Inspired By a Song @ OBAG

Hello Blogland it's my favourite challenge today at
and I chose it LOL!

Inspired By A Song

Doncha just love it!! I do, it makes me laugh out loud when I check out everyone's posts! And boy oh boy is it good to have some laughter in your life! and singing, not that I can sing lol I'm tone deaf!

I went to the Theatre at Leicester the other day with some friends and I took my mum for her birthday. We went to see 'Hot Stuff' it was all 70's music and everyone, and I mean everyone, was singing and dancing all the way through it! If it comes to a town near you go and see it, it was a real trip down memory lane and non stop laughs!

Here is my little offering, I'm showing my age with my song choice!!
My dad was always singing Dean Martin songs when I was growing up, and my mum's a Frank Sinatra fan so I love a bit of 'Rat Pack'

Inspired by Dean Martin's
'Little Old Wine Drinker Me'
I'd made this card ages ago when I got the sponsor mixed up (I thought it was Bugaboo) and it isn't!! We have a super sponsor

The Paper Nest

Check out the main challenge blog for all the details
and some super inspiration to get you singing lol

Remember to be in with a chance of winning the prize on offer you must use something that is at least 6 months old and be sure to tell us what it is in your blog post

Happy Easter @ OBAG

Hello again folks you can tell it's almost time for another Bank Holiday as the weather has got cold!! I've been a bit absent as I've been working for a change, not got back in that routine yet!

Today it's time for a new challenge at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

Francesca is hosting with the theme

Happy Easter

My card is a real Oldie but goodie as I actually coloured this image in last Easter to use, but when I went to match it to my papers - it didn't! lol Not one to throw anything away I put it to one side and low and behold I just happened to buy papers that were a perfect match during the course of the year lol !!

I love this cute Teddy Bo image, I can remember the card I made with it last year! This time I decided to roll out the rolled roses again, it's ages since I made any (no doubt you will be seeing them regularly again for a while now as I enter another phase!) I made them with Stampin' Up card and they really hold together nicely. The Swirls are Cheery Lynn and the papers MME that I bought sometime during the last year.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details plus news on the prize and some fabulous inspiration from the girls. Francesca has given it a fab new makeover and we have a couple of new members to our little DT family.

Remember to use something on your card that is at least 6 months old to be eligible for the prize and don't forget to tell us what it is in your post.

That's all from me, thank you so much for your lovely comments and support and hopefully I will have a bit more time to blog this next week.

Feeling Floral @ OBAG

Good Morning to you all, spring is on its way and this week over at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

the lovely Helen is hosting and she is

Feeling Floral

I hope you get a chance to join in and play along with us.
My interpretation is a gorgeous flower display, one of my favourite things!

I've used a cute little Marianne stamp I bought last summer and didn't get around to using and my papers are a gazillion years old from MME, these are the last few pages in the pad but I'm sure knowing me I'll buy another to replace it soon!
The flowers are from (mainly I think) WOC and the cute little bike charm (yes I know I used some of my treasure!) is from the Ribbon Girl I think!

Christine if you're looking, I cut my card on the fold and then cut out a frame with the same shape to place over the top of it so no folds are visible.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge and and prize and some beautiful floral inspiration from my teammies.

Remember to be in with a chance of the prize
you have to use something on your card at least
6 months old and be sure to let us know
what it is in your post.

We are currently holding a DT call
if you would like to join us at OBAG

That's all from me, a big thank you for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with my DT make for Diva's, I can't believe how quickly these weeks come around!

Lace, Pins & Pearls @ Oldie But Goodie

Hello my lovely friends I think I'm back proper from now on, but things are still a little hectic here. My daughter is home from hospital after her operation and although in pain she is on the mend. The usual family crisis's reign supreme but I guess it keeps us all on our toes!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge a

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and my lovely friend Debs has chosen the theme

Lace, Pins & Pearls

It took a while to kick start my crafting as I haven't really made anything since November before I went to Euro Disney, Germany and then Barbados! It may take a few weeks to get back in the swing of things, but here is my first attempt!

Its always a pleasure to colour in the gorgeous images from Saturated Canary and Violet Vintage
was no exception - I just love her! She is my latest SC stamp - I want them all!
The papers are Basic Grey Little Black Dress and I coloured my roses in black using copics, those and the others are from WOC, the glass and metal flowers and the pins were bought from the NEC the first time I went about 3 years ago so they will be my 'Old' item. The black lace and black velvet ribbon have also been in my stash for ages.
Remember to tell us what you have used
that is over 6 months old in your post.
Pop over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some devine inspiration from my teammies. Sadly Lisa and Tracy have moved on to pastures new but I will still visit them often!

