Chinese Gardens/Lantern Festival

We visited the Chinese Gardens for the annual Lantern Festival again this year.  I think it is an excellent annual tradition, though this year was a disappointment.  Good thing we had good friends, the Sumsion's, with us!

This year Jeremy was able to join us as well.  We rode the MRT down which has a stop right at the Gardens.  (Last year we drove and parked on the other side.)  We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and pagoda's.






The disappointment for me was that other than the hanging lanterns, there weren't many others.  Last year had many, large beautiful creations.  This year it was just these mystical people inside the moons and later, Confucious and a two pillars with fire.

Even given that, we did find a big lizard swimming around in the pond:
