BBTB2 Blog Hop Winner a Some Awards.

I am the worst at posting Blog Awards so I apologize if I've missed you. As it is, I had to go back a month to find this lovely Styish Blogger Award for the fabulous Jenn(StampinAngel Jenn)! Thank you so much Jenn! Bet you thought I completely forgot! Now there are rules to this which I choose to completley ignore. LOL One of which is revealing 8 things about myself. Seriously, I'm boring? If you read my blog you already know that. LOL

I also received the Versatile Blogger award from my dear DT sister Kerry(LakulCards) from the Cuttlebug Spot and also Lisa from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. Thank you so much, ladies!

Now Lisa didn't have enough abuse, she not only gave me the lovely Versatile Blogger Award which I didn't get around to acknowledging until today, but also the BFB Award. Holy moley, girly! You're a Sweetheart! Oh oh, again asking for the FACTS for that Versatile Blogger Award (and of course, the Stylish Blogger Award)! Well, maybe a few...

1) I'm an only child with no kids (I guess the buck stops here)

2) I'm a 16 year old living in the body of a _ _ year old. (how cruel!)

3) I'm a natural blonde who has found redheads have more FUN!

4) I'm easily bored so I like to mix it up when I craft.

5) I craft in silence except when I'm talking to myself or my BFF in my head

6) I believe wine is the Fountain of Youth, or at least SHOULD be.

7) I live in a dream world.

8) I really DO have Popsicle Toes!

Well, that ought to do it for Awards, 1 & 2, but passing them on to as many people as required is pretty darn impossible so if the award fits, GRAB IT! You can say it's from me.

and the BFB Award is to be given to people who consistantly visit your blog and leave comments regularly. Oh YIKES! Got lots of those too. Now you buddies know who you are so I won't mention you all and feel free to grab it, but I do want to give a shout out to KIM H (Scrappin Mom Of One Inspiring Little Boy) who always makes me feel like the most talented crafter on the planet. I really appreciate the love and support!

And finally, the moment you all have been waiting for, the winner of the $40 gift certifcate to Custom Crops is....... Number 24!

Congratulations No 24, COOLNANA 72! Who wrote:

(I'm wondering what the 72 stands for. It's the year I...oh, never mind...makes me sound OLD!)

To claim your prize please email me at dlmundinger(at) yahoo (dot) com. Thanks to all who participated in the hop. I hope you come back soon and often. And thank you again to Custom Crops for your generous sponsorship. Lots of Cricut goodies on sale there...just sayin!

Attitude? Moi?

This card is sort of an apology to those who've had to put up with me for the last, let's say, week and a half. Trust me, I've been a real W (make that a B)itch. (Just ask Lillie! LOL) However, I'm sure whoever called me that today is extremely sorry (aren't you?) and will make it up to me in countless ways. : D Anyway, only SPECIAL people get to see that side of me.

This brings me to the current Stampotique challenge which is Spooky, Creepy, Crawly. Well, maybe not so much but I think Clover makes a fab witch and the expression on her face is pretty creepy (especially with a green complexion). Her hat was cut on my cricut from Mini Monsters. the sentiment is computer generated. (so that means I'm entering it, in case you missed that)

This also seems the perfect time to thank Andrea for passing on this (lovely?) blog award to me. Attitude? Moi? (Bite me!) No hon, just kidding, I consider an honor and thank you VERY much. So I have to list 3 things that make me different. HA! and then nominate 5 other bloggers of boastful attitude.

#1 I enjoy breaking rules so I'm not gonna answer.

#2 Refer to #1

#3 Can't you read?

Now on to 5 others with Attitude.

1. Margie!!!!! For those who know her, no explanation needed.

2. Carole This may come as a surprise to some, but not to Margie and me. LOL

3. Heather Even more of a surprise, eh? Don't let that sweet Soccer Mom exterior fool you. This chick's got all kinds of hidden 'tude!

