WooHoo It's HALLOWEEN! Well, maybe not everywhere, but at Dilly Beans it sure is. Aren't you just dying to pull out your spiders, bats and pumpkins? Come join our Halloween in April Challenge and do just that. The weather must have known 'cause it pouring out here. Can be gorgeous the day before but we often get rain to spoil the kiddie's fun. Naughty spirits! I was perusing my Halloween digis and came across #577 Monster's Pet Spider. He made me giggle. Gotta say that spider made me think of a toupee, hence the sentiment.
I printed him several times so I could fussy cut and pop the spider and his BIG eye. Added googly eyes to the spider and cut a piece of packaging for his BIG eye and popped it inside. The cool "creepy" sticker is from K&Co. Gotta say I find hair rugs really creepy. (Honestly, who does he think he's fooling?) LOL Come join the Halloween fun at Dilly Beans and see the fab inspiration by the team including our two new DT members, Jackie Cornfield and Lynne Walker. Welcome, ladies!
There's a new challenge at Dilly Beans and it's an easy one. Make an ATC. Just in case you aren't familiar, the dimension of Artist Trading Cards are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". Other than that, anything goes ( with a Dilly Beans image, of course). Since Easter is on it's way, I've used the adorable Amalia Easter Bunny and printed her 3 times in a row. She's colored with Copics and I've printed "HOP" right over her eggs. the little flowers are brads and I've backed it with green burlap that I reminded me of Easter grass. Hope you hop on over to the Challenge Blog to see the great work by my teamies and come join in and play.
Spring has sprung, the grass is ris, I know where the flowers is - at Dilly Beans! That's right, our new challenge at Dilly Beans is Flowerful. We want to see lots and LOTS of flowers. Now that I look at this, it's kinda dark for Spring, but I chose the MAMBI DP for all the flowers and colored my image accordingly.
The adorable image is #182 Flower Girl (Scroll down for yours). I cropped the flower and printed them several times in different sizes and flipped some so I could fussy cut more to add to the frame. All were colored with Copics. The mats were cut with my Spellbinders ovals. It's quite the blooming garden at Dilly Beans so be sure to pop over and see the lovely work by my teamies and hope to see you there. Just remember, you must use a Dilly Beans image to join in.
I'm aslo adding this to the Cute Card Thursday Floral Delights challenge, Southern Girls Floral Frenzy, and Fan-tastic Tues ATG (but must be square).
Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends out there in Blogland. Hope your day is filled with all the love you could ever imagine (and a few chocolates wouldn't be that awful, either. LOL) The Dilly Beaners have made some special Valentines for you all, too. Our Challenge this fortnight is Hearts (just in case you haven't gotten your fill). No shortage of Dilly Beans images with hearts so I'm sure we'll see lots of great stuff. I've tried something new (for me anyway) and done a canvas transfer using Shell's tut in the Mixed Media University Group on the Smeared and Smudged Forum. The image is the adorable #587 Penny's Heart String. After carefully rubbing off the paper, I colored her with Copics and added more of my conversation heart stickers. Love the texture the canvas provides. The background is dabbed with bubble wrap dipped in Distress Ink. I've fashioned the the heart with lace tape and added trim, crocheted flowers, pearls and a little crocheted butterfly, as well. I've wrapped some velvet ric rac around the edge to finish it off. Very sweet and girly, don'tcha think?
I'm entering this in the 613 Avenue Create ATG Challenge (couldn't quite manage the optional Create your Own with this one but still wanted to share.), the Outlawz Twisted Thursday ATG /w optional Add a Flower, TTRCD ATG Feb 11-17, Through the Purple Haze ATG and Papertake Weekly With a Heart.
There's a new challenge at Dilly Beans: Shaped Cards. No squares or rectangles, ya hear? Megan also has a fabulous assortment of adorable new digi gals at the Dilly Beans Shop and I've used one of my faves, #592 Aidynn's Winter Hat Framed. EEEK! Isn't her hat the cutest? I'm sort of embarrased not too have used my Cricut here, but I've had sort of a block lately, after years and years of doing elaborate shaped cards. Instead I pulled out my Nesties Grands and my cool Stampin' Up Festive Flurry stamp and die cut set and went to town. That beautiful jewel is Stampin' Up, too. The wire ribbon is from my stash and I'll tell you a little tip if you want to use ribbon for a sentiment as I did here. Tape your ribbon to a strip of card stock before cutting the ends to length and it will be easier to cut, you'll avoid fraying, and it will be easier to adhere with tape or foam to whatever project you choose.
