{ Snow Day and Silhouette Cameo }

Here is a layout I created for Therm O Web in September of last year. We had this huge winter snow in February and we got to sled on a hill behind our house. So much fun.

I created a Chevron template using my Cricut and that is how I cut the patterned paper for this layout. I used Superstik Glue Stick by Therm O Web to add a tiny line town the middle of my cut out chevron, and then I stitched it down.

I first used the chevron template on this layout. I will try creating another template with my Silhouette Cameo and that way I can share the file.

Snow day close 14299

I adhered the chipboard letters with Sticky Dots Adhesive by Therm O Web. You just place the letters on the sheet, rub on the back to transfer the adhesive. All of the surface is covered with adhesive. Perfect for these shapes.

I have a mixture of patterned paper and embellishments from Studio Calico, My Mind’s Eye and Echo Park. The little banners and tags are from Elle’s Studio. The stars are from Stamps of Life by Stephanie Bernard.

I am having so much fun with my Silhouette Cameo. I am creating and cutting my own shapes. Some on here I downloaded from the internet. Using some of these on a project right now.

{ October Studio AE sneak peek and a layout }

Ready for Technique Tuesday October Studio AE sneak peek? Here it is. I love this stamp set and so will you!

I created one more layout I created with September Studio AE Family Is. I have been playing with my Chevron template that I made and cut out with my Cricut Expression. I would love to share it, but I don't know how to make a SVG file. When I do, I will share.

This layout has a mixture of different patterned papers by My Mind's Eye, Sassafras Lass and Studio Calico, some brand new Elle's Studio tags and Smooch Spritz.
I stamped "cherish" with Chestnut ink that I cut out and completed my title with letter stickers.
The stars are made with Ice Rink Smooch Spritz and a special star mask I have. I will share on here soon, but if you can't wait check out my post on Clearsnap blog.

The Grasshopper ink matched the papers perfectly. I love that star from Friends Through Thick and Thin stamp set. I use my exacto knife to cut it out. "So grateful for my Son" is stamped on a tag. I love this stamp set and that I can use it for so many different occasions.
I used a sketch by Jessy Christopher.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great Tuesday.

{ Creative Scrappers #167 }

I created a a layout the other night for Creative Scrappers sketch #167. I have been holding on to a fun Savoring Summer kit from Elle's Studio. I used Studio Calico patterned paper and letter stickers, My Mind's Eye patterned paper and Impression Obsession stamps. I added Crate Paper die cuts, stamped butterflies and Prima pearls.

The butterflies are  Slhouette 15 D5565 from Impression Obsession and they are stamped with Clearsnap ColorBox Premium Dye Ink: Banana. I added little pearls to the butterflies with Therm O Web Zots for Bling. I showed a photo of them in my last post.  I used Therm O Web Zots - medium to adhere the butterflies and my favorite Therm O Web Sticky Dot Runner for all the paper.

This little bracket die cut, with the stars, is cut with my Cricut Expression.  I stamped the die cut with Cover-a-card Scratches CC044 from Impression Obsession with Clearsnap Top Boss Watermark Ink  and heat embossed with Top Boss Embossing Powder: White. Then, I sprayed the die cut with River Mossy Smooch Spritz.

Have a great Saturday!

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. We have challenges every other week - DETAILS HERE - if you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Challenge: Spring, flowers, garden...my favorite...I had way too many options so I went with  what was around me. I try to clean up as much as I can, but I am surrounded by scraps and beautiful stamps. I can't wait for spring to arrive. We have some really cold temperatures around here (-6).

I stamped the Daffodil Bouquet E8576 on watercolor paper and painted them with watercolor. The Silhouette 15 butterfly D5565 is stamped with blue ink an cut out.

I added a stamped piece of cardstock to my chipboard window and I used Cover-a-card Canvas CC073
I stamped my sentiment Full Bloom C8583 on American Crafts sticker.

{ Technique Tuesday All Stamping Tech Challenge: Color }

Teri challenged us to make a project based on this color scheme. You can see more beautiful examples here.
I used Simply Stated, Message in a Banner, Glee (for the background) and The Cupcakery.

 I stamped the cupcake on patterned paper. Once it was cut I added Stickles.
 I stamped my background with music notes and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used Shimmerz spray for the background.
For the banner  stamp I was able to use my Cricut and SCAL software to make a template for the base. Once it was cut I just stamped my banner. I used this great tutorial.

***If you missed out on December Daily stamp set by Ali Edwards you can let them know and if enough people sign up they will make more.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - These are a few of my favorite things....}

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. We have challenges every other week - DETAILS HERE - if you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

My Favorite Things, from The Sound of Music (words to the song at the end of my post). I looked at all the stuff that I had and one stamp was perfect for the challenge - Gift of Love CL137 - brown paper packages tied up with strings. The song makes me happy so I used all my favorite colors together.
 I stamped the background with Cover-a-card Snowflakes CC066 using VersaMark and clear embossing powder with glitter (hard to see in the photo). I sprayed the background with Shimmerz Vibez Spritz.
The lace circle die cut is from Laina Lamb digital kit. I used my Cricut Expression to cut it out, the size that I want!!! I used my SCAL and Cricut to cut the borders, as well.

I colored the image with watercolors. I have this Watercolor Wheel Stack Pack by Koh-I-Noor that I love. The colors are really bright. I added Stickles to the tree. The sentiment is from Holiday Borders CL137.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designers' blogs for inspiration! Jenny, Dina, Laura, Julie, Jeanne, Kathy and Deborah.

{ Technique Tuesday Wordy Words challenge }

Teri has a new challenge posted at Splitcoaststamers message board. "Your challenge is to make card that uses stamped words on it in some way. You can make a card with a stamped sentiment. You can make a card with a background paper created with several different word stamps. You can even make a card with a shapes created with stamped words. The sky is the limit here." See all the info HERE.
You have until Oct. 19th to complete the Wordy Words challenge.
***You do not need to use Technique Tuesday stamps. If you do, you get an extra entry for the PRIZE.

For my card I used  Day In Day Out stamp set to stamp the days of the week on Jenni Bowlin journaling card. For the sentiment I used Simply Stated set. I used my Cricut Expression to cut the card shape. It's so easy, I should do it more often. After I adhered patterned paper I painted the edges with yellow paint. The flower is from Orchard Mix collection by Prima.
I hope you have time to play with us.

{ NEW Fall-Winter stamps from Impression Obsession #2 }

Make sure you check out the Impression Obsession blog for daily links to cards with the new stamps.

I stamped the Snowy Sapling (F8479) on cardstock and the cut the bracket shape with my Cricut. I layered that over Cover-a-card Music (CC029) stamped background. I can make the bracket shape any size with my SCAL software. I sprayed the background, lightly, with Glimmer Mist. The image is colored with Prismacolor.
I added a pin and a Joy (A5461) sentiment to the top.

This one was fun to color. Gary Robertson Apples (H1782). The background is stamped with Cover-a-card Lines (CC060). I just added some hemp cord to complete the card. Pretty simple.

I remembered that the bicycle set, Riding Pretty (CL255)  had a tree and I wanted to use it with the new stamps. The background is stamped with new Cover-a-Card Circles (CC055) and I added the Newsprint (CC068) stamped border. I stamped the flower with the Newsprint stamp, too.
I added Flower Soft to the tree and red glitter for the ornaments.
