Meeting a new friend

Today I got to have lunch with a stamper who lives fairly close by...and who is on two of the same design teams as I am.  This is the first time we met up. But boy did we have a ton of fun chittchattering away!  I sure hope we can meet up again, Andrea.  (I hope you weren't late for your big date! haha)

Here is the tote I made for her.

A fun new Spring Wristlet and some candy...and of course you've made a new friend! haha

All papers can be found at Paper Temptress..shimmery and textures in so many papers!  The stamp images/sentiment are from Paper Makeup.  Did you know that PMS will have an Inventory Sale in April! You won't want to miss it!

The card is 3 inches square.

Tag...I'm it!

A couple of days ago, I found this "You're It! tag in my purse. I think I saw it earlier in the week...and just thought it was a Bath & Body Works coupon...since it was brightly colored. On the back, it says, "To Mom, From A*. " As you can see on the front, I was instructed to give it back to her in a secret way. So, when she came home from school, I mentioned that I had received her note and asked her how long it was in my purse. Apparently FOR WEEKS! She said she would peek inside to see if I had found it yet. Really?  Weeks!?! haha. I guess it's time to organize. Although, I bet she was just eager and the wait seemed long.

So yesterday, I created this pocket out of Paper Temptress papers for her...and matched the funky, fun colors of the note.  Then, while she was on an errand with her dad, I put the card in the mail to her.  So next week, SHE will be the one who has to get the mail.  Let the games begin!!

The white Cardstock is White Diamonds from Paper Temptress...which gives it a bit of sparkle that any 10 year old girl would love!

Images from Paper Makeup.  I think I've used this gal a lot lately!

If you are wondering where A* got that tag, check out "Just Mom & Me" from American Girl. We saw it at Borders a while back.  Then one day, I had a $5 promo gift certificate and a 40% off coupon. So I went to Borders to buy ME something. Of course, I came home with this fun book to share with DD.

Diamond Spring Fold Tutorial

I posted this fun Diamond Spring Card earlier in the month.

Here is a simple tutorial to help you get started.

Remember...You can put some double sided adhesive on the bottom.  Then the receiver can firmly adhere it to the base.

Busy as a bee!

But then again, that's life, right!

I just LOVE these Antideprestamps!!  The Giggle Bears really make me giggle!

And coupled with Paper Temptress papers...You've got a hit!

I used the layout and shamrock theme on the easle card for the Part Time Tuesday's challenge this week!

Here is my PI Pie from last Monday. It looks amazing, doesn't it!  (Unfortunately, the lemon didn't set up quite right. haha. I'll just have to try it again!)

Boxed up for St. Patty's Day!

I slept pretty much all day yesterday. I was just exhausted from ... life, I guess!  So, today's time change really doesn't bother me!  (And I"m hoping that I just slept off some impending illness!)

Here's my box for the Party Time Tuesdays Challenge Blog.

Gorgeous papers all from Paper Temptress! (Shhhh, I heard a rumor that she is going to have some new paper selections!)

By changing the color combo, this Starving Artistamp Christmas Elf is now a Leperchaun!  Hope your month has been a lucky one!

Happy Birthday, Teenager!

How is this for a fabby card for a girl turning 13?

All papers used can be found on the Paper Temptress website.  The BASIS line is great for sturdy card bases.  The Corrugated Colors line adds so much texture and dimension to your paper crafting projects,.  I have found that glue dots are the best way to adhere them to your base. Only, line up carefully!  One it's stuck, it's going to be awefully hard to hard to unstick the layer.

I can't believe I have waited so long tom ake an easel card! This one, when finished, measures 4.25 x 5.5 inches.  Plenty of room on the inside to write a note to your favorite teen!

The Laser and Pearlseent papers add a bit of shimmer to the cellphone image.  I'm sooooo grateful to Melody for this Gina K,. set. I think it's going to come in VERY useful as my own kids continue to grow.  Thanks!!

Last night, I made this PMS creation.  I aboslutely LOVE the Moodys.  Squeal, squeal! This Moody is probably my favorite. She has really grown on me!  I think partly b/c of all of  the fabby sunshing/rain sayings that PMS produces.  All these gorgeous papers can be found at the Paper Temptress.

The mica/metallic amethyst is so shimmery in real life!   The base is formed from BASIS paper which is perfect for all the layers I like to pile up on my cards.  I stamped the image on Linen Paper.  It really holds up to the watercoloring.  Did you know that the Paper Temptress is looking for more designers for her team? If you are dreaming of papers, in all sorts of weights and textures, at night....be sure to apply to be on the Paper Temptress design team soon.

Long Awaited...newly released!

In December, Tracey, owner of Starving Artistamps, sent a new stamp set to all the designers...as a Christmas present. Only I couldn't post anything until today! Oh....and what a wait THAT was!

The inside caption reads: "A fool for you."

You can not have enough bling for these Royalty images!  This is the next set in the Antidepresstamps line.  The small silvery bling are holographic stickers.

Papers for these two cards are from Paper Temptress. That paper is like royalty too! Don't you just love the color selection and textures?

Basket of Peaches

I love my new Peach set from Kitchen Sink Stamps.  After the first 10 minute ( plus a few extra minutes) card, I decided to whp up a few more.

This one took a few extra minutes b/c I had to find the perfect prima.. But the stamping of the background panel was pretty quick. Although, I might have to get a few more acrylic blocks for these multistep stamps!
I created this one for the KSS Friday Sketch Challenge today.  Although I incorporated the embossing as with the earlier card challenge.

All of these 3 cards, plus the original, were made from Paper Temptress papers.  I have stored them in a bin that holds hanging files. That way, I can keep these gorgeous papers well organized, as well as keeping track of bits and scraps. These small pieces make perfect accents like this faux ribbon in orange....or the sliver of medium green accent!

New a few times over!

Kitchen Sink Stamps is my newest "favorite" stamp company.  Okay, I know, I know...I have a lot of "favorite companies.  But each "favorite" is a favorite for a reason. KSS happens to have these awesome multistep stamps that create the most amazing photorealistic images...when you line up the stamps correctly! haha.

As the new year was ushered in, KSS opened their brand new forums/website. And today I stumbled upon a "10 Minute Card" challenge. I know my mom thinks I stamp all day long. But I do not. In fast, this is the only card I stamped today.

Yes, it took a few more minutes long than 10...b/c this Peach set is new to me so I had to experiement. And frankly, I'm sure the "10 minutes" must start after you know exactly what papers images you are using!  All papers can be found at Paper Temptress

Mistletoe Mooners

As soon as I saw these new Juniper and Jupiter stamps, I knew I'd make this scene!  Boy, I want to frame this. It's just sooo darling in real life with the shimmery Paper Temptres Papers! You gotta have gold at Christmas!

This guy is also a "sitter-downer." But I cut him in 1/2 to make him look like he was standing behind the couch.

Done shopping yet?

Haha...I am (almost). My goal every year is to be done by Thanksgiving so I can enjoy the holidays. This year it was even more essential as I would probably run out of time if I didn't!  Today's M4TW challenge from Paper Makeup Stamps is to have a SHOPPING THEME.  So...I had to stretchhhhhhhhhhhh it a bit.

What do you find on anything you buy?  That's right....A TAG....

Up close shot so you can see these stunning papers by Paper Temptress.  Use keyword: M4TW51 when uploading to online galleries. And remember to link up with Mr. Linky on the company blog so you can be in the Thursday review.

Now, while you are all scrambling, I'll enjoy my baking!