4. Marlene who already got this award in another form, but Attitude with a capital A! (I just HAD to include HER!)

5. MARLENE AGAIN! Trust me, this chick's got enough 'tude for 100000 of these awards. (and she farts like a pro!)

Okay, so maybe tomorrow I'll get serious again. xx

Bah! Humbug! Charms Challenge and A Blog Award

I was determined to not wait until the last minute this week for Bah!Humbug! so I took a break from my DT stuff to create this little tag. The challenge this week is Charms and after looking through my stash I came upon this little snowflake I'd done with Shrink Plastic. It was cut on my Cricut using the Very Merry Tags cartridge. The tag itself was cut from Plantin Schoolbook on both regular and shadow at 4". The cute little Stampotique stamp is "I'm Cold" by Jill Penney. See, not all Stampotique stamps are creepy. (And can you imagine that Jill is married to Daniel Torrente of the creepy stamps? go figure) The DP's are from S.E.I.'s Wintersong pack including the paper pieced jacket. The rest of her is colored with Copics. The rub on is Melissa Frances.

A little popping, some ribbon and wired stuff that looks to me like snow balls and that's it.

Now before I get on to the blog award, I have to apologize to the 25 or so people who have given me awards since Feb. of this year and I've never posted. I truly do appreciate them, but when they started coming fast and furiously and I started to get behind the whole process got so totally overwhelming, checking back to previous posts to find what award and who they came from, etc. etc. , so I just gave up. So SOOOO sorry my friends. I will try to do better but...

However, I did receive the Cherry on Top award from Lisa, Karen, Oh Snap and Sandra (critterbugg365) and I thank you ladies sooo much. Please visit these lovely ladies by clicking on their names and leave them some love. You know the drill for these awards so I won't go over that, but I do need to post

3 things I love about myself

1. I love that I don't feel or act my age

2. I love that I've found a hobby I truly enjoy and look forward to every day

3. I love that I still believe in Santa Claus, Fairy Tales, Love at First Sight and Happily Ever After (not necessarily in that order)

And the picture I love

Goliath, relaxing on Daddy's lap,

not a care in the world.

Last but not least, I'm supposed to pass this award on to 5 bloggers and you know that's impossible for me to choose but I do want to recognize one sweet and talented friend who is relatively new to the blogging world (since June). I always enjoy her encouraging comments and want the rest of the crafty world to find her blog and appreciate her creativity like I do so

LISA, this one's for you!

Christmas is... and a Blog Award

I've been in the mood to use some of the MANY new things I've been purchasing lately but haven't gotten around to playing with. Here I made another simple card using one of the new larger format Cuttlebug folders, my new MS holly border punch, some new WIRED ribbon from M's (those cool swirls will STAY swirled!) and The Christmas Long Border from The Cutting Cafe. Really quick and simple but I love how it came out.

Inside I've used another of the many Christmas Card Inside Greetings, also from The Cutting Cafe. These are a life saver for me and you'll be seeing plenty more in the future. I'm so happy that I now have my Printmaster program so I can change the color of these printable stamps. Regina has full instructions HERE for working with the stamps if you're interested. Instructions for resizing and the like too.

I also want to thank my dear friend Leah for this very special blog award. Her friendship means the world to me. Love ya Sweetie! Because I'm feeling really thankful for all you the friend I've met through this wonderful hobby I want to pass it on to each and every one of you. Feel free to copy it and paste it to your blog and say it's from me. I truly appreciate your inspiration and support.

The Cuttlebug Spot "Give Thanks" and Thank You Smita

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot we are kicking off November with a Thanksgiving challenge. Having a rough week last week my card is sort of simple but I am pleased to announce I've gotten the hang of those darn around the corner punches from MS. Thank you Margie. Aren't you proud? Looky looky, the corners and borders don't even match but I still managed to make it around the block with no mishaps, how about that!? LOL This is an A2 card which I almost NEVER make and I used a portion of the Autumn Type folder done with Coredinations card stock and sanded. A couple of mats and cool Tim Holtz Metal Foliage and I was done. All of my Design Team sisters did much more fabulous projects than I did this week so click HERE to view. Also, if you play along you have the chance of winning a 20.00 gift certificate from Custom Crops (where you can get that cool Metal Foliage, seriously I love it!)

