Cards for Nieces and Nephews!

If you have nieces and nephews,
just check out all the fun you can have when you create cards for them using
Eyelet Outlet brads, bling strips, and enamel shapes!

The little girls in your life will fawn all over these critters, appropriatedly named Fawn Brads.
Add bling strips and enamel stars because every girl is a princess at heart!
The heart brad behind the fawns is a new release as well.

Do you have a nephew who is into legos or building?
He will be wowed by your background construction using Building Block washi tape.
Just two rows of the tape and you have created a patterned element for a card!
This bulldozer is another new brad from the Truck Brad package!
I added it to a metal ringed tag to get it more of an industrial feel.
But, who doens't love bling??
(haha...okay, there may be a few nephews out there.
But I'm sure you can think of how to slip it onto a card for some pizzaz!)

Please rumble on over to the Eyelet Outlet store and scoop up some of the newly released brads to impress your nieces and nephews!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Feel free to amble on over to my blog,

Each Month, The Eyelet Outlet challenges you to participate in a sketch using their amazing products/embellishments.  Here is the current Sketch...

Last night I created this card...

I made the focal point a little to the left.  I just love how you can put together a great card with The Eyelet Outlet embellishments!

I sponged ink along the edge of the paper flowers to give it a little more dimension and definition between the two layers.

Supplies:

Sentiment:

Birthdays!!

Summer is upon us...and so are summer birthdays!
Here are a couple of neat layouts that will help keep you
in the sun and at the pool...instead of inside at the craft table.

I layered the printed Sock Monkey Paper Flowers Blue in a diagonal...and added a few plain red flowers for contrast.  I added a bunch ofPearl Bling in the flower centers for interest.

One happy go lucky Sock Monkey Brad sets off the sentiment!

Here is a summer time treat for the man in your life who is celebrating
another year in the sun!  This card is more narrow than the typical A2 card.
 It measures 3.75 inches across.

These Lawn Mushroom Brads and lined up across the top of the embossed panel.
Quick and colorful!

And...let this Gnome Brad be the spokesman for your card!

There you have it...two simple layouts that make a statement using fun brads, bling and flowers!!
When you go to make your summer birthday cards this year, change out the decorative elements from
The Eyelet Outlet to fit the personality of the birthday boy or girl!

A little Girl Power...

To bust through the holidays!

And, every girl needs a bit of bling!
I used My Hero stamp set from Joy's Life,
wonderful washi tape, dazzling jewel bling (from The Eyelet Outlet)
and flower sequins!  (Use Mini Glue Dots (R)
to secure those sequins.)

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas...enjoying, family, friends, and food!
Best Wishes for 2014 as well!

Ombre...in green.
Don't you love the matching printed Gnome Ribbon!
Also used: Gnome Brads and Pearl Brad.

All the stamps in this post come from

Each of these tags are doubled up.
The second layer is there for a short, heart felt message to the recipient.
Just be sure to tie the ribbon on loosely so the bottom layer
can swivel out to be read.

I blinged out this Holiday Tree Brad.
A little embossing keeps it quick and cheerful.
The chevron ribbon is from Lovebug Creations.
While it is no longer available, LBC is always coming out with something new.

Peaceful Greetings...

Card Making is a "peace" of cake when you combine the festive
Robin's Nest Papers and embellishments along with Reddy Die Cuts from

Sentiment from Joy's Life.

These layers are perforated for easy separating from one another.
I used a sponge dauber to soften the edges in a caramel tan color.
Use foam mounting squares to make the layers pop!

All layers were added to a 4.5 x 6 inch Hunter Classic Glitter Cardstock Card Base.
To create the bow, I took a red linen square from The Robin's Nest and folded
it into an accordion.  Next, I used gold cord to tie it together.

A Craft Glue Dot ® is a strong way to stick fabric to your card!!

The gold StarForm Corner Mount Stickers also come from
Ecstacy Crafts Inc.  A little embellishment...with a lot of interest!

Perfect for those January cards you will be sending out,
if you are like me!
