I Heard It On The Radio @ MAWTT

Good Morning lovely people, I hope you are all well . My this year is flying by it must be my age!!! I just can't get my head around crafting and blogging lately, I have been missing in action so long, I thought I would have been back in a routine by now but I'm just not feeling it!!
I am here today with  a card I made weeks ago again which fortunately fits my DT commitments for the new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week we have one of my favourite themes

Heard It On The Radio

I've gone with 'Love & Marriage'
You can't beat a bit of Frank Sinatra!!!
This card was requested after I made one very similar earlier in the year (I think everyone I know wants me to use these images together for a wedding card now, thanks Sharon what have you started!) It is my favourite LOTV stamp so I didn't mind too much lol
I've used some gorgeous My Minds Eye papers that I've had for a while and you can tell from the date of the wedding I added to the card, I made this a couple of months ago.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some
 gorgeous inspiration from my teammies.
That's it from me, enjoy your weekend

Pretty Pastels @ MAWTT

Hello Peeps, I hope you are all well. I'm way ahead of myself here as its only mid March when I'm writing this! I may edit this with an update on life lol
It's time for a new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week our hostess is Kelly
and she has given us a lovely theme of

Pretty Pastels

Nice and easy for us all so I hope you will join us.
Here's my offering, I made this for one of the first blog friends I made, the lovely Sue B and I'm pleased to say we are on 2 fabulous DT's together now so I get to spend lots of 'virtual time' with her!!

The image is of course one from Krista Smith at Saturated Canary, this one is called Yvonne and when I saw her I couldn't resist! I have far too many images, especially Saturated Canary, but I guess that's why its called an addiction!! Papers are from Maja Designs, I think they are the Spring pad. I'm not fed up of using my PTI birthday die yet, I hope your not fed up of seeing it!!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge and some super pretty inspiration from my talented teammies.

That's all from me, I will be back tomorrow

Photo Inspiration @ MAWTT

A jolly good morning to all you lovely people, while I'm writing this (scheduled) it's a glorious sunny day I do hope it's lasted! I hope you are all well and happy. I'm on a mission to get ahead with all my DT work and so far so good.
I'm here today to tell you about a new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week my lovely friend Pam is hosting, she gave us this pretty picture to work from so its a

Photo Inspiration

You can interpret it how you wish, colours, spring, sweets etc

After my mishap of posting my DT card a week early a few weeks ago I'm taking no chances and putting the inspiration picture first!! I don't have to worry about Janice peeking, this was sent to her for her birthday so I know she has it now. Here's my take on the challenge

Ummmm, my green looks a bit darker on this picture, I don't remember it being that dark. I used some giant nesties to cut out the card shape and the cutest little Mo Manning image. Inside the greeting says ' Wish Big' lol just like her knickers!! I'm in love with my PTI 'birthday' die, I just wish they weren't so expensive to mail stuff here. My usual flowers only this time I experimented with air brushing them different colours. I've only had my Copic airbrush kit about 5 years and not used it till I did these white flowers pink and green. It's sooooooooooo cool, I want to airbrush everything!!!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge and some gorgeous inspiration from my lovely talented teammies.
I'll be back tomorrow. I'm going to the NEC on Saturday if anyone wants to meet up, I'm already meeting some lovely friends again who I haven't seen for ages.
Thank you for stopping by

Moody Blues @ MAWTT

Morning Peeps, hope all's well in your world. I'm knee deep in building renovations and I'm enjoying myself soooooooooooo much! I haven't had this much fun for ages, I'm not sure the builders are as happy as me cos I'm kind of winging it a bit and changing things as we go along but it's gonna be so nice!!!!! (I'm scheduling this post but I'll try and think to take some pictures).
I also got invited to go on holiday with some friends the other day and I'm so tempted as I missed my holiday in January because I was in hospital. I can't think of a good reason not to go so by the time you read this I might have booked my flight!!
Enough of my rubbish, the reason I"m here is a new challenge over at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week the lovely Debs is hosting with

Moody Blues

She has given us a fabulous mood board for inspiration and I love the name of the challenge, very clever Debs (even if I'm far too young to remember the Moody Blues!)

This is what I came up with
I finally used some Go Kreate dies that I'd bought ages ago and the fab Joy bingo board stamps for the first time too, the cute little Sassy Cheryl stamp I've had for a while and I love, my usual flowers, quite simple but I like it!
Head over to the main challenge blog to see the fabulous mood board and some gorgeous makes from my talented teammies, they have pushed the boat out this week, you won't be disappointed!!

