Christmas Sweets

I just found this layout I created in July…it was for a challenge at Citrus Tree Studio during my Design Team term.
I used My Mind’s Eye patterned paper and Elle’s Studio tags. The glitter alphabet stickers are Doodlebug Design. I used EK Success punch on the right side of the layout and then added a strip of patterned paper to the back.

I love how simple it is so I created a sketch. Feel free to use it.

On another note, I am using Windows Live Writer for my blog posts and I love it. You can publish your posts to any of your favorite blog service providers. So easy. I read this somewhere recently so I gave it a try.
Have a great night.
Back to decorating the tree while I snack on these. I am using Candy Cane Hershey kisses.

{ Pumpkin Patch }

Fall is creeping in. Mornings are cooler and the days are tolerable. We are continuing with our traditional visit to the local Pumpkin Patch. Getting pictures is a little harder. Alex wants to run around and pick up all the little pumpkins he can find. When it was time to go he didn't want to leave. It was still pretty hot this Friday.

I feel like I should have a fall/pumpkin card, but I don't. I do have a Technique Tuesday card that I made for a challenge to use markers.

I stamped five bird houses from Home Tweet Home that I colored with markers. I added little pearls on the top of each house. The sentiment is from Simply Stated and it fits perfectly in the space. I stamped clouds from The Weather Report on patterned paper that I cut out and machine stitched to the card.

Alex was sick last night and today all day and I am exhausted. He is finally sleeping for the night, I hope. Poor little baby.

I made some Cranberry-Pumpkin cookies for the PTA meeting that I didn't get to go to this morning and I have been snacking on them all day.

Have a great night.

{ Inspire Me 2010 - week 2, My Scrapbook Nook, Robot Party }

Here is my ATC for Inspire Me week 2. Fun technique with tissue paper. I pretty much did it just like Rhonda, with my own twist....and I used Shimmerz. Licorice Shimmerz Spritz for the bottom layer then I painted the tissue paper with Lilac Shimmerz. The little house is sprayed with Chickadee Shimmerz Spritz.
I used Happiness Is stamp set from Impression Obsession, Elle's Studio journal tag, Maya Road chipboard house, Prima flower and Basic Grey rub-on. The house is sprayed with Chickadee Shimmerz Spritz and lots of glitter. I am still creating with My Scrapbook Nook January kit....Pink Paislee Cupid collection. This kit is sold out. Sign up for a six month subscription to the Nook kits receive a credit of $20.10 to your account. Today is the last day!!!
Don't forget the Design Team Call - you have until January 30.
I used December Sky Shimmerz Blingz and Sea Foam Shimmerz Spritz for the chipboard butterfly.
Alex's Robot party was a success. I had issues with the cake frosting, but it turned out OK. We made the robot and the idea came from here. Betty Crocker Robot Cake.

{ Last minute Christmas tags with Shimmerz Spritz }

Do you need a quick, last minute gift tag? Christmas is in two days!!! I have a solution. I didn't have any white tags so I made these by cutting some white cardstock, punching a hole and adding a white reinforcement label. You can find it at an office supply store.

I punched several 3/4" circles and arranged them randomly on the tags. I sprayed the tags with Olive Branch Shimmerz Spritz. Once the circles were removed I had this beautiful background. Next, I used Licorice Shimmerz Spritz to lightly spray over the tags. I embossed the bottom edge of the tags with embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I die cut stars from red felt, or you can trace a star on any shape that you like. I painted the white flowers with Mossy Stone Shimmerz paint. I added hemp cord, a little glittery pom pom and names of my friends stamped on the paper strips that I sprayed with Olive Branch Shimmerz Spritz.

Hi friends! I know my sweet girls are reading this...I hope you like them.

I ended up making these today! I did not have time to make my own marshmallows....one day. Quick and easy treat! Here is a photo from yesterday, before we went out. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I had a great day!! Alex helped me make the cupcakes and then he was practicing blowing out the candle. His birthday is in 3 weeks!

Are you ready for Christmas! I think I am. I just need to wrap presents. Have a great day!

***My Bella Blvd Designer Spotlight is up on the blog. Come and see. There will be more posts and photos all week :)

{ Mojo Monday 110, Pencil Lines 157 and some cookies }

Happy Wednesday. My headache finally went away (after five days) and I feel better. I wanted to make a card and I discovered Mojo Monday (again). This is my first time playing and it looks like a fun place. Loved the sketch, week 110, and wanted to use some of my (new) stash. I used Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon patterned paper. Sassafras Lass cloud sticker and Prima flower and leaf. Jenni Bowlin ticket is a scrap from a layout I made this weekend.

This card took less than 30 minutes to make, photograph and edit. It all happened tonight. I used my white balance feature on my camera to take the photo. No flash. This is the layout I created with Studio Calico kit. I used Pencil Lines sketch 157. I just love the fun photo that I took of us on my husband's birthday. I added Making Memories embossed metal "Family" plate, Autumn Leaves tree stamp and Elle's Studio tag. I made the flower that I sprayed with Tuscan Sun Shimmerz Spritz and painted with Ultra Marine Shimmerz paint. I finally baked my favorite, seasonal cookies...Cranberry-Pumpkin Cookies. They are delicious! I omitted the Walnuts because I didn't have any, but this is the way I like them. I am getting ready to grab a few of those cookies, curl up on the couch and watch some TV.

{ Friday free for all challenge - supply challenge }

My turn to host a challenge this Friday at Embellish-It Scrapbooking. Details: Create a card using the following: 1. The color red 2. Buttons 3. At least one stamp. Please use keyword FC12 when you upload your projects to the gallery so we can all see your beautiful work! For my card I used Paper Salon and Fancy Pants Designs patterned paper. I have a box of fabric laying around from my gratitude wrap project so I decided to add fabric to this card. The tree stamp is from Autumn Leaves and the sentiment is Heidi Grace Designs. On another note: I made these cookies today: Cranberry-Pumpkin Cookies....I don't know how I came to this recipe (maybe Melissa, she always bakes wonderful goodies). I can't stop eating them. I wish I had more time to bake...Alex helped and he really wanted to play with the mixer. I think they are more like scones...soft and yummy.
