Moving Along With A New Baby!

Hello folks, no don't panic I'm not expecting! It's just  a post title lol Though I have to say I love babies and I wish my kids would hurry up and have some!! I'm desperate to be a Granny, I know I know I'm far too young lol (I wish)

Well I'm back from my holiday in the sun and burnt to a crisp too, a lovely shade of peeling, red and brown with the odd bit of sun bleached hair thrown in for good measure!!  The temperatures were sky high and peaked at 42 degrees on the Saturday. It was really good to get away but I don't think I've managed to resolve my problems and I kind of wish I was still there!

I had this card all made ready and scheduled as today we have a brand new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and the lovley Marita is hosting her
first challenge with us and has chosen

Babies

Here is what I came up with
Using the image First Steps from our Sponsor this week

Don't you just love gingham on baby cards? To me they go hand in hand but then I like gingham! I did a bit of cutting with my nesties to create the frame and though it doesn't look like it in this picture, the ribbon does match! The sentiment is a rub on that I have had forever!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge, the prize and some gorgeous inspiration from my teammies this week.

That's all from me, thank you for stopping by. I will get myself all sorted out and unpacked and holiday washing done then I'll be around to visit you all

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges
Here Come The Boys - Little Boy Blue

Going Dotty @ MAWTT

Good morning guys, another scheduled post from me as I'm back off to Leicester today to visit my Mum. I seem to have been flying around everywhere this last week! I'm only going for the day as Friday is my wedding anniversary and I think my husband has something planned! LOL no doubt I'll be disappointed. 29 years, I can hardly believe it.
My trip to London and the Royal Variety Show was amazing!! I never thought of myself as an opera fan but Andreas Bochelli (if that's how you spell it!) was spine tingling!! Robbie Williams and Rod Stewart were pretty fab too! My seat was above the Royal box and I was hanging over the rail all night to get a glimpse of me 'Auntie Liz'! LOL

Anyway back to the matter in hand
it's time for a new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and the lovely Claire is sending us all

'Dotty'

Not difficult, over at MAWTT we already are!!

Not that you can tell by this dull and dismal picture (it didn't stop raining yesterday to get a decent pic) but the whole reindeer is covered in glamour dust and it sparkles beautifully IRL!
The little deer in question is 'Doodledeer' from this weeks sponsor

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some gorgeous dotty inspiration.  We now also have a full DT call on as MAWTT is really MAWTT lol and splitting into 2 teams in the new year. We'd love some new playmates to join us!!

That's all from me today, thank you for stopping by to visit

I'll link this up when I get back!

Anything But A Card @ MAWTT

Hello again I hope you all enjoyed the Jubilee and have fully recovered from any parties you may have had to celebrate! I've been working non-stop over ther weekend but managed to get this made a couple of weeks ago in preparation!
Its time for a new challenge at
and this week my lovely Lisa is cracking the whip and has given us the challenge of
Anything But A Card

Now Lisa knows this theme throws me into total panic normally but as I'm going through a 'finally use my equipment that's collecting dust' phase I got to use my Zutter binder it all for the first time and I must have bought it at least 3 years ago!!
So my 'anything but a card' is a birthday book!
I know I know it's still square but give a girl a break!
All my flowers are from WOC, I totally love that shop! I can't remember where I got my butterfly! it was from somewhere that Rebekah told me! The ribbon is American Crafts and has been collecting dust for years too lol and the image was given to me to play with by this weeks sponsor

http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/

You can find all the details at the MAWTT challenge blog along with some fabulous idea's from my lovely team mates.