That's it from me today, thank you for sticking with me while I was absent, its great to be back

Let It Snow @ Oldie But A Goodie

Hello lovely people, I'm all in a tiz this week flying around here there and everywhere and I don't know if I'm coming or going!! I'm so behind and I have no chance of catching anything up this side of Christmas. Apart from a couple of cards I've made weeks ago and scheduled, I will be absent for a while. I have to apologise to all my DT blogs for not being around. It's all about to get even busier at the crack of dawn tomorrow when I head off to EuroDisney with my Son, via lunch in Paris, from there I get the train to Frankfurt then on to Eisenach on Friday evening to meet my Husband and friends. We fly home late Sunday evening then Monday morning I head off to Leicester overnight to get my Mums shopping and chores done before I get whisked off (and this is the part you all feel sorry for me) to Barbados!! OMG! I'm so excited though goodness knows when I'll get to fit in my Christmas shopping/wrapping/card writing etc.....

Enough excitement for now, its time to get on with the new challenge at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and this week lovely Tracy is hosting with a theme of

Let It Snow

This is what I came up with
Now I know what you are all thinking....this is a fairly new image and I'm supposed to be using things at least 6 months old for this challenge - well I have, the paper is from last Christmas, and my Magnolia Pointsettia die I've had at least 1 year if not more and this is the first time I've used it!! Shame on me as I'm really loving that flower. It's all been glittered and curled using Aileens glitter snow that I got at the NEC, I glittered the Tim Holtz Snowflakes edger die cut too and they look fab in real life. This goes to show that you can all enter our fab challenge as long as something on your card is at least 6 months old and you tell us what it is!

Be sure to check out the main challenge blog for all the details and this week we have a fabulous new sponsor

while you're there check out the fabulous inspiration from the Goodie Girls.

Before I go I just want to share what was delivered
to me last Friday on my 29th wedding anniversary
29 gorgeous red roses!! Each year I get the relevant number, it's certainly making up for the early years when he was being a cheapskate!!
That's all from me today - I'm off to pack!!

Thanks for looking
Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges
though I may not be around much.
Midweek Magnolias - Dreaming of a White Christmas

Anything BUT Christmas @ OBAG

Morning guys, are you fed up with making Christmas cards yet? If so you will want to join in this week at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

as my bestest blogging buddy Lisa has given us just that challenge!

Anything BUT Christmas!

I still have a million Christmas cards to make but a change is as good as a rest!
This was actually made a while ago before I went on holiday as my Mum had asked me to make some cards for her to send. I feel a little like I've cheated with no stamp but once upon a time that's how I made all my cards! Now I'm addicted to stamped images and I can't believe how much my card making has changed!
This was made for my Mum's friend, Phoebe, and she loved it - she got a bit emotional actually!!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this weeks challenge and some gorgeous inspiration from the Goodie Girls.
We have a fabulous sponsor

http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

Thats all from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with an extra card I've sneaked in this week for Diva's. Thanks for stopping by and a big hello to my new follower Debby

Inspired By A Song Or Film

Morning Peeps I'm a wee it excited today as I get to host a challenge at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and I've chosen my favourite theme

Inspired By A Song or Film

Last time I chose this theme I couldn't stop singing my way around all your blogs!
It was so much fun LOL
My song inspiration is 'Chapel Of Love' by The Dixie Cups
Are you singing it yet?
I had to make a wedding card amongst the orders from my Mum and a friend and I've used my uber cute LOTV image that I haven't used since I made 150 wedding invitations with it! I still adore this beautiful little image and wasn't put off by the volume of invites - just wouldn't want to do it again in a hurry!
. I followed an old sketch from the no longer running truly scrumptious blog and a lot of inspiration from the very talented Fleur! I love her muted tones and vintage look and have tried to emulate it here.
The papers are really old, they are paper pizazz and are some of the first crafty stuff I bought, all the flowers are from WOC and the lace is new from is from The Ribbon Girl. The bronze heart charm was a gift from the lovely Jill, my super talented friend from Norway - thank you Hunny.
Head over to the main blog page for lots of fabulous inspiration from my lovely teammies and all the details of the prize up for grabs from this weeks sponsor

That doesn't stop me buying more though LOL
This is one of the cards I've been making for my Mum and a friend who have both been asking me to make for them for ages, I just couldn't find any time until now.
The image you don't really need me to tell you is 'Blanche' from the fabulous Krista Smith at Saturated Canary (My lovely friend Debs gave me a voucher for my birthday and I'm addicted) coloured with Copics and pencils, the paper is Echo Park 'For The Record 2' 6x6 pad, the sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a Die Namics label die and the chipboard alphabet has been painted to match. All the flowers are from WOC and in keeping with the challenge rules, my ribbon has been in my drawer for years! Its Tilda ribbon from Panduro.

It's A Recipe at Oldie But Goodie

Morning Guys, wow how nice is this weather? We are still having lots of visitors to the seaside so I haven't had as much time yet as I thought I was going to have!! At least I'm getting a bit of time to make something.
Today is a new challenge over at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and my lovely lovely teamie Debs is in charge
I'm finally going to get to meet up with her in few weeks and I'm really excited as I know we will be good friends for a long time.
Anyway back to the challenge and it's a

Recipe
1 Image, 2 DP's and 3 Flowers

Here's my take on the challenge
I've had this image coloured in for quite a while as I was going to use it for another card months ago but it wasn't going right at the time! My twins are going to Sophie's 21st party on Saturday it's called 'Sophie's Adventures In Wonderland' and everyone has to dress up as a character from the book/film.
We were invited too, Sophie works for us, but someone has to stay here to work!
The fabulous Queen of Hearts is a Mo Manning image, coloured with Copics and pencils. The papers are MME and you will probably know by now (as I've used them so much) the flowers are a MFT die. The gem brads, ribbon and heart pins are all from my stash.
Inside just says 'Let's Celebrate!'

We have a fabulous sponsor this week, the mighty

All the details plus some gorgeous inspiration from my team mates can be found at the main challenge blog page. I hope you will all get a chance to join us this challenge.

While I'm here I'd like to thank all my beautiful friends out there who sent me birthday cards/presents and good wishes, I was overwhelmed by your kindness, generosity and talents. I don't want to list individual names encase I miss someone out, but thank you all - I had one of the nicest birthday's I can remember.

A quick reminder to enter my birthday candy above

Friends @ Oldie But A Goodie

Hello folks - I'm struggling a bit here with trying to keep up to date with my DT cards while working 7 days a week and all my good work of getting ahead has been caught up!
Just got this one done by the skin of my teeth!
It's time for a new challenge at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and this week the lovely Tracy has decided we should celebrate our

Friends

You can never have too many! I hope mine haven't forgotten me in my absence.

This cute little image is actually a fairly new purchase but my paper is really old so I still qualify! Lulu and her little sister are from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and I adore them!! The papers are the last few sheets from my Echo Park Be Mine pad but don't fear I bought a spare pad when I cut into the first few sheets! lol
The sentiment is a mixture of rub ons which also have been knocking around my craft room for a while (read years), the ribbon does actually match a lot more in real life - not sure what happened in this photo. I coloured with Copics and flowers are from WOC.

Head over to the main challenge blog for some great inspiration from the Goodie Girls and all the details of this challenge sponsored by
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

Remenber to qualify for the prize you must
use an item over 6 month old and tell us what it is

Thank you so much for bearing with me during my busy work spell, I have a lovely little followers candy for you when I find a minute to post it!

Fin-Tastic Day @ OBAG

Hello my lovely people, this is a scheduled post as most of the children are all on school holidays and we should be as busy as we can be at work for the next 6 weeks so my visits will be few and far between even more so if the sun is shining!!

Photo Inspiration Challenge

And here is my take on this photo

I've used another fantastic Saturated Canary image, they are so easy to colour I'm hooked on them at the minute! The papers are Fancy Pants from last summer's Beach Babe 6x6 pad. The flowers and ribbon have been in my stash forever and the 'Fin-tastic' sentiment was printed on my computer and cut with a MFT label die.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details and some fabulous inspiration from the girls, you can also check out the prize from this weeks sponsor

Flower Power @ Oldie But A Goodie

Well guys can you believe the sun shone all day yesterday but no doubt today will be another very soggy morning - lovely weather for Ducks - we're having!
Is anyone else as hot as me or is just my age! I have never been so humid and grumpy!

Anyway that's far too much information for a Tuesday morning!
I'd like to thank everyone for all the fantastic entries we had to the last challenge and today I'm here with a fabulous new challenge at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and this week Francesca is hosting with a fab theme of

Flower Power

Groovy baby or what! We all love flowers don't we?
Once again out came the flower trio dies from MFT they really are one of MFT! lol The spotty paper is from my stash and didn't have a name and the red check is Stampin' Up. I printed out the sentiment on my computer and used a MFT label die to cut it out.
The fab little image is from this weeks sponsor,
the mighty Bugaboo
It's called 'Ladybug Stack' and I LOVE IT!

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of this challenge and some gorgeous inspiration from the team, the girls have done a great job this week!

Remember to qualify for the prize you must use something that is at least 6 months old and remember to let us know what it is in your post!

That's all from me today, I will be back later in the week with a little candy for my lovely followers - I can't believe I have so many and I want to thank you!!