We've had an unseasonably warm and dry Winter here in CA, but I know many of you have been bombarded by snow and frigid temps. That was my inspiration this week and I even finished the inside of my card, just for you. HUGS!
Oh, and one last thing. Be sure to stop by the Challenge Blog to see some of the newest Dilly Beans in action...sooo stinkin' CUTE!!!!! And if you act fast (like I mean TODAY!) you can get them 2 for one. Hurry! Don't miss it!

This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down for the new Simply Steampunk Challenge. Busy, busy Friday. Our new challenge at Dilly Beans is Non-Traditional Christmas Colors. Ummm...although the DT did some lovely pastels, I'm still in a Creepmas mode so...what can I say? I've used one of my fave images, #161 Zombie Christmas Elf and colored him with Copics in shades of gray. The plan was to use him as a topper for a bag of hard licorice "coal" but do you think I could find any? (Obviously not) Had to improvise with torn paper and a bunch of Glossy Accents but it doesn't really show in the pic. You can see it on the candy on his had and eyes, though. Glued little jingle bells to his collar, too. The sentiment is a combo of Alpha stickers and computer generation and the bottom black icicles (they be DEADLY!) are from an MS punch. Please check out the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog for more fabulous inspiration.
I'm also entering this in the PunkYouGirl Black Christmas Challenge, the LOC Winter or Holidays, and 613 Avenue Create ATG or Gift Packaging Twist (planned on packaging but it was not meant to be. LOL).
WooHoo! Looky looky! I've already decorated for Christmas (on my Blog, anyway). Hope everyone had a fab Thanksgiving and enjoys the holiday weekend, whatever you do. It's Friday and that means it's another Challenge at Dilly Beans and it's a real easy one. ANYTHING GOES WITH A DILLY BEANS IMAGE. I've done a little Christmas card using the adorable #304 Christmas Owl (scroll down to find him). The embossed frame was laying on my table and worked well with the little village DP so there ya go. The sentiment is computer generated and I've added some buttons 'cause I thought they looked cute.
I've colored the little guy with Copics, fussy cut and popped him. Then added one of the glasses paper clips that De insisted I get when she was out in CA a couple of weeks ago. What a HOOT! (Sorry, couldn't resist) Thanks, De! Check out the fab stuff the rest of the DT has done and come play along for a chance to win some Dilly Beans images of your own.
But if you just can't wait, you can enjoy Black Friday savings from the comfort of your computer. Now THAT's my way to shop, today anyway.
I'm also entering this in the Charisma Cardz Christmas Challenge, Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes, the Outlawz Friday Alcohol Markers Challenge ATG w/optional Christmas Twist, LEJ Designs Buttons, Bows or Beads, and TTRCD Nov 26th-Dec 2nd.
Well, it's Friday and time for another Dilly Beans Challenge. I almost didn't make it. I'm battling and cold and feel like crap and something has taken over my computer and ads are popping up all over the place and there's links to stuff on the blog that I didn't put there. WTF? Soo what is this project? It's a little Post It Note holder. Sorry, best I could do, but they do make awfully cute stocking stuffers and there are tons of framed Dilly Beans images that are perfect for them. Here I've used #534 Nutmeg Framed. All paper piecing but her face. (I love to paper piece and sooo many Dilly Beans imges are just perfect for it.) I've added Nesties squares to the piece that wraps around the post it to jazz it up a bit and a tab on top for the little pen. It's safe to say that my teamies have been a bit more creative than I, so please stop by Dilly Beans and check it out. (I'm going back to bed.)
I'm also entering this in the Creative Fingers ATG w/ Optional Paper Piecing.