I have another update from China to share too. Raegan went to see the Panda's and said they were amazing, you can have your photograph taken with them but at £130 she declined! (trust me that is not like her) She wasn't allowed through the path she originally chose, apparently sometimes Westeners aren't, so she backtracked to Kunming after going to the Face Changing Opera in Chengdu. This is a quote from her email
" I think I walked round the whole of Chengdu yesterday. I didn't want to go to bed and waste a day when time is running out so dragged myself to a monastery here then just walked around. I saw the bugs on sticks waiting to be ate...I just couldn't bring myself to do it! There's a massive statue of chairman Mao here so I walked to that as well and actually came across an Irish pub! So thought why not! Ha! Not very Chinese I know! Oh I ate Yak momo's in Shangri-la. Which is yak dumplings...they were good! They served them with this chili sauce and because my chopstick skills  are a little weak I kept dropping them in eating more chilli sauce than I would have liked!"
It goes on quite a bit more but I don't want to bore you all! She is now on her way to Xi'an (pronounced Sang I'm told)

That's all from me for today folks, thank you for coming by
Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

Special Ladies @ MAWTT

Good Morning blog land I hope all is well in your corner of the world.
Thursday already !! and time for a new challenge at
and this week my lovely friend Pam is hostess with the mostest and she has chosen

'Special Ladies'

If you haven't yet made your Mothers Day card, now's a good time or if you have then as long as your card is for a 'Special' Lady we want to see it!

I can't keep away from these little round cards lol, my excuse is I made an awful lot of square ones first! I've used Floppy Latte Designs Floral Frame from this weeks sponsor
Stitchy Stamps

I thought the frame was screaming "cut me out" but I think it was saying "only an idiot would spend so long cutting me out"
 It took me ages!
But....I do like it so maybe it was worth the effort lol
The marble paper was a gift from a Teammie and I painted some chipboard letters with my paint dabbers. The little butterflies are a punch.
Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this weeks challenge, the prize details and some fabulous inspiration from the DT. The new DT are debuting today so make sure you show them some extra special lurrrve! I'm a little sad as Sandra has decided to step down from the DT for a while, but hopefully she will come back one day soon!

I hope all you ladies out there get totally ruined on Mother's Day - I will be at work as usual!

Bee Mine @ MAWTT

Well I'm here with my DT post and to be honest I didn't think I was going to make this challenge! Never has a challenge given me as much trouble as this one (except for my next LCI card) I was already to throw in the towel and call it a day forever!.
Then I was visiting our GDT Leesa the other day she had made a mini card (check it out HERE) and I knew that was the answer to my problem! So off I zoomed to the Mistress of The Mini Makes, Mary J for a little more inspiration and I was saved!! Hallelujah!!
Without further ado its time for another challenge at
and my dear friend Debs is the hostess and she wants us to
HAVE A HEART
So lets see some love in your creations
My very first mini card and I can assure you it will not be my last!
I love Mini cards now! It even has an inside
This was so quick to make (if you don't count the 2 hours I was looking for the yellow spotty paper!) The little bee was kindly given to us to use by this weeks sponsor
and the flowers are a MFT die with yellow brads in the centres.
Head over to the main MAWTT blog to check out all the details of this weeks challenge, last weeks winners, what you can win this week and some fabulous inspiration from my gorgeous Teammies.

Thanks to those that entered Hazel's sketch last week, pop over to the main challenge blog to see if you made the top 3 or better still - won!
This week the Lovely Lisa is on duty, and she has given us the challenge of
Last Minute Christmas
So its quick makes all round, and Lisa you would be so proud of me I didn't 'faff' once in the making of this! From start to finish in 45 minutes! And I wish I'd made this weeks ago so I could have made 120 more, I love it so much, instead I bought them from M&S!
I have made cards for all my crafty friends though - I daren't buy cards for you lot!!! I took the image into Photoshop and gave it a brown overlay, so not even any colouring involved this week. Matted and layered it up on 3 different colours. Stamped directly onto my card (my is that nerve wracking!) with a Stampin Up sentiment, stuck on some gorgeous gingham from WOC, tied a bow, whacked it on and blinged up a Magnolia snowflake, layered it up a la Julie and that's it!

We have our regular sponsor this week, the fabulous