Right that's it from me today, I'll be busy making tea for the workers, I'll be back tomorrow with a card I made before Christmas and didn't get around to blogging.

Thank you for stopping by

Sketchie Time @ MAWTT

Good morning good people I hope the world finds you well, I seem to be in a jolly good mood for some unknown reason (at least I was when I was writing this - scheduled again) I hope it's lasted!!

Time for a brand new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week the big boss Hazel has given us a

Sketch

to follow. It's ages since I followed a sketch, I do love a good sketch especially when my mojo goes missing, its just what I need to get me back on the creative path!

Here's the sketch

and here's my take on it.
A little different again from me - no flowers in sight lol. I'm not sure how I feel about this card, I had all these elements that went together but I'm not sure I like them together if that makes sense? I loved this Saturated Canary 'Usherette' image when I bought it but I've found it really difficult to use. I don't know if you can see it very well but I cut my Tim Holtz on the edge star die out of silver mirri card and also the sizzix film strip has been backed with acetate film. I suppose it hasn't photographed too well either but even in real life I'm not too sure!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge, there is also a little prize up for grabs this week and some gorgeous inspiration from my talented teammies.

That's it from me today, I'll be back tomorrow

Use Vellum @ MAWTT

Good morning good people. Hope the weather is kinder to you than it has been here! Wind and rain non stop again, I wanted to be going out for a walk everyday but not in this weather, I'll end up back in hospital with pneumonia!

I'm back today with a new challenge over at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week Wendy L our Spanish crafter has chosen

Vellum or Parchment

Now this theme was a challenge for me but trying to photograph my card proved to be an even bigger challenge!! All I can say is I'm sorry, no way would it focus at all, I tried everything I know but all to no avail. I don't know if it was the vellum, or the fact the stamping direct onto it is very soft.

It's actually very pretty in real life but you will just have to take my word on that lol!!
I stamped my yummy new LOTV pushchair stamp direct onto the blue vellum with blue ink and just coloured in a little shading with a polychromo pencil. The Special Delivery is a rub on and I fixed the vellum onto a blue card with 2 eyelets just along one side. A bit of ribbon and twine with a cute teddy charm and Bob's your uncle that's it!
(Actually Bob is not my uncle - he's the builder that is finally starting work on my renovations any day now, it's only been 2 years since work was meant to start!!)

Head over to the main challenge blog for lots of gorgeous inspiration from my multi talented teammies and you can check if you were in the top 3 last week while you are there.

I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new little project for me that I will explain then.

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments, a big hello to my new followers too (if you read this far down)

A Purrfect Challenge @ MAWTT

Hello folks, I'm slowly but surely getting back to normal health, I'm surprised how long that takes after an operation and my crafting is coming on very slowly!! Thank you to everyone for the good wishes and fabulous Get Well Cards I've received, I've been feeling very special and very spoilt I can tell you. Just another few days before I'm allowed to drive, thank goodness, I'm going a little stir crazy stuck at home 24-7. I will never moan about having to go out to get the grocery shopping again - well I might not LOL

It's time for a new challenge over at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and my little Scottish friend Janice is hosting with the theme of

CATS

I'm not sure I should admit this as everyone at MAWTT is cat crazy but I'm not a cat fan, they always scratch me. Maybe the cat and I fight for top spot in a household!!
I didn't feel 100% when I made this but I've missed so much over at MAWTT lately I felt was in danger of being sacked if I didn't snap to it!!
(Not really everyone has been so kind and my lovely boss Hazel has been covering my commenting)

I did however, decide to go down the Clean and Simple route to speed things up, not that it does as I spend so long deciding if I should add more things to this style of card!! My cat is a rub on, so I haven't even coloured anything here!

Head over to the main challenge blog for lots of much more creative cards and news of a super prize up for grabs this week. We also have 3 new teammies joining our happy band that you can find out about there.

That's it from me, I'm off for a lie down LOL

Music Inspired @ MAWTT

Hello again, I'm back with my 'struggling to make' one card a week post! I don't know what's happening but my mojo is in slow motion lately. I'm missing a lot of things I'd like to be joining in with but I just don't have the motivation!
My daughter left to go to Japan yesterday, she is spending 6 months there. She really has wanderlust in her veins that one, you can't keep her here for love nor money. She has a job this time and she is going to be teaching children to ski, so I won't worry as much as I usually do when she goes off traveling on her own! Her twin brother (Joel) and his mate have booked to go and visit her in January and learn to snowboard. What exciting lives my kids lead! I wish I had had their opportunities!
She is already planning her next trip for this time next year!!

Don't forget to link up to my candy, I have a brand new Stampin' Up! scoreboard to give away to a new home, I plan on redistributing a lot of my unused stash in the coming months too!

I'm here today with a new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week my lovely friend Pam is hosting the theme

Music Inspired

I'm having a bit of a LOTV surge at the minute (for a change, I have lots of un-inked little lili stamps that I love and I'm determined to use) and I still have a zillion Christmas cards to make!!
Here's one more to add to the pile.

I'm quite chuffed how this turned out, even if it did take me an age to make it lol. I know there is only 3 of them but it makes me think of '9 Ladies Dancing' from the 12 Days of Christmas song. Also you can't keep me off the dance floor when Abba's Dancing Queen comes on!!The papers are last years Echo Park (I was also determined not to buy any Christmas paper this year) and the red ridged paper I found 3 rolls at the back of the cupboard that I'd had for years. I do love traditional Christmas colours don't you? The eagle eyed might have spotted my 'so wrapped' die cut tag again - I can't help using it I love it and my favourite Doo Hickey die snowflake.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details on the challenge, the prize that's up for grabs this week and some beautiful inspiration from my teammies.

Thank you all for stopping by and for all the lovely comments you leave me. I'm off to book myself a little holiday as it's suddenly got colder I'm craving a bit of winter sun then I'm heading to my Mums for a couple of days to get all her jobs and shopping done.

Have a lovely weekend

Swirly, Pearly & Girly @ MAWTT

Good Morning folks, short and sweet as I'm nipping off to my
Mums for a couple of days to get her jobs done!
It's time for a new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week my lovely pal Debs is Hostess and has chosen

Swirly, Pearly & Girly

What a fab title for a challenge theme!
I've continued my threat to play with my Magnolia stamps and had a little play with a relatively new one (well new to me compared to how long some have been sat unused in my stash)
and I tried the lighter stamping technique, um not sure how I feel about it!!

This is Clown Tilda and I've coloured her up with Copics to match the Bo Bunny papers and lots of flowers that actually match better in real life than they do in this photo!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some gorgeous girly inspiration from my teammies this week.

Halloween @ MAWTT

Morning all from the sunny beach in Tenerife, hopefully I'm cooking nicely!
Time for another new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and it's Team A's turn to share with you the theme of

Halloween

Now I know I was on Team B but the lovely Hazel did a reshuffle for me so I didn't have to post the only 2 cards I'm likely to make in a week on consecutive days! As I don't really send Halloween cards I thought I'd make some treat bags for when the kids come knocking!!

I'm sorry they were so difficult to photograph as the cellophane bags kept reflecting the light! The said bags were from my lovely friend Zoe at Stampin Up! (link in my side bar) and I used the cute little 'Bobblehead Ghost' from Bugaboo for a couple and made another 2 really plain. I will have to make some more but I still have lots of time.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some scary inspiration
from the MAWTT crew.

Thank you for stopping by today and don't forget to join in the fun at MAWTT

MAWTT is BACK!

Hello again everyone, getting sick of seeing me this week? Nothing for months then 3 posts on consecutive days!! Hope I can keep this up.

Exciting times today and an old favourite is back with us

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

is back in blogland and we are restarting the challenges with

Anything Goes

Everyone loves being on this DT and I for one, am a happy bunny to see it back up and running (well done Hazel you do such a great job!)
My card is one that didn't get finished for a DT job in the summer so that's why it's a bit out of season LOL (or you could say its perfect for me being at the beach this week!)
I just love these images and I really wanted to play with them.

Bathing Tilda and Coastal cottages from Magnolias Summer Breeze collection all available from the lovely Janice at Sir Stampalot and the papers are Maya Designs Life by the Sea from a couple of years ago now I think. I sent Joel down the beach to get me some sand to fill the tiny bottle and I stuck a few grains on the image too.

We have this fabulous prize up for grabs to the winner from our sponsor

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some fabulous inspiration from my lovely team mates. We have some lovely new teammies joining us, please stop by and show them some love.

Embossing @ MAWTT

Morning Guys, almost another Bank Holiday lets hope the sun shines for this one, I'm actually writing this during the snow of the Easter Bank Holiday (I'm getting ahead ready for when I will be working)

Today see's the start of a new challenge for Team B at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week the lovely Red is hosting her first challenge with us and she has chosen

Embossing

It can be wet or dry or even both!

I went with the dry variety on a card that was commissioned.
I struggle with commissioned cards as I'm never sure they will like what I made!
Anyway here it is...

2 of the 3 papers are from our Sponsor this week

Plain & Simple and Simply Dots in a lovely soft lilac.
These really are lovely papers, they are already distressed and they sand away beautifully at the edges when you want to blend the edge of a covered card in.
I hope Joy liked her card!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge, the prize on offer and lots of gorgeous embossing from my lovely Teammies.

That's all from me, enjoy your long weekend,

CAS @ MAWTT

Morning lovely people this is a scheduled post as I'm super efficient and it's still March when I'm writing this!! I do hope that by now it has warmed up a bit lol if not I might have to emigrate!

I'm back today with a brand new challenge for the B team at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week my lovely little friend Sarah is hosting her first challenge here of

Clean and Simple

Is it just me that finds these cards such a challenge?
I almost need to chop my hands off to stop me adding stuff!
I got there in the end, see what you think

Of course what's even harder with these CAS cards is trying to photograph them! This is just a plain white 4x4 little card with a die cut moustache (which I love) stamped directly onto the card (which was nerve wracking) a black punched border with a black and white stripe raised on top with foam pads. Kinda cute me thinks in the end.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge and lots of lovely inspiration from my teammies.

Thank you so much for all your support and lovely comments, I've been having quite a difficult time and now more than ever they mean a lot

Moving Along With A New Baby!

Hello folks, no don't panic I'm not expecting! It's just  a post title lol Though I have to say I love babies and I wish my kids would hurry up and have some!! I'm desperate to be a Granny, I know I know I'm far too young lol (I wish)

Well I'm back from my holiday in the sun and burnt to a crisp too, a lovely shade of peeling, red and brown with the odd bit of sun bleached hair thrown in for good measure!!  The temperatures were sky high and peaked at 42 degrees on the Saturday. It was really good to get away but I don't think I've managed to resolve my problems and I kind of wish I was still there!

I had this card all made ready and scheduled as today we have a brand new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and the lovley Marita is hosting her
first challenge with us and has chosen

Babies

Here is what I came up with
Using the image First Steps from our Sponsor this week

Don't you just love gingham on baby cards? To me they go hand in hand but then I like gingham! I did a bit of cutting with my nesties to create the frame and though it doesn't look like it in this picture, the ribbon does match! The sentiment is a rub on that I have had forever!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge, the prize and some gorgeous inspiration from my teammies this week.

That's all from me, thank you for stopping by. I will get myself all sorted out and unpacked and holiday washing done then I'll be around to visit you all

Movie or Song Inspired at MAWTT

Morning Peeps I'm a tad excited as today at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

Tammy is hosting a new challenge with my favourite theme

Inspired by a Song or Film

I don't know why but I absolutely love this theme!!
It's my all time favourite challenge.
Here is my little offering inspired by the
Will Ferrell Movie ' ELF'

Isn't this image a little cutie? The fab papers were sent to me by Zoe at Stampin' Up (link in my side bar) as a sample and it worked as I then had to buy the whole kit! The chipboard letters, bells and ribbon were in my stash from way back when!!

We have a super sponsor this week

Digi My World

Do pop along to the store and check out the fabulous little images on offer and head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge and some gorgeous inspiration and lots of fun from my teammies!

Love Is In The Air @ MAWTT

Happy Valentines Day to you all, please consider this post as my valentine's to everyone who didn't get one! That will be just me then!! Oh well I suppose there is still time LOL
I'm back today to spread a little L-O-V-E at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and the lovely Claire has given us the perfect theme for today

Love Is In The Air

I had a lot of fun making this little card

How cute is Tilda's little bottom? Though it does look like she has a bit of nappy rash maybe I was a bit heavy handed with the blush!  The stamp is from the new 2013 Love collection (I don't think I've used any of the 2012 Love collection I bought last year yet!!)
The chipboard love is from a pack from WRM and as usual most of the flowers come from WOC

The papers I printed out myself (had to get a new printer which turned into a nightmare as it wasn't compatible with my computer so then the whole thing had to be upgraded! You wouldn't believe how many hundreds of £'s this card cost me in the end!!!) Anyway back to the papers....they are Vintage Peddler from our fabulous new sponsor at MAWTT

I can't tell you how much I love these papers, they sand away for a distressed look perfectly and now (I have an all singing and dancing laser printer) I will be printing papers left right and centre! Still have a small forest's worth in my craft room to get through first.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge and lots of scrummy inspiration from my team mates.

Thank you for visiting today