Happy Friday! It's time for another Dilly Beans Challenge and what better theme this November than "Thanks"? My card was inspired by my dear DT sister Jenn, truly an angel and fabulous friend. I've used the adorable #512 Bless You Penelope Framed. I colored her with Copics and paper pieced her dress. Penelope has little fairy wings, but I've added die cut, embossed and glittered wings from the Cuttlebug Vintage Collage Emboss Plus folder (big angel wings, like she deserves) and used my craft knife to carefully cut around the image and slide them in place. Of course I added hearts, because hers is huge, and a banner sentiment. Jenn has touched the lives of so many and it's a privilege to call her my friend. I'm so excited that we will finally be meeting in person for the first time this Sunday, before she moves back East. Sniff, sniff!
Stay tuned for pix.

OOOPS! I'm a little late in posting my Dilly Beans this week Friday was a very busy day. Our challenge this week is Fall Colors. I'm always a bit sad when a holiday passes and of course Halloween is no exception. I have a tendency to stretch out the season so my decorations linger, and linger, and...LOL So I couldn't help using one of the fab new images Megan has added to the shop. This is #576 Monster's Candy Garland. Isn't he cute? He obviously doesn't want Halloween to end either, hence the sentiment. I've colored with Copics and added some eyets to thread with twine through the tab. Pretty CAS but fun to make. Be sure to stop by Dilly Beans to see the fab inspiration by my teamies and come play along.
I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Monday ATG, Simon Says Wednesday ATG, and Craftitude ATG with String or Twine.
It's another Friday Challenge at Dilly Beans and we're continuing with our month long Halloween theme. Lots of opportunities to use the fab creepy cute images Dilly Beans is know for. I've created a tag this time using #456 Teeghan's Spider Framed. I've printed her directly on DP and then paper pieced her hair and skullie bow. The tag itself is recycled Prima Marketing packaging and the checked and striped DP bits just happened to be lying on my table from??? Wow, I used SCRAPS! Go ME! The rest of the stuff are stickers from Authentique Enchanted pack. Ribbons from J's. Easy peasy. My teamies have again outdone themselves. We just LOVE Halloween at Dilly Beans, so be sure to check them out. There's a fab BOGO sale running at the SHOP through Sunday ...no tricks. Isn't it time to treat yourself? Come on! No calories and they won't rot your teeth. You know you wanna.
I'm also entering this in Use it Tuesday Scraps Pieces and Odds and Ends, Paper Pretties Halloween, and Corrosive Challenges Cute and Creepy.
It's our first Friday Challenge in October and our favorite time of year at Dilly Beans, so all month long we'll be doing HALLOWEEN! WooHoo! Still weekly challenges with weekly winners but you there's so many creepy cute images at Dilly Beans that we want to see them ALL! I've used #275 Framed Bat Ghoul and colored him up with Copics in traditiional Hallween colors. The bat in the corner is an ancient sticker from? and I've attached it with a Halloween mini clothespin from M's. I've embossed the center stirp with the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder and added some checked Halloween ribbon. I kinda like the combo of check, dots and stripes, don't you? Such fun examples by the team on the Challenge Blog so be sure you check them out. And come celebrate Halloween with us all month long but remember to please use a Dilly Beans image.
I'malso entering this in the Simon Says Wednesday Going Dotty Challenge.
Our challenge this week at Dilly Beans is Glitter and Jewels. I used one of Megan's fab whimsical flowers, #549 Hello Framed, to make a fairly CAS all occasion card. Not a whole lot of coloring to be done, but I used Copics in Autumn colors and applied adhesive gems. The frame is cut with a Nesties square and both the image and mat are popped for dimension. I made the glitter strips by applying 1/4" Terrifically Tacky Tape to the mat (one at a time)and sprinkling with glitter. Use a brush to clean off the excess and you have fabulously straight lines. The black beaded lines are peel offs. Kinda different for me, but it was fun. Please visit the Challenge Blog for more fabulous inspiration from my DT sisters and be sure to come play along.
I'm also enering this in the Sarah Hurley Autumn Glow Challenge, the House of Gilli ATG/Fall, 4 Crafty Chicks Bingo (using Flowers, Sentiment, Bling), Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes, and the Addicted to Stamps and More CAS Challenge.