I have also recieved an Award from Smita. Thank you so much! Smita is from India and we met when she won my Blog Candy many months ago. Then she vanished from blogging for a bit. I'm so glad to see her back and creating. Please go visit her blog and say "hi". We don't want her to disappear for so long EVER again. Since I just answered the questions that accompany this lovely award I won't bore you again, but click HERE and scroll down if you're interested.

Box Contents Revealed and MORE Blog Awards!

Have you been on pins and needles? Truly I didn't intend to keep you all in suspense, in fact I thought I'd be posting not only what was IN the box, but what I DID with it by now. Guess you're gonna have to wait for the end result until at least next Monday but here's a peek at what I received: an Indie Art Cricut cartridge, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and Circle Fragments, Prima Clear Paintables, a piece of natural canvas fabric, a black patent belt, and a can of Mountain Dew Code Red Cherry Soda. (Guess they thought we needed a little jolt to get through this challenge. LOL) Custom Crops certainly has a sense of humor. Click HERE to view our instructions.

Now MORE blog awards! Thank you to Sandy who received all three of these awards and was kind enough to pass them along to me. Sandy and I have been friends for awhile and I'm looking forward to actually meeting her in person in Sept. She's such a sweetheart but seems to suffer from a bit of lack of confidence. Please visit her blog and let her know just how wonderful her creations truly are. As Sandy did on her blog (she said because she's older she can break the rules. LOL Well that works for me too!) I'm going to pass these all along in one big award package to some of my sweet friends.
Lillie, a super friend, TCS and TCC DT sister and inspiration who keeps me going with at least one daily phone call.
Margie, another dear friend, TCS and CC DT sister, and fabulous crafter who never fails to make me laugh and brings out my true character (don't tell! LOL)
Sandi, BBTB DT sister and true artist with a lovely gentle soul who's always there to help and inspire. She never ceases to amaze me with her creativity.
Nilda, TCS Team Leader and a super sweet and generous person. I'm so honored to be a part of her team.
Regina, a name EVERYONE knows and loves. BBTB Team leader and creative genius behind The Cutting Cafe. Her inspiration and support means so much! It's such an honor to be a part of BOTH of her teams.
Thanks you all for being such great friends and inspiration. xxD

Inquiring Minds Want to Know and 2 Blog Awards!

So what's been going on in my life? Well, awhile ago I received this box in the mail. WooHoo, who is it from? What could it be? Let me tell you it was a challenge like no other. Jezebel was beside herself with curiousity but fortunately she's still alive (as am I , although yesterday I wasn't sure I'd make it. LOL). Stay tuned to find out the contents and what this all means.

I also receive a brand spankin' new award from 2 of my blogging friends. Thank you so much Kaye and Jenn. Both of these lovely ladies have fairly new but totally awsome blogs so be sure to click on their names and give them some love. I'm honored, how sweet of you to think of me! I know I'm supposed to pass this along to 12 others, but I'm running on empty today (after dealing with the box contents) but I will pass it on to a few. These gals are very talented and dear friends from the Cricut message board and also are fairly new to the blogging world. Here you go. Don't forget to visit them too!
Love you guys!

OMG! Another Award!

Oh my goodness, I was reading my comments about my blog award post and I was pleased and surprised to receive yet another one, this time from Piali. Thank you so much, Piali! I met Piali a couple of months ago when she won my BBTB Blog Hop candy and since then I've noticed that she is the absolute Queen of the Blog Challenges! Her work is fabulous and I'm amazed at how she can maintain such creativity and still do so many! Her blog is a real treat so be sure to stop by and say "Hi". I'm supposed to list 7 interesting things about myself and I did give it some thought. Since I think I've listed them before and can't think of 7 new things, if you're interested you can click HERE. Again, I pass this on to all of my blogging friends. I find inspiration from all of you each and every day!

Blog Awards and the Winner of the BBTB Blog Hop Candy

I am terribly remiss in posting my blog awards. I so love receiving each and every one, but sometimes they slip by before I realize and when I do, I've often no time to give them the appreciation they deserve. Since it's Aug 1 I'm going to try to catch up and at least publicly thank the dear friends who have honored me if not follow all the rules required to accept them. Here goes:

This is a new one for me and a very treasured one because it's about friendship. I cherish the friendships I've made through this wonderful hobby of mine and feel so lucky to have made what I hope to be lasting connections. Thank you dear sweet Leah, Vicki and Scrappinlil! All of these ladies are so talented and have pretty new blogs so be sure to click on their names and go say "Hi".

Next is the Kreativ Blogger award from Iamtutu, Kelly, Heather, and Kathy. Wonderful things await you on their blogs! Thank you so much ladies, it is truly an honor.

Next is the One Lovely Blog Award. I love this with the little cup of roses. I'm rarely blog hopping without a cup of something hot to sip on. Thank you Nita, Tracy and Shazza, your blogs are so much fun to visit. Oh and BTW, Shazza has a fabulous new challenge site called From Screen 2 Scrap. Check it out, how much fun is that!?

Next is the Honest Scrap award from my dear friend Margie. We are Design Team sisters for both The Cuttlebug Spot and Custom Crops and she does fabulous work! Margie is such a busy gal that not only did she forget to post this on her sidebar, but she also forgot to tell me she had so honored me and I just happened upon it by chance. LOL Trust me, we're great friends so she won't be offended by my teasing her like this (I hope!) but go check it out to see if she gave you this award. Click HERE. (I'm doin' your work for you gal, even if it is a month late!) HeeHee! :D

This fun award is from my dear friend Nancy. She's been another busy gal this summer but when she's crafting, oooh boy is her stuff amazing! Thanks sweetie! I could use a glass of this about now.

Last but certainly not least is this award from sweet Sandy! Truly I feel this award should have been given the other way around. Sandy has ALWAYS been a great supporter of mine and her kind comments on the Cricut mb, my blog, and at Custom Crops always make my day. Thank you dear friend, and all of you who have honored me with these awards. I certainly hope I haven't missed anyone and I'm all caught up. If you tally these babies up and multiply by the number of people I need to pass them on to, I hope you'll forgive me for not passing them out individually. As it is it's taken me 3 hours to hunt everyone down and link them up so feel free, dear readers, to accept one of these awards from me with love. xx
Now on to what you've REALLY been waiting for...the WINNER of my BBTB Blog Hop candy is #3, chosen by my random org DH. Congratulations Jeannie Phillips! Please send me a pm or an email with your address and I'll send it right out. Hugs! D

You Made Me Smile! Thank you Margie!

My sweet friend Margie gave me this adorable award and I couldn't be happier. With so much going on we haven't been able to connect nearly as often as we like. I treasure her friendship and sincerely hope she finds something to smile about each and every day! I agree with her that all of the blogs I visit make me smile but since I can only choose five I will pass this along to Lillie, Caryn, Leah, Susan, and Heidi. Be sure to click on these talented ladies names to go straight to their blogs and you'll be smiling too!

A Day at Scrapbook Expo and Some Lovely Blog Awards

I'm sorry no card to post today but I've been busy shopping 'til I dropped at the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, CA. I'd take a picture of all the goodies I bought but I'm afraid that would incriminate me terribly. Fortunately DH wasn't home so I could sneak my bags upstairs unnoticed. LOL It should suffice to say that I made several trips to the car before I was through.

I'm also way behind at posting some lovely blog awards. The first is from Caryn at Glitter Me Silly. She is an amazing crafter and fabulous mother to 5 (yes, count'em 5 adorable children) yet looks like a sweet child herself. If you love bling be sure to visit her wonderful blog. Thank you Caryn for this honor. P.S. She's also has some yummy candy available on her blog so click HERE to comment to win.

The second is from Rosy and Nicci. Rosy at Box Clever Papercrafts has some of the most fabulous sentiments I've ever read in her gorgous cards. Some are beautiful and touching and some make you LOL. Be sure to stop by her blog by clicking HERE. You can visit Nicci at Procraftination (isn't that just the most adorable name for a blog?) Nicci is also from across the pond and has some amazing things on her blog including a fabulous tutorial on making beautiful ribbon roses. Click HERE to check it out.
That makes 24 people I should be passing these awards along to. As far as I'm concerned, all of you who visit me and comment and have blogs of your own truly deserve these honors as well so please accept them with my heartfelt gratitude and admiration. Hugs! D

Also please don't forget my own BLOG CANDY. You have until April 1 to comment HERE.

Wow, More Blog Awards and Some Candy!

I'm so pleased to have received some lovely awards. The first award is from Michelle and Margie. Michelle is a super talented fellow BBTB Design Team member and is celebrating her 1 year blogaversary this week. Yea Michelle! To celebrate she is offering some yummy blog candy so be sure to click HERE to stop by her blog and see her lovely work. Leave a comment you may even get lucky. Margie is a dear friend from the Cricut message board who is doing amazing work participating in numerous challenges and contests. She has a great sense of humor and always manages to got me out of a funk. Click HERE to be amazed by her creativity. The second award is from Rosy, another Cricut Message board friend from across the pond. Rosy's cards are so exquisite and professional looking and her sentiments are some of the most beautiful I've ever read. Be sure to click HERE to view her wonderful work. Thank you so much dear friends. I'm truly honored.

Now I know I need to list 7 things I love, but I'm taking the easy way out. Click HERE if you're interested. LOL Also, if I'm counting right, I need to pass awards along to at least 21 people so I'm going to give a blanket award to all of you who follow this blog, or visit occasionally and leave the sweet comments that make my day. Feel free to display these awards on your blog and let people know I think you're fabulous.

Fabulous Blog Candy, a Darling Award, and a Beautiful Lunch

I was soooo excited to have won the amazing blog candy Laura gave away for her blogaversary! Her BLOG is such a treat anyway and to actually be rewarded for visiting was such a surprise. Can't wait to play with all of the goodies I got! And she's featured in all of the publications she included. Congratulations Laura and THANK YOU SO MUCH!

And speaking of Blog Candy, my friend Sharon has been having such fun and doing such an amazing job with her new Magnolia stamps that she is giving away a darling set of stamps so you can play with her too. She's such a sweetheart to share her newfound love. Click HERE to enter and be sure to check out all of the lovely cards she's made with her Magnolias .

The blog award is from my dear friend Lillie. Not only is she an amazing crafter, but we speak on the phone nearly every day. (Sometimes twice! LOL) She inspires me immeasurably. Thank you so much, girlfriend! Couldn't keep those juices flowing without you! I'd like to pass this award on to my friends Margie, Susan, Ruth, DeeDee, and Shelly. Click on their names to view their blogs and I'm sure your creative juices will be flowing in no time!

Sorry I've taken a few days off from crafting, but Tues was such a gorgeous day that DH and I decided to drive up to Napa Valley and have lunch at one of our favorite places, Auberge du Soleil. Lunch was amazing and just take a look at this view from our table on the balcony. Priceless!

A Lovely Blog Award from Linda and Day 29

I am so pleased and thankful to receive this lovely blog award from Linda at Pinklilacs. She is a sweet and creative lady and I am honored that she thought of me. Be sure to stop by her BLOG to see her beautiful work. Now I am to list 7 things that I love about me.
1) I love that even after 33 years of marriage when I look into my husband's eyes my heart still flutters.
2) I love that when we talk to our kitties we refer to ourselves as "Mommy" and "Daddy".
3) I love that in retirement I have the freedom to craft as often as I want.
4) I love that all of my friends and I are a mutual admiration society.
5) I love that through blogging, inspiration is only a click away.
6) I love that even though crafting has replaced much of my exercise I haven't gained any weight. LOL
7) I love that most of my dreams have come true.
As far as sharing this award I cannot possibly narrow it down to 7 people. So to all of you who encourage and inspire me daily, this award is for you. Please feel free to post it on your blog with love from me to you. (But if you do, I better see a list. LOL)

Now on to my quick card for day 29 in Jen's card a day challenge. Thought I'd play a bit more with my new Nesties and tried cutting a shape with 2 dies inside each other at the same time. Lo and behold it worked! I embossed it that way too. Then I cut another hot pink square that I cuttled with Swiss dots to show through the opening. (BTW Lillie, cutting right side up took care of my problem, thanks!) I also wanted to use my new Cuttlebug folder that came with the baby words die cut plate. Love those big dots and the space in the middle which I mostly covered up with ribbon. Added bunches of butterflies both Cuttlebug and Martha Stewart, some silver adhesive beads and "dream". So that's all for today folks but be sure to stop by Jen's blog to see what she came up with today.

A Lovely Blog Award from Caryn and Day 20!

I'm so proud to receive this award from Caryn (ScottishScrapper on the Cricut message board). She is a lovely person and terrific crafter and I thank her from the bottom of my heart. I think her blog name is just the cutest and it's so inspiring to see her work. Please visit her at Glitter Me Silly. To accept the award I must list 5 more addictions (wow, I'm working on #11-15 now LOL) so here goes:

11) Altoids Cinnamon gum (I should have listed this at #1, I'm a chain chewer and buy 20 tins at a time)
12) Collecting Cricut cartridges (#32 comes tomorrow and I've only had my Cricut since May)
13) Playing with Cricut Design Studio
14) Looking at magazines (but Vogue and InStyle have been replaced by Cards and PaperTrends)
15) Wine (now, now, I don't need AA or anything, but I'm especially fond of red which goes so well with my previously listed addictions pizza and chocolate.)
Now I'm supposed to pass this on to 5 other deserving people but honestly I'm encouraged and inspired every day by the wonderful people on the Cricut mb, my fabulous new blogging friends, and each of you who visits my blog and posts a comment. Please feel free to post this award on your blog with love from me to you. I would however like to call out Jen in particular. Her Card a Day Challenge has gotten me over a major slump and has encouraged me to craft up a storm this month. Be sure to visit her fabulous blog HERE.
Now on to the card. My BFF was telling me over the weekend that she had talked to her mom in Rhinelander Wisconsin and it was 40 below zero and they were still gonna have the annual snowmobile festivities and race across the lake in nearby Eagle River. (Are you kidding me?!) I made this card for her using my Graphically Speaking cartridge and welded the 40 and ! from Plantin Schoolbook to it using Design Studio. I used the snowflakes Cuttlebug folder on the glitterstock background and Swiss dots on the letters. The cool snowflakes are from Me & My Big Ideas and they're popped for dimension. Inside the Brrr... is also from Graphically Speaking. Glad it's still in the 70's here (at least for today). This completes day 20 in Jen's Card a Day Challenge. WOOHOO!

Be sure to stop by for a visit.

I also found out I won the Bitten by the Bug Star Contest and a wonderful prize from Sweetarts Paperie. Krista and Penny put together the yummiest kits so I'm sooo excited. Thank you so much Regina for the super contest and Krista and Penny for your sponsorship.(Is that a word?) I promise to return and share the love but DH is chomping at the bit. We're driving to the coast for lunch (with the top down) today because it's been in the 70's all week. Jealous y'all?
