July Challenge at Christmas Cards All Year Round is UP!

So, the July challenge at CCAYR is to use red, white and blue. I know, it seems strange for Christmas card colors, but believe me, it's very cool! Just check out all the DT cards - http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.com/. I am also on the DT at CCAYR and my July card is shown below. I used some Friendly Forest paper, the Cricut, a beautiful flower that I won in some FAB blog candy from Ann, a little twine and a border punch for the white side border. Super easy, but effective I think. So.....Go check out the other DT cards and please join us for our July challenge. You can try out this unusual color scheme and get 5 Christmas cards done - in JULY! Thanks for stopping by today :)

Christmas Cards All Year Round - May Challenge

I'm posting this a little late, but better late than never I guess :) The challenge at CCAYR this month is to use flowers on your Christmas card. This is my DT card. I cut the poinsettias with the Cricut using the Joys of the Season cartridge and added stickles. The pp is by Paper Studio. The little branches and the sentiment are rub-ons by American Crafts. Be sure to check out CCAYR for all the great cards by the DT this month. Also, you should join us in participating this month in the challenge. You can get some great Christmas cards done and be ahead of the game this year! Thanks for stopping by!

My first day on the Design Team!!!

Today starts my 3 month adventure as a DT member at Christmas Cards All Year Round and I'm so excited!! All of the 'ausome' DT ladies have posted some beautiful cards for our kick off. Please click on my title above and go check out all the eye candy over there! You should join in the challenges too! If you do, you will have a TON of Christmas cards done by December and wouldn't that be handy? So, come on over and join in! The April challenge is to make cards using photos on them. This is my DT card. The photo is from our Alabama snow we got in March this year. I cut the scalloped circles with Cricut's Mini Monograms cartridge and added a sticker in the center. The little trees were cut from Christmas Cheer. The ribbon is from my stash. I think it came from Hobby Lobby. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to go check out Christmas Cards All Year Round!

I MADE THE DESIGN TEAM!!!

Well, I am so excited to let you all know that I am now on the Design Team at Christmas Cards All Year Round! Deanne and Tamara are so talented and they have a great group of people that participate over there. I'm so looking forward to working with them and the DT members on some great challenges. I remember last Christmas (and several past ones too!) when I was in a whirlwind trying to get Christmas cards completed for family and friends. It seems that with Christmas shopping, parties and family get togethers, there wasn't much time to make my cards. Well, at Christmas Cards All Year Round, you make 5 cards each month (or more if you'd like) and by December, you've got 55 (or more) cards made. What could be easier than that?! Also, if you get your 5 cards done each month, based on the challenges, you could win the monthly prize. Now I ask you, who needs to have 55 cards done for Christmas and not have to do them all at once? All of us! Also, Deanne and Tamara offer us up some great tutorials and other goodies during the month, so it's just a fun place to be. So, grab your friends and all your crafting buddies and head on over to Christmas Cards All Year Round. You'll enjoy the challenges and tutorials and get all your Christmas cards done EARLY this year!! Click on the header for this post or check out the link on the right of my blog and come join us. Thanks for stopping by!

Pink Christmas ???

Yes! It's the challenge this week at the Christmas All Year Round blog. We were asked to use pink and green, polka dots and 2 flowers on the card. I couldn't believe I had the perfect Christmas paper for this challenge! The patterned paper is all Paper Studio. The flowers are Greenhouse by American Crafts and the ribbon is some that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I ran the tree thru the Cuttlebug using the swirls embossing folder. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch around my greeting. This was fun! It's my first time to participate with Christmas All Year Round and I look forward to their next challenge. TFL!!
