Took a few pictures and we left, returning to the hotel.

    Day 4
After our breakfast, we set off to Dream Mall 统一梦时代购物中心 (nearest MRT station: Kaisyuan). You can take their free shuttle bus 接驳车 from the MRT station to the shopping mall. The shuttle bus begins their service at 11am on weekdays and 10.30am on weekends/public holidays. There are signs showing you the pick-up point from the MRT. There are a few taxis waiting around the area offering 80NT to send you to Dream Mall, unless you're in a rush, you should wait for the bus which comes in every 10-15min and would bring you to the destination in around 10min. The maximum number of passengers that the bus carries is about 20.
Dream Mall is a huge shopping mall, selling relatively expensive and branded items. There is a total of 9 floors plus the roof level which has an amusement park with their biggest ferries wheel. We explored the place for awhile before spending most of our time in their arcade. We then had lunch in their food court as the food on the higher levels were much more expensive.

There are no vegetarian options in the food court except for a stall which sells fruity omelette rice. However, I personally do not like such sweet stuff for lunch so I had Japanese Curry and Omelette Rice with Keroke (my boy took the keroke). He had another Japanese Curry and Omelette Rice from another stall. Both curries tasted similar and the prices were almost the same at ~160-180NT.

After lunch, we explored to roof level. It's a great place to bring children as the ferries wheel have cartoon characters printed on it. The roller coaster there is also children-friendly, going at rather slow speed. However, because the weather was really sunny, we decided to give the place a miss and come back in the evening instead. The ferries wheel ride costs us 120NT per pax as showed our local student pass (150NT for adults). The ride was fairly short, maximum 10min, but the view was quite nice as we went up around evening time to see the sunset.
I really like My Melody! :D

Thereafter, we also purchased the photo (costs 200NT) that we took before we went up the ride. Do note that there will be a photo taken as well while you're on the ride. It'll be taken when the car is around 3/4 near the finishing point. There will be an announcement but it's better to get ready before that so that the shot can be taken nicely.
Once Dream Mall was conquered, we left for Pier 2 Art Centre 艺术 & Love Pier 爱码头. These 2 places are located around 10min walk from Yanchengpu Station. There are signs directing you to these places from the MRT.

The pathway along the harbour is filled with modern art sculptures, statues and decorated building. If you're a modern art fan, do drop by here to explore the surroundings. There are also several museums and galleries around the area too. Pretty interesting and creative work available for photos.

Continue to walk along the path and you'll find yourself reach the Love Pier in ~15-20min. From my research, the place is usually more crowded on weekends as there are more cruises then. Also, the night time scene is nicer as the lights along the river will start to light up. There are several cafes if you walk even further down and you can take a short break there with a cup of coffee and some desserts.

Dream mall has a "Duck tours" operating which comes down this river too, so it's another option if you want to explore this area.

Our Kaohsiung stay wouldn't be complete without a visit to 瑞丰夜市 Rui Feng Night Market which is located at Kaohsiung Arena station. Similarly, there are signs to bring you there and it's only perhaps 5 min walk from the MRT station.
Well, according to the LED screen located right above the night market, the stalls are only opened on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So, do arrange your visits at the right time! (:
The pork rice roll left me speechless. I saw it a couple of times under the name of 黄金卷 or Golden Roll, but didn't dare to try. It looked unappetizing when it's uncooked, but when the pork sizzles on the hot pan, until it turns a crispy bacon brown, you know it's going to be good. There are a few choices of sauces to go with your rice roll; I chose wasabi but with the flavour of the rice roll, I doubt any sauce would go wrong. It's available at 55 NTD, and I want to eat it again and again! It's pretty filling due to the rice, so it's best shared amongst friends if you want to try other stuff.

The QQ ball was really good! We didn't try it when we saw stalls selling it in Kenting and we decided to buy it as there was a queue from the start when we entered Rui Feng and when we were about to leave. And yes, it was really nice! QQ ball is made of tapioca, and its crispy on the outside and really chewy on the inside! Must try! :D

The fried pork ribs were sweet and proved a great dish when combined with their seasonings. There are quite a few stalls selling this dish and don't worry if you miss out, you can definitely find another stall selling this night snack.

The cheese tofu was really nice, the owner sprinkled cheese over the outer layer of the fried tofu and added cheese sauce generously over the tofu. Really yummy! :D The tofu was pretty fresh, and although it's your usual chinese silk tofu which doesn't have much taste on its own, it balances with the fried outer layer and the cheese.

As for the Bonita's 脆薯 (fries), we tried it because the stall really looks colourful and there were a long list of sauces that we could try. We chose the honey wasabi sauce as my boy loves wasabi. Don't worry if you're not a big fan of wasabi as the wasabi taste is covered by the sweet taste from the honey. It's really a good combi! The fries itself tasted really nice so thumbs up! :D

If you see stalls that have sitting space but deserted during peak hours, avoid them as the stall is empty for good reason. We did give one stall (braised pork rice) a try and the pork was really little. We weren't sure whether it was because we are tourists, bu nevertheless, avoid patronizing them!

With that we have come to the end of our Kaohsiung stay! Feel free to drop us questions and stay tune for our Taichung post! (:
